Multiple Random Images - Size And Name These Images Based On Which Image Randomly Pulls?

What I'm looking to do is have a folder of images that I have show up on my website.I'm also looking to pull from this folder up to 6 or 7 times on the same page w/ randomized pictures that do not repeat.Finally, I'm looking to be able to size and name these images based on which image randomly pulls. b/c it's not grabbing the images.

Im trying to design a website at the moment...
and i dont know the first thing about javascript...
Basically what i want to do is have 6 images change randomly on load of the webpage...
Basically i have:
- 1 main image
- 1 logo
- 4 buttons
Now these buttons all have a certain colour in them...
Each one is different... (green, blue, orange, purple)
So when someone loads the webpage i need all the images to change randomly...
BUT, here comes the hard part for me...
I need the images to all change together...
So i dont have a green button, a red logo, a blue main image...
As they are randomly changing on load of the page, i need them to all change together... so there are 6 RED images...
Next time they load, there are 6 green images...
Its essential that colours are not mixed...

I have a concept I want to develop but haven't been able to find a jQuery plugin that will do what i need. I am hoping if someone knows of a script or even to share if this is possible.
What I want is to have about 10 small images to be displayed horizontally and have each of these images fade in and out at random times and being replaced by other images.
I have a flash example that i would like to replicate that would give you an example of what i want to achieve. If you look at the bottom of the page where the platinum sponsors are this is what i want to replicate.

Iīve just launch my website-portfolio, well itīs not yet the final version but it is almost and despite I am satisfied with the final result Iīve detected a really strange bug that only happens sometimes. The thing is when the first introduction Slide appears (the one with the hand-made drawings), sometimes the images shrink from the normal size to small tiny images. This doesnīt happen always and if you refresh the page it disappears.

I prefer jQuery over flash and not sure how to tackle this, so please advise as best you can. Trying to create a site that allows for images to go full browser and then have the ability to have the other images slide in based on a click.
I also want to float a menu that will allow it to pull in other media (video, that would slide in the same way). The best example I can share is this: http://j.mp/5U79i1 What he is using is flash based (slideshowpro director and slideshow pro for flash). Not interested in flash for this personal project.

I am trying to put an image on the front page of my website that changes to one of two random images on mouseover. This part was easy, and has been done (I got the code from [URL] But what I am finding difficult is to make each image link to a different page. For example, if the user mouseovers the main image and sees the 'thumbs up' image, then clicks on it, they should be taken to the 'thumbs up' page. And if the user mouseovers the main image and sees the 'thumbs down' image, then clicks on it, they should be taken to the 'thumbs down' page. I need to refresh multiple images on my site. So every time the page gets refreshed the images need to change. It worked fine with the script below, but this is only related to 1 image
I tried to copy the script and change the "ID's" but this does not do the job.

I created a slideshow that displays the 5 images randomly. It is for a college project for a class I am in.
Here is the HTML for the area that holds the images
And here is the external .js file for it
I had the slideshow working completely fine... then when i finished the rest of the site and added more pages, it is now not working for me. It just sits at the original image that is loaded when they site loads.

I have a flash menu bar at the top of my html page... I have 4 flash files with the same menu but the main image for each is different. I'm aiming for a page filled with a stack of images (about 20) - each pulled at random from a set of hundreds, ideally but not necessarily without repetition.There are heaps of threads discussing rotating individual images at random but I can't find any referencing a whole wall of images. The plan is for the arrangement to be determined only by the width of the browser so there really doesn't need to be any design to the page - just a long line of pictures, without gaps, wrapped.

I have multiple divs on a page, each with some images in it, you could think of every div as a row. On .ready() the images in these rows are being .hidden()What I want to happen next is that the images in the rows are being loaded randomly with a .fadeIn() but every image 1 second after the other. I've tried some things but I can't seem to get it all together

make a site with image wich would change based on seconds and minutes of an hour.
Image (size about 500x280) should change every second (or at least every 5 sec).
Example: If I enter the site at 15:00.07, first image i would see would be Image 0007 which changes after a second to 0008 and so on.
If entering the site 17:59.59 Image would number 3600 and next would be 0001.

I have a number of images placed on a map (the images are dots indicating a location)
When clicked, that displays different textual information somewhere on the page. View here and click the dots on the map for what I am trying to explain: [url]
What I want to do now is to toggle these dots so that when clicked, the dot turns white. This I could do with some code I found on the net. However, I need it to toggle all images. In that if one image has been clicked and turned white, and then the user clicks a different black ot, then that black dot should turn white, and the white dot should turn back clack.

I am trying to make different images hover over a table of sliced images when you mouse over a particular image. ex. mouse over image 1 = have image 1.1 hover over entire table of images in spot A; mouse over image 2 = have image 2.2 hover over entire table of images in spot B....ect. what i have so far only allows me to mouse over image 1 and have image 1.1 hover over entire table in spot A. Any time i try to move forward with more div's on other images it just jacks everything up.

Newbie here. I am seeking to swap out three images when rolling over one. Cursor hovers over one image - three new images, in different locations, are seen on screen. When cursor moves away - the images revert to "normal" state.
Image 1 - thumbnail - bottom right of screen
When rolling over Image 1, three images change:
Image 1 - to shaded version of the thumbnail
Image 2 - main image center of screen
Image 3 - text box image top right of screen

Now my image gallery is working properly but problem is that the speed of scrolling images if normal in firefox, but in internet explorer it is slow, and in google chrome it is very fast , Sir how to resolve this problem

I have a site which requires the user to upload multiple images at once. Using jQuery I have set it up so that the user can select individuals individually (using the file browser) and then upload them all at the same time bty clicking 'Upload'. However, this is not really good enough...
What I need to happen is that when the user browses their machine to select their images, they are able to select multiple images through CTRL+click. At the minute they can only select one image at a time. How can this be achieved?
As I already have the upload process working perfectly, I would prefer that I was able to keep this intact and simply add some javascript which allowed multiple images to be selected by the file browser at the same time. I would also prefer, if possible, not to use flash.

I need to get the size of images that I 'm preloading to make a javascript photo scroller. IE gets the correct sizes but Mozilla/firefox/Opera always get 24px when loaded for the first time. Whenever I click on refresh it works it is just the first time.
One thing I have noticed if that if I add an "alert ('whatever');" after preloading each image it does work. Any clue what could be wrong? why adding an allert makes it work?
Remember it does not work when loading the page the first time so you need to close down the browser and reopen it. Code:

I am basically looking to create a background for my website and when you refresh the page the image changes to another picture for the background. I have asked one of my good friends to have a look at it and he gave me some code to work with and so I have changed bits here and there and it worked in firefox and safari but will not work in IE.
