I have made a website that you need a password to get into. The following javascript code works in Internet Explorer but, I need it to work in Safari also. Can anyone please rewrite this code, as simple as possible, to work in both Safari and Internet Explorer?

I found his basic code online for a popup login but I don't know how to get the information from it either into php variables or whatever i need to do code...
I put the css on a separate page and just copied the login link and the javascripts. I don't know how to get the information into php variables so i can check it with the database.
I know I'm just asking for the answer but I don't know javascript and i don't want to spend a month learning it just for a login form. If your going to just say go learn javascript then don't post .

When I click on login button, the logout button should get enabled and the login button should get disabled. And after that, when i click on logout, the login button should get enabled and the logout button should get disable.
Here's how far I could go with it,but it doesn't work.
My webpage can work normally in IE but not in Safari(e.g. when I clicked on some buttons like 'Delete' button, the page opened in Safari stays the same while it should delete the object chosen).When I tried debugging on Safari, after clicking the 'update' button, this message error appeared: "TypeError: Result of expression 'this.form.fireEvent' [undefined] is not a function". I removed the " around the javascript:ajaxpage('login.php'); as it was giving me syntax error. But I am unable to cal login .php upon clicking Login. I tried various combination of single quote and double quote but I think I am missing some fundamental rules of single and double quote combination....or may be something else.

I have a routine that creates some HTML on the fly (updateFilters() function) and after the HTML is created, I attempt to access some fields (elements) on the form itself.
I works fine if I place an alert() statement after the HTML is created, but when I remove, the code errors out.
I have tried the setTimeout() statement, but I cannot grab the element --- undefined or null is returned. It seems that the form is the only element I can get a handle on --- everything else is undefined or null...

This works fine when I place this code under the html in the main source, but if I try to add this Jquery code to an external js sheet it doesnt seem to work?
Currently my js sheet is called in the header, when I move this link to the footer of my page the code works again, so Im guessing this has something to do with where the jquery code is placed in relation to the code Im trying to hide?
How I can keep my js in the header but still make the content disappear on click?

I am using javascript from wz_tooltips from WalterZorn.The tool tips work fine in FireFox and Internet Explorer but they do not work at all in Safari. The script on the Walter Zorn web site work in Safari so I'm really perplexed why I can't get it to work.

I'm developing with jQuery quite long right now, but recently I spotted one big problem with execution of jQuery code in Safari and Chrome. So everything is working fine in these browsers until jQuery code is placed in one page. But when using for example tabs plug-in loaded with ajax and on this loaded page exists some extra jQuery code it isn't executed.Co page is loaded but nothing is happening with code which was included. This problem doesn't exists in IE, FF or Opera. It appears only in Safari and Chrome. The same problem is when I'm loading page with $.get, $.post or $.ajax query. So it doesn't affect tabs plug-in but
overall functionality. I was checking that with latest versions of jQuery and UI today.
