Switching "button" For An Image - Script Directing The HTML Form
Jun 2, 2011
My problem is similar to an earlier issue here but I have a script directing the HTML form. I want to change the "button" to an image in my cpanel and have tried an earlier answer with no luck.
I did manage to get the button replaced with my image but the javascript does not work and allows a signup to bypass filling out the form and go to the destination page.
The script works perfectly with the "button" but I really would like to have my image I made.
I am trying to write a script to switch style sheets when a user clicks a button. I got my script to work. I created buttons with in the script, put them in a div, and used appendChild to add the div to the page. This all works and the style sheets switch, however I want to add a cookie, so when the user returns to the page it displays with the style sheet they were using last. I can't figure out how to grab which style sheet the user selected, to add it to the cookie. I have included the code for the switching.
function addEvent(object, evName, fnName, cap) { if (object.attachEvent)
I hope I'm posting in the right place. I looking to create an image banner rotater with tabs switching the images. On first click of a tab, I'm looking for the function to switch to that tab's associated image. After the image is active, the next time you click on that same tab, it would kick you to some URL within the site. It would function like on the Yahoo! homepage: the tab box with NEWS | WORLD | LOCAL | FINANCE
Does anyone know of an existing jQuery function to do this?
I want to create the form button similar to this: [url]
I use an OnClick to switch the image but the if else statement just doent let me switch back to the original image, i not sure where i have gone wrong...
I have a site where i switch between two images using some JavaScript. What I need is to be able to set a session variable or something so that if someone selects shading on or off it sticks to that for the rest of the session.
Any idea or even a point in the right direction. Do i need cookies or is there a simple way to do this
I'm writing a form and I'm using javascript to validate fields (i.e. numeric, not blank). When my scripts detects an error I want it to put the cursor in the corresponding field. I've tried the focus option, but that doesn't seem to work. This is the code I'm using:
if (TestOk=="N") { alert('Veld mag niet leeg zijn'); veld.select(); veld.focus(); }
The veld.select() does select the error string, the focus, however doesm't seem to work. Anybody got a suggestion?
Trying to click (onClick) an animated gif image of an on/off switch to start a second animation which is located on a different location on the web-page (a 7-frame animation of a generator with moving parts) immediately followed by a random image selection function placing an image in a 3rd location on the page (next to the generator image). The random images are supposed to look like the result of the generator animation---the item that pops out of the generator.
We thought the process to achieve this would be an OnClick on the on/off switch-animated-gif to start two javascript functions (generato animation function & random image function). To further complicate matters, we are doing this website in iWeb. Were using iWeb SEO Tool to add the javascript to the header and HTML snippet in iWeb to place the HTML code. Not sure were actually doing the snippet right though---is it supposed to relate to the images---or is it separate? When the gifs are place on the iweb page, they work in the browser upon page load---the on-click & the random image function are NOT working...so we know weve done something(s) wrong.
Were thinking that were probably missing some code that describes where the 3 different image-spots are on the page (image #1 is the on/off switch gif, image#2 is the generator gif, image#3 is the generator output.png)....or just arent coding the string of functions correctly---or maybe our strategy for achieving this is just no correct (?).Here is the code we have tried that didnt work.
[CODE] script language = JAVASCRIPT> <!-- Hide script from old browsers function gif_animation(){
I have a banner that has image navigation on the lower right. The navigation links are images which, when clicked, change the banner without reloading the page. The actual switching of the banner is working when each image is clicked.
However, my problem is this:
The page itself is long and must be vertically-scrolled to see the entire content. Because of the scrolling, the banner could appear anywhere vertically on the page. And whenever I click the banner navigation hrefs, the page "jumps" so that the banner is at the top. The page should really stay in the fixed position.
I'm not sure how to set it up so that no matter where the banner section is on the scrolled page, that the page stays in the same position when the navigation is clicked.
My href's in that navigation are set up as :
Do I need something in my script so that the page won't jump? Or am I missing something in the HTML?
I am currently using this plugin [URL]..(HTML) to display a div with content, depending on what is entered.Is there a way to disable the submit button if the div contains a certain message?
I'm having some issues with my HTML/Javascript page. This is my code:
<script language="JavaScript"> function testaResultado (form) { var resposta = form.txtResposta.value; if (resposta.toUpperCase() == "GOOGLE") {
[Code]....
When I type "google" on txtResposta (text object) and click on btnOK button, the pagina.html page is showed, ok. But if I press the [ENTER] key instead of clicking on btnOK button, the page is reloaded and pagina.html is not showed.
I have a form, and i want two alternative submit links done as <a> links.Essentially, one will 'save changes' and remain on the same page, the other will 'save and preview' the final content.I've been playing for a while and can't seem to get it to workIf i just use one button and set the form action as normal all works fine.I'm told that i can set the form action within a javascript function and submit the form from there, but the problem is that clicking the link now just goes to the 'href' on the save button without submitting the form. (I believe the href is still required to make a working link).My code is as follows (ive simplified it to the essential components being used, theres also some php bits in the action being set) :
Code: <script type="text/javascript"> function docSave()
I'm adding a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online form to a webpage. It looks like pretty standard html and Javascript. The Microsoft website creates the code automatically and it provides the html code snippet. I provides a standard dull grey button. I'm simply trying to change the standard grey button to a nice looking orange image.
I have the form looking great...only problem is that it doesn't work. I tried it with the standard button and it works fine. When I try to substitute the image, CRM doesn't get the submitted form information. Here is the applicable part of the code:
My form isn't returning any results when submitting the form if the user hits the <spacebar> or the <enter> key on the keyboard when tabbed over the image submit button.
I have the following form, that allows the user to add text to a form field When they click on an image, this works fine, but I need to slightly change the text that is added to the form. Code:
I want to add something to my forum. Specifically, I want to add a HTML and Picture button for when you go to reply. Like posting an article here, there are also these options (font, alignment, insert image) I do not know how to achieve this but shouldnt be too hard.
I have a page HTML. In HTML have 1 button, when click into button that'll appear 1 window. In this window, it's show 1 image and after 5s it will change the other image. I can't do this.
I am trying to produce a web form to allow wedding guests to RSVP. The form allows them to enter a name and select from a radio button whether they will be attending or not. If they select the "yes" radio button then a further pair of radio buttons are displayed for their meal preference.
They can then click a submit button or they can click another button to add another line for another guest which operates in exactly the same way. I've almost got this working, but it seems that the checkbox change handler is lost for the current guest when a new guest is added and the checkbox value is reset. I've got a feeling I'm doing something stupid but can't for the life of me figure out what.
Code (source file (renamed to .txt) also attached as I'm not sure the pasted code is too clear):
I want to make an moving image. In time it should change to other image with other button. Also it could be changed by user. The change should be dynamic like moving from left to right.
I have a message system that I want to prevent double posting. So when a user sends a message i would like to disable the button. But its done using AJAX and will load without much time. But enough to cause double clicking. So now the button needs to be enabled once Text is put in the Form Field.
Im looking to basically have an image which is a button with a value, and when i click the image, it gets replaced by another image with a different value. when clicked again it would return to the original image and value..Is this possible? and if so, please help cos im terrible at javascript!
I use an image button to post a form. Let's say the button is on A.php and form target is B.php. when clicked, B.php comes but with extra arguments in the url. As far as I understand they are the coordinates of the point I clicked on the button image.
