I have this ajax login plugin. If login ok, reload the document, else diaplay an error message above the login form. It works fine, execpt if hit keyboard enter button instead of click the submit button, it has no response. How to make the default keyboard enter button work?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a form setup so that when you enter something in a text field and click a button it checks to see if the value entered in the text field is the "correct" letter and if its right it changes the CSS property of a div container to be shown which then has a link to a the next question. So I don't really have a submit button because my form isn't setup to work with one.only problem is when you enter a letter and click enter it acts as a submit and the submit does nothing, which is what it's suppose to do.So what I'm asking is how can I get that button to respond to an enter instead of the default submit taking over the enter key?

I am trying to make a textbox enter input by pressing the enter key, not just clicking a submit button. For some reason or another it is not working correctly for me. I found this snipet of code that works for me but I was wondering if someone can explain it to me. I get the basic of what it is doing, I just want to understand it better.

I want two buttons: one for login and another for logout. Initially login button is enabled and logout button is disabled. I am having trouble with a form submiting when the enter button is pressed in a text field causing it to submit.
Basically there is a text field and a button and when I click on the button it calls a function that does a a few things that need to happen before submiting. I submit the form in the function.
How can I prevent hitting enter on the text field submit the form. If I could do this then I could call a function onkeyup to check for the enter button being pressed and call the other function to submit the form.
I am so stuck on making a virtual keyboard using jquery. I found a great tutorial on nettuts however it requires you to click the letters on the virtual keyboard instead of using your actual keyboard and typing it. Does anybody know any tutorials that offer that or any suggestions? I know i have to use the keydown method but I really don't understand it. Here is an example of what it is suppose to be.

When this web page/form loads all the fieldsets at that time they are collapsed/closed but when user clicks on any legend the fieldset becomes expand/open.
Now I want to add another feature that when user finishes entering data in the controls of first fieldset and he/she wants to move to the very next fieldset. Then he/she (currently in the last control (that may be a textbox or a dropdown list) of the previous fieldset) can open/expand ***only*** the very next fieldset by just hitting/pressing tab from the keyboard.

I am trying to get this code to work in IE. It works on Firefox, but not on IE. Basically it blocks out scrolling the page down with space button, and registers up and down keys to run some code. The entire case statement including event registering and my code works completely fine in FF but it just won't work in IE (meaning that I can scroll down with space, and up and down with the up and down keys respectively).
By the way I put this function in the HEAD section.

my group of radio buttons are named "scheme". I have tried this from a few angles but can't crack it. Ideally I'd like to use input:radio[value:yes]. It's already a required value due to the JQuery validation plugin, and I simply need it to make the other field visible when yes is clicked on.

I have an internet key on my keyboard, and I'm sure others do too. When I push it, it opens Internet Explorer to my homepage. If I am already in internet explorer, and the page is focused, and I push the internet button, then it changes the location of the page to my homepage.
I want to prevent it from doing this for my users whom visit my site. I have a popup, and while in that popup, it is likely they push that button, or start internet explorer. Is there anyway to detect this, and either block it, or blur the page before it takes effect in Javascript?
It DOES NOT happen if I push START>Internet Explorer since when I click Start, it blurs the webpage.
