Jquery :: Loading A Phph Mysql Result Set Into A Div Via Load
Mar 6, 2009
I am loading a phph mysql result set into a div via jquery load. In ff, chrome, everything but ie7 it works fine. in ie7 it only returns one result when it should return many. This is the js im using:
I have been working on this issue for a couple of days. I have image names stored in my mysq. database. I need to somehow get those image names from the mysql database to a jquery array. Here is what I have so far.
I am not a javascript programmer, however are checking as I would like to investigate if I can do following:
I have a calculator that check the price for the properties for a choosen date, I use php and mysql to get the result and the result are displayed on the same page refreshing the page using this in the form: action="<?=$_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME']?>#formdestination">
I know you can print the result using ajax or other javascripts to do this without having to refresh the page and jump to the result.
Was doing a research and I quckly found this link:[URL]..It does not look so complicated, however as I can see the form is done in javascript so I suppose if you have javascript disabled you cant use the calculator.
I would like to have a non javascript solution with the way I am doing it to work if javascript is disabled. An exampel of the calculator can be viewed on this link for exampel:[URL]..
I have a form on a web page, with one field to enter a code, to search for a property. On clicking 'submit' I want to be able to run a script asynchronously in the background. The script will need to run a MYSQL statement which will have one of these results:
1. The property code does not exist, so display a Javascript Alert saying it does not exist.
2. The property is for sale, so call an existing javscript function 'saleSubmit(propertyCode)' to overwrite the exsiting web page with a new page sale.php for that property code
3. The property is for rent, so call an existing javscript function 'rentSubmit(propertyCode)' to overwrite the exsiting web page with a new page rent.php for that property code
My slills are in PHP and MySQL and I have no knowledge of tools like Ajax, jQuery and I am currently having problems getting my head around it. I have spent ages visiting lots of websites looking for examples on how to do this with little success.
I have a menu which loads the links into my "<div id="result_wrapper"></div>, which works fine.[code]But this newly loaded page requires some jQuery controls for a button that is in the content. where do put the jquery controls for that new button? do i put it in the index.php? or can i add a new <script></script> in the new "page" that was loaded in the div? and do i use the $(document).ready(function(){..etc..});?
I would like to know if it is possible to load form result in the same window after clicking the validation button. I know this method that load elements from the server on the current page after changing an input value. (Using methods: change() and load() )[URL] Is it possible to do same with forms, and which methods to use?
I have built a website using a)MySQL b)HTML c)PHP and d)Javascript. My website consists of basic html pages/templates which have links to the left and point to another templates/pages. For example, i have 4 templates in my site
Each template consists of 1. a small menu with links, every link points to another page 2.space for the content/text of the html page 3. a form for searching in the website using php and a mysql database. Well, i'm thinking of adding some animation in my website using the jquery library.Let's say we have an accordion which has 4 choices and when the user clicks on the first choice the 1st template(NEWS) appears inside the slide of accordion, loads in the same slide, not in a new page!!!This is what i would like to do, place in each slide of the accordion one of my templates. CAn this be done? Which are the disadvantages of adding in each slide of the accordion a different template for my site and remain in the same slide when the user clicks in one of the links of the template? Consider that i'm using dynamic content and not static, i have a MySQL database behind.
Also,as i have seen in most examples the options of accordion usually contain an image, a content, a text or links which open in a new window or tab not inside the slide!!!These links do not load in the same slide!!i would like to have a template which loads in the slide each time the user clicks on a link of it.
I have a form, in which i used to display the select box, at the time of loading the page.. based on the selection of this, i want to populate another select box by sending the query to the server...(this is by using ajax).
But, i want to check the time to display the second select box, and first selections was made.. The diff b/w these process will reach say 30 sec, it will show the message?
how to implement it... or is there any other way to do this?
I would like to load the result of an http call into a text-area. The job is quite easy with the iPhone SDK but I suspect it is not so on the web.My page is:and I would like to populate the text-area on the left with the result of the following url[URL]
If you scroll to the bottom, and click: "See what our users have to say" and you can see the sliders.
It's working in all browsers but Safari, the script just doesn't seem to be loading, I get the loading scroller bars but they don't fully load. What is the best way to debug JS - is that the right term?
I have been following a tutorial for an image gallery, i can upload images and use gd to create thumbnails that when clicked display the full sized image, but the full sized image is to big to fit in my design, i have managed to get the rel="lightbox" attached to the thumbnails as they are displayed but it wont load the full image, the loading ring just keeps going round, does anybody know how to fix this? is it even possible.
The prob is when the trigger is click, the whole page is replaced with the 'test.html' page, while I would like just the '#test' div from the second page to be loaded into the '#content' div on the start page.
I'm using this code for my website to load pages dynamically:
It works great. However, I'm using a script for tooltips as well - when I load a page that has links/abbr's that need tooltips, the JavaScript doesn't run on them. My solution to this was to add a <script> in the #content of each page that needed tooltips, except that doesn't work either.
I am working with a php in a facebook application and if I wait to load all the site take long time so my idea is to set a 'loading page..', in the mean time the php will continue working and will paste the result into a div then with jQuery I will show that div.
Is it possible to "Only" display a loading message and hide all page's elements and graphics until the page is fully loaded. then loading message disappear and the content fades in!?[code]...
Why after several times click on buttons, is hang website? i use of function .load() for loading content(html). i use of firebug for solution this problem but did not succeed.
I have a new and seemingly huge new project to work onWe have a database that our database administrator is willing to run a script on nightly. The result of this action will be a CVS file containing information that is specific to my departments needs. At first, I need to present visitors to my site with a way to pear the data down to a more manageable sizePrior to displaying the CSV file contents, I thought I would display a set of column headers with checkboxes. Using the checkboxes, I'd like to give visitors to my site the ability to decide which columns of data they want to hide or display.
After they've made their selections and pressed an "OK" button, I'd like to display the remaining contents of the CSV file as a table in a seperate windowThe next part is very Excel like..At the top of each column, I'd like to include a series of drop down menus that visitors to my site can use to filter the list further. In my case, I don necessarily know every possible value for any given column. For example, imagine that one column contains city, another state and the third contains zip code. I could assume all 50 states in the union, however the actual data might also include Puerto Rico and the US Virgin islands. Or I might assume every zipcode in the US, however the actual data might include zip codes for Canada, etc... For this reason, I would like to populate the drop down menus dynamically.
I'm loading a list of elements into mydiv with ajax, I want them to be selectable so I call the UI plugin selectable after the list has loaded.
The list building function produces this:
<div id='mydiv'> <ul id='mylist'> .... </ul>
[Code].....
The problem is, every time I click the link to reload the list via ajax, I get a duplicate selectable event handler created. Should I be removing the old event handlers before reloading the div ? if so, how?
Everything works, as in selectable still works, and only seems to fire once but I get ever growing memory usage in firefox and an ever growing list of event handlers in the firebug script tab. Eventually firefox starts to crawl and I have to restart the browser.
I've gotten .load to load content into a div but if the window is not at the top of the page it scrolls back to the top each time the new content is loaded but I wanted to avoid any sort of change on the page other than the content in the div. It seems pointless if the user has to scroll back down to the div where the content is each time? code...
Is there a way to keep the window in the same position? Also while I'm at it - is there a more efficient way to write this considering I have 9 pages or should I just write this code out for each instance?
