View 1 Replies View RelatedI am developing a web application in which I need to integrate a javascript/html editor on some of the web pages and then provide 'Edit' buttons on those web pages so that users can edit the content on that partciular html/jsp page (like editing in wiki pages) and then, when they add some content and click on submit button, the new content should appear on the web page with all the formatting (i.e. bold, italics, color and so on) which was applied by user when he was entering the text.
Now, I need help for the below issues:
1. Suggest me a good javascript/html editor (freely downloadable) which I can use to integrate with my web pages.
2. Once the user has entered some content using the above javascript editor, how to make that content reach the server and update the corresponding web page.
I have a site which requires the user to upload multiple images at once. Using jQuery I have set it up so that the user can select individuals individually (using the file browser) and then upload them all at the same time bty clicking 'Upload'. However, this is not really good enough...
What I need to happen is that when the user browses their machine to select their images, they are able to select multiple images through CTRL+click. At the minute they can only select one image at a time. How can this be achieved?
As I already have the upload process working perfectly, I would prefer that I was able to keep this intact and simply add some javascript which allowed multiple images to be selected by the file browser at the same time. I would also prefer, if possible, not to use flash.
Is it possible to pause images when the user mouse overs an image. For example, I need to adapt the Javascript on this site to incorporate a pause when the user hovers over the image.

I am using CuteEditor for my WYSIWYG text editor. I like to hide all the icons until the user click on the textbox editor. Is there a way to do this in jQuery?

It is important that I find a reliable method because the application must be self-contained so it can be easily shared. Below is a sample of my current approach:

After just a few images it creates a very large javascript file. Seems like it is pretty inefficient as far as code goes.Goals of optimal approach: Must work in IE6/7 and All other modern browsers. View 6 Replies View RelatedI found a small fading script online which suits my needs though I need some help changing it around a bit as it seems to only work once in a page (i.e. a second occurance of the code doesn't work though the first one continues). Also, I'm not quite sure how to put it into a .js external page and then call the specific function as many times as I want in the body and have it all work. Please advise on this issue (i.e. Putting the code in an external file and then calling the fadeIn() function as many times as I want in the body)W, the concept is a fixed imaged with the js fading another image over the top of that first image in and out over and over again. All the images and application of the js will be the same for all occurrences on the page (don't know if that's relevant to the solution I'm asking for but throwing it in there just in case).Here is the code:

I have test my app before, and It worked I have managed to post to my page wall. But now after I have changed the code and removed the permissions, and logged in again it didn't work and trowed this exception:

I have created a table that allows the user to edit specific cells by clicking on them. Their new entered values set the value on the table. They then should be able to submit a form which sets several hidden inputs equal to the values in the table then passing the information to a php page to process. However, the php page doesn't output anything when it is submitted. This is the form layout.

I am working on an application where the user is able to draw using square images placed using absolute positions. The user can draw any shape but it must always be connected. I now need to work out the outline of the shape they created. The only information I have is the x y of the pictures that were placed. Its driving me crazy... I tried to work out a system of looping through all the pictures and seeing if there were any images touching.
My most recent idea was to make the javascript select the images and see if I could get the coordinates of the shape from there... In simple I need a way of merging the images into a shape rather than separate entities.

I have a form.On the form I have a drop down box that allows the user to select a data set to work with (A or B). The table loads just fine and all is right with the world. No problems there.What I need is for the user to be able to edit the data set and have those changes written directly back to the mySQL database. They also need the option of deleting a record entirely.I know how to do all the database queries, updates, etc. I just don't know how to write the ajax forms to accomplish this.

I can imagine one that allows you to load up an existing image - draw lines, place text, fill etc using something like XMLHttpRequest to work. It would be like a java image editor but lighter. It would then let you save the new drawing.
I've tried looking round but not found much except a business card designer which allows you to type text at predefined locations.
I'm trying out scripts previously made but with no luck. I cant get it to work.
