Im looking to basically have an image which is a button with a value, and when i click the image, it gets replaced by another image with a different value. when clicked again it would return to the original image and value..Is this possible? and if so, please help cos im terrible at javascript!

The idea is that I have (say 750 * 400 px) images wrapped in links. The links point at the videofile. View 2 Replies View RelatedIm trying to have a click event that replaces an image on the page with a new image that has been selected randomly from an array. I have solved PART of this already (can get the random image to appear).
However, instead of appearing on the page where the old image was, the new image appears in a blank page.
My research indicates that this blank page location-problem is a result of using document.write in the Function. Therefore, I know I need to find a different way to accomplish this, but am failing miserably.
I have been trying for hours and hours and HOURS to figure out proper syntax for accomplishing this via elements, functions, variables and mootools.

I just started my javascript class two weeks ago and am having troubles already and my book is no help.
My first assignment is having a list of country names and when you click the radio button next to the name the country flag pops up in a designated area for the image. I have tried a few different things but nothing is working. I have the list of countrys and the radio buttons but when i click the radio button the image doesn't pop up. Also, when i click another radio button they all stay selected.
My problem is i do not know the syntax for changing the button image when on click meaning when i click on a imagefield button it will change to another imagefield button and when i click again it will change back.I know that we have to create a function something like this?I am not sure of the syntax but will learn from you expertX - what to put in here?

I want the content on the div 'text' to change every time a new picture loads on the image array. So the first picture would trigger 'THIS IS IMAGE 1' on the 'text' div, while the second image would display 'THIS IS IMAGE 2' and so on.

I need to load a different image after, lets say 10 seconds.
So image1.gif will be displayed when the page loads then after say 10 seconds image2.png will replace image1.gif.
Trying to click (onClick) an animated gif image of an on/off switch to start a second animation which is located on a different location on the web-page (a 7-frame animation of a generator with moving parts) immediately followed by a random image selection function placing an image in a 3rd location on the page (next to the generator image). The random images are supposed to look like the result of the generator animation---the item that �pops out� of the generator.
We thought the process to achieve this would be an �OnClick� on the on/off switch-animated-gif to start two javascript functions (generato animation function & random image function). To further complicate matters, we are doing this website in iWeb. We�re using iWeb SEO Tool to add the javascript to the header and HTML snippet in iWeb to place the HTML code. Not sure we�re actually doing the snippet right though---is it supposed to relate to the images---or is it separate? When the gifs are place on the iweb page, they work in the browser upon page load---the �on-click� & the random image function are NOT working...so we know we�ve done something(s) wrong.
We�re thinking that we�re probably missing some code that describes where the 3 different image-spots are on the page (image #1 is the on/off switch gif, image#2 is the generator gif, image#3 is the generator output.png)....or just aren�t coding the string of functions correctly---or maybe our strategy for achieving this is just no correct (?).Here is the code we have tried that didn�t work.

I am using ContentFlow from [URL] It is very well documented on their website. I got the whole thing working great on my site. What I don't know is how to change the ActiveItem onclick to just bump it over to the next image as if the next image had been clicked. As of right now it opens the image source in a self window. I don't want that. Can anyone give me a clue or maybe the whole answer on how to get it to click over to the next image? I believe the answer lies in the contentflow_src.js file.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make a point and click javascript game. Basically what I want is to have one image displayed on screen at the start (room1.jpg). When you click on a door on that image, I have an onclick event to change the image to a new one that shows the door open (room1_a.jpg). What I want is that when you click the now open door, to display the next room in the game. The only solution I can think of is some sort of nested onclick event using several image maps, but I am fairly new to Javascript and I am not sure if that is possible. What it all comes down to is I want to display each incarnation of each room in the game in the same window without having to reload a new window for each room. I hope that makes sense, if not I can try and clarify. Below is the code I have so far. And as you can see all that does is display the open door when you click on the image. I have not done any of the image mapping yet.

I'm trying to use javascript to load an image on a webpage when another image is clicked on, just like an image gallery and just like this except I don't need any text: [URL] I copied the example above but when I click on the smaller image to load the larger one it works for a fraction of a second (I can see the image load in the right spot), but then the browser goes to the URL of the image instead (showing it on a blank page).

I use an image button to post a form. Let's say the button is on A.php and form target is B.php. when clicked, B.php comes but with extra arguments in the url. As far as I understand they are the coordinates of the point I clicked on the button image.

1. the source url (it is unique for the document)
2. its position in the document. ie: it is the eleventh image in the document.
how would i go about swapping the image with another one? i would like this to work in ie5.5+ and ns6+.
I saw one page where image was loading. First, there was something like this image (in this text: first image): click. And then, when image (real) loaded, it replace first image.

For example, I have a main picture with some thumbnails below it. I would like to click on the thumbnail and it be enlarged on the main picture. View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make a generic function called whenever the window size changes. I want this function to apply to several different images. The idea is that when the window is resized the function will only change the end of the source code by replacing "_small", "_medium", "_large" with the appropriate size depending on the window. The problem is that when I use the code below it makes ALL of the images the same. The variable imageRightIdStr genereates a list of ids of all of the images that I would like this function to affect. ex: #imageRight101,#imageRight201,#imageRight202,#imageRight203,#imageRight301 etc.
Here is the code that I have now. It mostly works except it makes all of my "imageRight_" images the same.
