JQuery :: Animation & Loading - Portfolio Section Doesn't Seem To Work?

My problem arises when I use this to access the portfolio section. The portfolio section doesn't seem to work. If you head over to http:[url]... , you can see how the section should render and how a person can use the scroll feature, however, when the content is loaded using jQuery, it doesn't function properly.Additionally another problem i'm realizing is the delay of the content. For example, if you are on the contact page and then click on downloads, the content will slide left and then slide back right when the content is loaded. However the problem i'm seeing is the delay in the content loading meaning that the animation will finish and the content will then load.A second or two delay. I've tested it in multiple browsers and seeing the same problem. Surprisingly the only browser i'm not seeing this in is IE6.

This is my code:
I've set the animation to large numbers (1000) to make it very obvious.
The helper will show before the other fieldSets have been hidden. The show animation begins about half way through the hide animation. Since both elements are occupying the same space, this makes the container jump around in size as it breifly expands to fit one under the other.

My project is stated in the title, I want to let users who want to see my portfolio click on a button and the portfolio page slide over my index page. Ex. at www.visumdesignz.com over to the left is a button that says portfolio. when you click on it an extruder pops out, I used the extruder for another function, I decided I didn't want that function, but it gave me this idea. I want the extruder to slide over all of the content.
I noticed the facebook app has a similar function to what I am looking for, take a look at it, when you are looking at your dashboard the news feed slides off to the side, that's a similar idea, even though this isn't mobile, you get the idea, at least I hope.

I came up with some code to load javascript files dynamically. But I've got problems..
When the script element is dynamically added to the head section of html, i think that the document.ready event fires once again and therefore the code sort of runs twice.
In the html page I call this method:
In the script test.js I have the function SayHi():
The SayHi method never gets called and alert('begin') & alert('getScript') get called twice in this sequence:begin begin getScript getScript.

do the following: I have a thumbnail image that on rollover swaps to another image. At the same time i want to do a fade out/fade in animation between the images. Most of it is working but when the page loads for the first time there is no swaping of the image but just a fast opactity effect on the first image. Then if i try the rollover for the second time it does work as expected. Is it because the image that im loading doesn't load fast enough and the whole animation onRollover doesn't happen? I also have a problem when Rollover fast on the thumbnails. It just stays on the second image but doesn't go back to the first original image? For some reason the animation gets confused between the Rollover and Rollout states. Here is a link to see the example

I've set up two buttons to dynamically load in content. However for some reason the content only loads on the first time you click a button. The transition function does receive the correct variables however. The fade0ut animation also doesn't take affect whilst the replaceWith() function is inside the transition function.

This is a makeshift sort function for a table. I want to replace a div contents with a javascript function call. It works fine if I define the individual case, but the general case doesn't work. If you look at this page [url] you will see that if you hover over the photo the text block goes up, and if you hover over the text it slides down and covers the photo. It's all pretty basic and it works fine. But ones I try to get them animated during the sliding up and down the trouble starts.
It works fine if you take the time and wait for them to go back to their starting position, but if you move over the items quickly it becomes a mess. You can see what I mean on this page [url]
I hoped that by adding a stop() before the animation if would fix the problem, but it doesn't really improve at all. It still quickly becomes a mess if you hover from one item to the next one.
How I could get the animations to work properly without it becoming a mess? I now there are double id's in the html, but unfortunately I can't really change the html.

I wish to display a list of people on my website. These people are speakers who have different talents, or features. Male, female, high voice, low voice, german, english, persian, austrian ... a whole bunch of people. And I want to let my user use checkboxes to narrow down the speakers he could use for his production.
Here's the output filtering list (not complete, just rudimentary while I try to make it work)

My problem : I want to start with all checkboxes selected, showing all the people in this speakerpool, then narrow down as checkboxes get unchecked. This works well with combinations such as ".male .voice-low" which effectively removes all females and the other voices, I found here where I learned that is(".class1,.class2") is different to is(".class1.class2")
But, if I say, I want all english speakers, no matter if male or female, and I check male and female, I get none, since there is no speaker that is both male and female. At least not that I know of
Same issue with the voice-levels: most speakers either speak high or low or medium, yet I'd want to be able to check all those and get a comprehensive list, then.
My Question : Is there a way I can separate classes into class-groups or something? Maybe use prefixes like "sex-male, sex-female, language-english, language-german" and jQuery then uses the prefixes to check if they're supposed to be additive (?) or exlusive.

I have an iframe and I want to display a loading animation to the user until the iframe is fully loaded, this is want I did:
1. I start the iframe with style:display:none
2. I have a div that wraps the iframe
3. When the iframe is fully loaded a method is called from the iframe 'removeDivs', I change the div to be invisble with style:display:none and I set the iframe to be visible with stle:display:""
4. The problem: Because the div wraps the iframe, after changing the style of the iframe its stay invisible, the property I set doesn't affect.

The "Permission denied" cross site issue.
I have to check from my external domain if a service is running on localhost:8080 of a local machine.
I'm using XMLHttpRequest to do it.
I'm checking a local-web-server, not a file.
Every browser doesn't work, but Firefox. So I'm looking for a work-aorund.
An iframe? a flash swf? an applet java? HTA applications?
A side question is, why does FF work? Because it's a local-web-server?

I'm trying to select my textarea only if it is not empty. I have used :empty for this purpose. This works find when you load the page, however if you start typing in it still considers the value as it was when the page loads.
Example. If my textarea is empty when I load the page, it will consider it empty. If I starting typing in, and check if it is empty it still say it is empty.
The same vice versa. If my textarea has text when the page loads, then i clear that data, it still consider it filled not empty.
So how to make the check of :empty in real time?

I am also trying to achieve , displaying a loading activity indicator gif till the server (JSP) processes the validation work for my Ajax call.

The only thing I am not able to see the loading gif functionality.. But as I said..
If I put an alert message in function showLoadingImg() or the make the red line uncomment (making the line a error), Then I am getting the loading gif functionality work..
But, all next functions fail due to above red lined error (if its uncommented).

For my work i need to make a form. At some points you have to choose an option from a dropdown select box. After you have chosen one of those some other field appear under the dropdown thing. I use the slideToggle event for this effect. In firefox its all working fine, but in ie 6.0 and 7.0 it doesnt work. What do need:A dropdown menu with a few options in it. You can choose one of those and after you select it a few other options apear under the dropdown menu.
