View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a menu in which is applied typeface script. Typeface 0.11 version doesn't support hover on links. There is an experimental version but doesn't work very well for me, so i tried to implement hover by myself.
Problem is: hover works pretty well changing canvas context property fillColor and then calling fill(), but the stroke on hovered voice remains on another color. Difficult to explain, so i put some test code online: TEST CODE As you can see, passing with mouse on the menu voices triggers the hover and the element change, but remains bordered in red.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make buttons that change from one color to another when you click them and change back when you click them a third time. I wrote this page (http://cf.lehigh.edu/ems/test.html) but it only works on Firefox(Not IE or Chome, untested on safari or Opera). I'm using javascript to change the button colors. Is there another way to do this that works universal or another tool such as CSS?

We are developing an Ajax based application. In this application the
URL is fixed and as user navigates on the application we will change
Anchor on the URL so that user can bookmark the url and can load the
page on demand.
When user refreshes the page we have no issue in the populating the
page based on the anchor in URL as on load we can capture the
hash(#anchor) and act accordingly.
sample URL: http://www.google.com/somecontext#<anchor>
When the user clicks back button anchor is changing but not able to
know where to get callback.
Is there any event or way I can find when the user has clicked back
button.
Basically, I have a page that I load with 10 input fields. If users
have JS enabled I want to hide 5 of these fields so as to reduce
clutter. If the user needs these extra fields an "Add" button can be
used to display the hidden fields one by one.
Once the fields a filled in the user submits them for validation and
if there are any error They can "Go back" to make some changes. The
whole process works great in FF & Opera but IE lets me down because if
you use the Browser "Back" button the Javavscript gets executed even
though it should be loaded out of cache.
How you handle back button scenario in firefox browser. The problem is when i click browser back button , the javascript on load is not executed and page is rendered from cache.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to have a lightbox pop up when a user clicks the Back button in their browser rather than just navigating back. The purpose is to ask a question with a Yes/No answer, and if they click No, I allow them to go back. The only thing I've found anything like this is the onUnload event, but that doesn't prevent them from going back. How should this be handled?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to write a script that uses the IF statement to see wether or not a user clicked the back button to come to a page, and then if it's true to not let the page load and kick them back X number of pages (say 4) This is what I have so far:
<script language="JavaScript"><!--
if javascript:window.history.back == 1

javascript:window.history.back(4);
return false;
}

I have a large form. The submit button doesn't work if the data to be posted back is too long.
1. How to send only MODIFIED fields back?
2. What's the max len of the data I can sent back using post method? Does it depend on browser?
I've been trying to figure out how to echo back error messages from a PHP edit page, for example. Say if I am editing a grid and sending that info with json to a php page to update a database, if there is a validation or other problem, how do I echo that back on the page with the jquery? Do I put that in a div container too for best practice?
View 7 Replies View RelatedA page I'm working on lets users open a new window, which in turn lets them send data back to the parent page to create new table rows, cells, links, etc. One of the links created is "delete", so it should delete the row that the delete link belongs to when clicked on. I can do this no problem in ff using the setAttribute('onclick',onClickEvent), but can't do this in IE. I'll show some code to make this easier to understand....

I've a function for my search form. Basically when you click on the form box where it says "Enter your search here" this value disapears when you click in the box. When you click out the box it re adds the value. It works if you click return on the keyboard and performs the search no problem. However if you click the search button with the mouse it removes the search term and replaces it back with "Enter your search here". This obviously will not return the search.
Anyone know how I can fix this so this does not happen on the mouse click?
I've used jsfiddle to add the html and javascript but it is not working in there, but works if you add it to dreamweaver and look at it within a browser. [URL]

I am wondering how Back, Forward browser button works for iframes. Does it bring back/forward iframe or top window? I remember I had before a problem because I wanted to bring back iframe and not top window as it did. But today I tested my Facebook app and was surprised to see it works as I need which means it brings back/forward iframe window and not top. Is it possible that Facebook has some javascript code which does that or is this normall behaviour?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have a new window document write which outputs all my data after validation into a new window, I have tried to write a button which will (when clicked) send that information to an email address. here is my code so far. i spent about 2 hours checking and playing around looking for errors couldnt find any. I think the problem is the function EmailForm and function subwrite. Is a button written into a new window a common thing to do? or is there another simpler way, however i want the user to be able to check to see if there data is valid and then click to send the email.

I have a graphic with a rollover for site navigation on each page. I
put the page to go back to in the rollover javascript.
My question is, is it possible to put in some code that will refer the
visitor back to whatever page they came from rather than one I
specify?
The rollover is combined with a tooltip script to make matters fun
(below). However, I'm quite happy to lose the tooltip to have the link
perform as a back button.
<a href="../index.asp"
onmouseover="document.images['link1'].src=img2.src;
showtip(this,event,'Back to home page');"
onmouseout="document.images['link1'].src=img1.src; hidetip()";><img
src="bhome.gif" name="link1" border=0></a>
how do i make the page go all the way to the top after you press the back button?
for example, you would go to page 1 and you scroll mid-way, then you press a link to page 2. then you press the back button on page 2 and takes you back to page 1 but it brings you back to the section where you scrolled mid-way.
is there any way to make it so it will automatically bring you to the top of the page. ive seen it on other sites.
i'm trying to find a way to reset the back button so when incrementing through my forms the users can't acidently go back to a previous page
