Button Colors Flipfloping - Change From One Color To Another When Click Them And Change Back When Click Them A Third Time
Feb 12, 2010
I'm trying to make buttons that change from one color to another when you click them and change back when you click them a third time. I wrote this page (http://cf.lehigh.edu/ems/test.html) but it only works on Firefox(Not IE or Chome, untested on safari or Opera). I'm using javascript to change the button colors. Is there another way to do this that works universal or another tool such as CSS?
We are developing an Ajax based application. In this application the URL is fixed and as user navigates on the application we will change Anchor on the URL so that user can bookmark the url and can load the page on demand.
When user refreshes the page we have no issue in the populating the page based on the anchor in URL as on load we can capture the hash(#anchor) and act accordingly.
When the user clicks back button anchor is changing but not able to know where to get callback. Is there any event or way I can find when the user has clicked back button.
How would I go about doing something like this?I want to have a div, and when you click on it the content changes. Then I want it so that if you click anywhere else besides that div, the content should be changed back.So I want <div></div> to change to <div>content</div> when you click on it, and when you click anywhere else in the document it should turn back to <div></div>
I've got 2 scripts for my website. The first is an AJAX script which loads the different pages when the links are clicked. The second scriptfades content in and out on the home page when another set of links are in.
I'm struggling to change the color of both sets of links when they're clicked.
Here's the code:
$(document).ready(function() { //AJAX: loading contens of pages var hash = window.location.hash.substr(1); var href = $('#nav li a').each(function(){
When someone clicks link in topNavigation frame (the top nav bar), I want 2 things to happen at the same time. A new html page will load into mainContent frame and I want an image to change in rightFrame. Is there a way to make this work?
I want to have <div> cells that the background-color css style dynamically change between 4 colors depending on how many times they are clicked. The options are none, yellow, red and green then repeat. So when the page loads, they are all at none, and if you click once it goes to green, twice to yellow, three times to red, then back to none.
I am creating a firefox extension, and I wish to change the image of the cursor upon click of a button. Firefox has setCursor() but it does nto inherit the browser element.
Is there a way I can change the cursor, that will appear on the web page?
On clicking 'OS' radio button I want to get the 1st form and hide second one and on clicking 'Platform' radio button I want the second form and hide the first one.
I need to get the invalid fields to change back to blue when they're validated upon submit or even clicking out of the field.I'm not good in writing javascript yet so please include all of the javascript and html with the edits highlighted in the code:
The page: http://shoppingcartcash.com The js: http://shoppingcartcash.com/form.js
There are two radio buttons, sometimes one will be disabled, other times the other will be disabled. I would like to make a script that: First: Changes the color of surrounding text of the disabled radio button to the color grey. Second: Checks the other radio button.
This was my plan: I would make a script that: First: Removes all the current classes and add the class "greyed_out" (or better: change only the color of) the parent element, all siblings and children of siblings (if any) of the radio button that is disabled at that time.Second: Sets the attribute "checked to the other radio button". I made a script, but when I set the bottom radio button to disabled the script doesn't work:
I am on the page [url]. I click on the .mouseenter() link and get to page [url]. Now I click on the IE back button and wait. Finally, when I click on the back button a second time, I return to the page [url]. Two clicks on the back button is a problem.
Basically, I have a page that I load with 10 input fields. If users have JS enabled I want to hide 5 of these fields so as to reduce clutter. If the user needs these extra fields an "Add" button can be used to display the hidden fields one by one.
Once the fields a filled in the user submits them for validation and if there are any error They can "Go back" to make some changes. The whole process works great in FF & Opera but IE lets me down because if you use the Browser "Back" button the Javavscript gets executed even though it should be loaded out of cache.
While the background color of a div is changing when i click on a button, the image in the other div must change.
Now i have placed a bg image in a div and when i click on my menu link it changes so that works, but i would love to give it a transition, but is that even possible with the background image.
Or do i need to write some other code?
The colors and images change, but really would love a bounce in transition, cant figure it out though maybe it would be better with a list and placing the images just in the slider div?
I've a function for my search form. Basically when you click on the form box where it says "Enter your search here" this value disapears when you click in the box. When you click out the box it re adds the value. It works if you click return on the keyboard and performs the search no problem. However if you click the search button with the mouse it removes the search term and replaces it back with "Enter your search here". This obviously will not return the search.
Anyone know how I can fix this so this does not happen on the mouse click?
I've used jsfiddle to add the html and javascript but it is not working in there, but works if you add it to dreamweaver and look at it within a browser. [URL]
This is the code: <script type="text/javascript"> function make_blank() {
I am new to javascript (4 months), I would like to add an hour to the current time each time a button is clicked.
I have this code: var hourstbutton=document.getElementById("button3"); hoursbutton.onclick=function() { var divlink=document.getElementById("math3"); var newtime2=new Date(); var currenthours2=newtime2.getHours()+1; var currentmins2=newtime2.getMinutes(); var currentsecns2=newtime2.getSeconds(); var ampm2= (currenthours2>=12) ? "P.M." : "A.M."; if (currenthours2>=13) { currenthours2-=12; }if(currenthours2<1){ currenthours2=12; }if(currentmins2<10){ currentmins2= "0" + currentmins2; }if(currentsecns2<10){ currentsecns2="0" + currentsecns2; } divlink.innerHTML=currenthours2+":"+currentmins2+":"+currentsecns2+ " "+ampm2;
How do I tie the number of button clicks into the number of times this code is executed?
On the right hand side you'll see a module called Tinker. Basically its a set javascript button that will change either the background color or the font color of the site. I'm trying to add a button that changes the header font color
Here is the code for the Javascript method.
changeBG function changeBG(num){ document.body.style.backgroundImage = ""; document.bgColor = color[num];
I want to change the color of a button when it is clicked and have added this getElementById line in the function called by onclick but when I add the line the function won't run. The function also contains AJAX to change the button content but everything else is working fine as long as I don't add this line.
Code: <input type = "button" id = "alternative1" value="$alt1" onClick="changeQuestion('alternative1')"> function changeQuestion(answer)
I'm trying to create a cell in a table which changes color depending which radio button is checked.
I found the following code which works for different cells but it doesn't work when the buttons are in the same cell. Think you'll see what i mean. I'm not too hot when it comes to Javascript though so i don't know how to adapt what I've got so far. Code:
i am looking for a way to click on a button next to a time field that will paste the current date and time into that filed in this format: 01:00:00 08-08-2007 is that possible?
