I would like to know why this function not working with Mozila and Safari,
I have a script that runs a sprite animation on the canvas, adapted from here: [URL] After wondering why it wouldn't work on Safari or older versions of Firefox, I saw this: [URL] and implemented the suggested shim. I'm building a simple corporate site (temp on my server) for a friend's company and am having an issue with an animation I have implemented. everything has worked fine for me (mac, firefox and safari) but my friend sent me a couple screenshots of the animation freezing on his computer (safari) when it is only halfway complete. the two examples are:

the code seems perfectly fine to me, and I am having no problem with any of it.. does anybody have an idea of what might be causing this? or is nobody seeing the animation freezing?
The very simple code (below) works fine in Safari (and Chrome, Firefox etc.), but it doesn't work in Mobile Safari. Why?(You can find a working example at: http:[url]....)

My webpage can work normally in IE but not in Safari(e.g. when I clicked on some buttons like 'Delete' button, the page opened in Safari stays the same while it should delete the object chosen).When I tried debugging on Safari, after clicking the 'update' button, this message error appeared: "TypeError: Result of expression 'this.form.fireEvent' [undefined] is not a function". I believe this code makes the incompatability between the 2 browser:

I try to use jquery to manage a little hierarchical menu. It seems easy, and after 1 hour of scripting (first time that I use Jquery) it's working in FF, Safari and Opera. It's not working in IE.[URL]..

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you look at this page [url] you will see that if you hover over the photo the text block goes up, and if you hover over the text it slides down and covers the photo. It's all pretty basic and it works fine. But ones I try to get them animated during the sliding up and down the trouble starts.
It works fine if you take the time and wait for them to go back to their starting position, but if you move over the items quickly it becomes a mess. You can see what I mean on this page [url]
I hoped that by adding a stop() before the animation if would fix the problem, but it doesn't really improve at all. It still quickly becomes a mess if you hover from one item to the next one.
How I could get the animations to work properly without it becoming a mess? I now there are double id's in the html, but unfortunately I can't really change the html.

However, the code only work great in firefox and opera. It doesn't work in chrome(7.0.517.24 ) and safari(5.0.1),failed without any alert,not even the alert("ajax failed"). Is there any bug in $.ajax in chrome and safari?

My problem arises when I use this to access the portfolio section. The portfolio section doesn't seem to work. If you head over to http:[url]... , you can see how the section should render and how a person can use the scroll feature, however, when the content is loaded using jQuery, it doesn't function properly.Additionally another problem i'm realizing is the delay of the content. For example, if you are on the contact page and then click on downloads, the content will slide left and then slide back right when the content is loaded. However the problem i'm seeing is the delay in the content loading meaning that the animation will finish and the content will then load.A second or two delay. I've tested it in multiple browsers and seeing the same problem. Surprisingly the only browser i'm not seeing this in is IE6.

I've set the animation to large numbers (1000) to make it very obvious.
The helper will show before the other fieldSets have been hidden. The show animation begins about half way through the hide animation. Since both elements are occupying the same space, this makes the container jump around in size as it breifly expands to fit one under the other.

I'm setting position left to 100% and it works except in Chrome/safari. These browsers set it about 100px from the left not 100%obj.css('left', '100%');Setting the css by itself <img src="" style="left:100%;position:absolute" works fine.I don't know if this is a browser problem or a jquery problem.

On IE, when you close the Ajax content there will be a alert message shows 'Jcarousel: No width/height set for items. This will cause an infinite loop. Aborting ...', but it doesn't matter as the alert function can be shut off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two select lists that have option lists that are created from external XML lists that contain course offerings available at different locations. Each location has a different set of course offerings. When a user selects a location, the javascript code will hide / show the option entries that correspond to the course offerings for that location. If a user selects a course offering, the javascript code will show / hide the locations that offer those courses.
Click events are attached to each of the Option entries with the code below. The code works correctly with Firefox and Opera, but the click events are never triggered in IE, Safari or Chrome. The Chrome debugger seems to indicate that the click events get set up in Chrome (although I am not sure where JQuery saves event handler data). Each option entry has a unique ID tag.

I am new to jquery, and love it so far, but I am more of a designer, not a developer. I am learning jquery to enhance my sites, and I am having a problem figuring out buttons.
