Mouseover Producing Multiple Images Works In Firefox But Not I.e?
May 25, 2010
The code below allows the user to hover over 1 object and it not only replaces the object but also shows an additional object between the buttons.It works great in Firefox, but does not in Internet Explorer.
standard mouseover commands are used in index.php
<CODE>
<a href="http://www.tiimes.ucar.edu/beachon/" onMouseOver="imgOn('img1')" onMouseOut="imgOff('img1')">
i used setTimeout() function in my image gallery to scroll images , i used setTimeout("myfunction()",1) in my script. Now my image gallery is working properly but problem is that the speed of scrolling images if normal in firefox, but in internet explorer it is slow, and in google chrome it is very fast , Sir how to resolve this problem
What I'm looking to do is have a folder of images that I have show up on my website.I'm also looking to pull from this folder up to 6 or 7 times on the same page w/ randomized pictures that do not repeat.Finally, I'm looking to be able to size and name these images based on which image randomly pulls. b/c it's not grabbing the images.
I need to refresh multiple images on my site. So every time the page gets refreshed the images need to change. It worked fine with the script below, but this is only related to 1 image
I tried to copy the script and change the "ID's" but this does not do the job.
1. Display a base image on a page, e.g. image0.jpg.
2. On mouseover that image, it begins cycling through other images while the mouse is over it - (image1.jpg, img2.jpg, img3.jpg, etc.) and continues to cycle through them over and over again while the mouse is over.
3. Onmouseout, it goes back to displaying the base image (image0.jpg).
4. Needs to support multiple instances on the same page.
This is for an index page for different galleries, so there will be like 20 images showing on the page, and when the visitor puts their mouse over any of the images, it will cycle through the preview images for that gallery.
Problem is it doesn't do anything. When I only have one image set to change on mouseover it works fine.. I put two or more in there it doesn't work on any of the images.
I've been ask to produce a new upload form that can allow multiple files to be uploaded with each article i was thinking of adding an upload form field than when text is added to the text field an extra file name description and upload text box would appear on the page via javascript.
So the more files that add to the form the more dynamically produced form text boxes are added, i have been looking to find if this could be done or what way is better, if anyone could help with telling where to look or how to dynamically produce more text areas. Or could you let me know another solutions to this.
I have seen it work on my mobile when added new contacts, you type in mobile number and then the home text box appears below it, then you type in home number and then the work text box appears. etc..
I currently have an image and underneath it there are 6 thumbnails. When I run the cursor over them the big image changes. This works fine. However, I would like to have text beside the big picture that also changes depending on the thumbnail over which I am hovering.
I have tried to work it out myself but failed miserably. I have tried forums, but can't find what I need. My code as it stands at the moment is:
<script type="text/javascript"> if (document.images) {image0 = new Image; image0.src = "i/p0.png"; image1 = new Image;
Does anyone have any sample scripts or even tips on how to get an image to mouseover and when clicked will submit a form. (as graphic buttons will not mousover)
I am trying to set a function to be called on the change event of some textboxes with the classes "vii_year1", "vii_year2", "vii_year3", and "vii_year4".
Here is the code:
$(document).ready( function() { for (var i = 1; i <= 4; i++) { var year = i + '';
I am developing a framed site. I'd like to utilize javascript "mousevoer" to change images that are used for navigating the site. Where to find something like that?
I have created a page using the code below and it works fine.
Is there any way that I can replicate the gallery further down the page using different images? When I try, the mouseover on the top gallery opens the images in the bottom gallery.
I have a problem when changing images and image maps with mouseover and click events in IE. Firefox, Chrome and Safari all work well but IE does not. It's hard to describe but when I mouse over a hot spot the image changes and then right away changes back. you can see it here (http:url....): here is the Javascript code:
var current_overID = ""; var last_overID = ""; function item (img_name,width,height)[code]....
I have a number of images placed on a map (the images are dots indicating a location)
When clicked, that displays different textual information somewhere on the page. View here and click the dots on the map for what I am trying to explain: [url]
What I want to do now is to toggle these dots so that when clicked, the dot turns white. This I could do with some code I found on the net. However, I need it to toggle all images. In that if one image has been clicked and turned white, and then the user clicks a different black ot, then that black dot should turn white, and the white dot should turn back clack.
Since I like to minimize on graphics to keep bandwidth low, I have been using a script to simulate buttons.When you mouseover, you get some color changes which revert back when you move the mouse off.Simple, right?The problem is that firefox totally ignores the script. Even worse, safari changes on mouseover, but doesn't revert on mouseout.I have this in the heading:
<script LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> function ColorBlock(oRegion,sLinkID) {
After many trials and errors finding exactly what someone wanted I came up with the solution I wanted for an image rollover. The problem is I put all the code directly into the mouseover/mouseout function. I am not sure how to implement this into two separate Javascript functions to limit the amount of code I have to write. The reason I am not sure how to write the function is because the images are in classes and the results are going to be pulled from a sql query, so they can't have their own id. So, in a nutshell, I just would like some guidance on how to put the mouseover/mouseout code into a Javascript function. Here is my code markup.
I've been searching for a while now to try to find a certain version of a mouseover script.
What I have is an image with multiple hotlinks and a seperate offimage. What I am trying to get it to do is whenever any one of the hotlinks are "mousedover" (6 seperate ones), a new onimage replaces the offimage.
Each hotlink has its own onimage that will replace the offimage until the mouse is moved off the hotlink; the onimage then reverts back to the offimage.
I haven't been able to find any examples of it, but I have seen similar things in the past.
