JQuery :: Loading New Result That Requires Own Events
Jun 1, 2010
I have a menu which loads the links into my "<div id="result_wrapper"></div>, which works fine.[code]But this newly loaded page requires some jQuery controls for a button that is in the content. where do put the jquery controls for that new button? do i put it in the index.php? or can i add a new <script></script> in the new "page" that was loaded in the div? and do i use the $(document).ready(function(){..etc..});?
I am loading a phph mysql result set into a div via jquery load. In ff, chrome, everything but ie7 it works fine. in ie7 it only returns one result when it should return many. This is the js im using:
I am loading a page with several jquery events on one of the divs. Depending on interaction with the user, the div triggering the jquery events could be reloaded from an ajax call. But as it stands now, new content that is added to the dom is not triggering the code in the original $(document).ready() supplied in the head. If I want the page to set up those events again, I have to reimport the js file containing my jquery events (this causes to copies to exist in the dom. Is there a way to force the existing jquery scripts to rebuild its event stack based on the new dom content? I was thinking something like: $(document).rebindDom()
I have a form, in which i used to display the select box, at the time of loading the page.. based on the selection of this, i want to populate another select box by sending the query to the server...(this is by using ajax).
But, i want to check the time to display the second select box, and first selections was made.. The diff b/w these process will reach say 30 sec, it will show the message?
how to implement it... or is there any other way to do this?
I would like to load the result of an http call into a text-area. The job is quite easy with the iPhone SDK but I suspect it is not so on the web.My page is:and I would like to populate the text-area on the left with the result of the following url[URL]
I have a piece of javasacript code that searches through several iframes for buttons with specifi id's. When I find the button, I bind a click event to that button. This works perfectly fine in IE, but only works in Firefox if I alert something. After I click on the alert button ok, the click events are assigned correctly and the buttons work fine. See my code below for achieving this:
$.each(iframe, function(index, ifrm) { // Add target="_blank" to text hyper links var hyper = null, hyperCount = 0;
I have a application that uses jquery-1.6.4.jsandjquery-ui-1.8.14.custom.min.js. A call is made by a js file that works if I break on the call and single step using firebug but when run w/o the single step the call to the php in the server never seems to occure. IE doesn't seem to have this problem
I am trying to "ajaxify" my site. Now I have one problem:
$("#posts").children().remove(); $("#tag-sidebar").children().remove(); $.each(data.Tags_Sidebar, function (indexInArray, valueOfElement) { var insert = $("<li>");
[Code]......
Now when I click one of those links (href1, href2, href3) generated, the click event won't execute! What's the problem? Also, is it right that I have to transfer the valueOfElement over, like I did? What does stopEventPropagation do? Prevent the href from being navigated to? That's what I am trying to do.
Okay, I've been searching through here for a day, but haven't quite found what I need. I'm rebuilding my client's site to update the code and get it off of Yahoo's CMS.My rebuilt siteis nearly complete, except the navigation. I want to keep the function that each menu requires a click to open, not just a hover. Unfortunately, the rebuilt site's menu doesn't function and it'll require absolute links to work in the various root and sub folders.This is one suggestion I found in the archives here, expand5.htm, but it doesn't quite look like what I need.I have other sites that are for persons with disabilities that this could be useful for, so I need to be able to reproduce the results.
I've got this code that allows me to create an image rollover and link that image to a website. However, I'd like to be able to have the website that it links to open in a new window/tab. how I could tweak this code to accomodate that?
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> <!-- Begin loadImage1 = new Image(); loadImage1.src="http://my_button_image_rollover.jpg";
I'm testing a page with a .js hide/show <div> overlay to hide/show a video player. The image of the video screen in the center of the page, when clicked, opens a hidden <div> overlay. It works but it requires the viewer to double click the first time. What needs to change to make it "show" the <div> on the first click? Once the video <div> is displayed, then it works every time with just one click to hide or show. It's just the first time that requires two clicks to get it to work. Here is the page: [URL]
Here is the code used to implement the hide show, in the <head>:
Code: <!-- Elements Needed for Video Player Popup --> <!-- The javascript hide/show --> <script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"> <!-- function HideContent(d) { document.getElementById(d).style.display = "none"; } function ShowContent(d) { document.getElementById(d).style.display = "block"; } function ReverseDisplay(d) { if(document.getElementById(d).style.display == "none") { document.getElementById(d).style.display = "block"; } else { document.getElementById(d).style.display = "none"; } } //--> </script> a And on the image, which acts as the button: Code: <a href="javascript:ReverseDisplay('mediaspace2')"> <img src="images/vid_button_image.jpg" width="376" height="282" border="0" /></a>
Here is what I'm trying to do but the problem is "source.html" is not on a server somewhere. I am running everything locally. $('#container').load(source.html #sourceContent) Is there a way to do this exact thing but with a local file?
Is it possible to set an html element's (created through HTML DOM's createElement() method) 'onclick' attribute's value to a Javascript function which requires a parameter, passing a variable to it at the same time?
I have the following Javascript code:
var parentDiv = document.getElementById("subscribers"); var stubSpan = document.createElement("span"); stubSpan.id = "opentok_subscriber_" + stream.streamId; stubSpan.onclick = showStreamInFullScreenMode(stream); parentDiv.appendChild(stubSpan);
'stream' in the bolded line is a parameter variable of the function that the above code is in, and I'm trying to pass it to another function using an onclick event.
I am currently building a site which requires the header to slide between pages, onclicking the menu items, for example your on homepage and you click the next or any menu item, when the page loads the header image slides from the home image to the next page image, and vice-versa when you click back it does the opposite. I have tried to code it myself below, i have the slide working. But my problem comes in when i try and switch pages, i've tried adding the javascript fade function in this page to body onload of seperate pages but i cannot seem to get the effect i want.
I'm about to pull my hair out dealing with this pixel.This is the information CJ has given me. The OID (order ID) is a unique alphanumeric ID that needs to be generated on your end, and will be assigned to each unique transaction that occurs. If the OID is not unique, meaning if our system detects a duplicate OID for another transaction, the second transaction will be ignored, which is why it is important that unique OIDs are generated for each transaction (in your case, for each lead form that is completed and submitted) and
What I would suggest doing for your OID, is hardcoding a time and date stamp into the pixel to act as the OID. When you do this, you must exclude any symbols (colons, slashes, periods, etc) from the time/date stamp, and have the time be recorded all the way down to the millisecond. Since it will be extremely rare (if it happens at all) that two transactions will occur within the same millisecond, it will create a unique number to act as the OID for each lead that is submitted.
I have a series of images with an animation bound to mouseover and mouseleave events, and I'm trying to get my head around adding a click event that would prevent the mouseleave animation from occurring only for the image that was clicked, preserving everything else as is (until another image is clicked). I've discovered .stop() and I think I'm getting close, but some part of the logic is still escaping me.
I have a site that is very jQuery and image heavy. The main sections of the site link to sections that are built with several Tabs, and as it loads, you briefly see all the content load and then it is hidden by the Tabs code.
The plan is to have a full window DIV that sits above all the content with a loading icon that plays until the entire page loads, and then it fades down.
After some hair pulling and research I have code in place that does exactly as I ask, however it does not seem to work in IE6+7. It works in all other browsers.
I've got 2 pages: a current events page and a past events page the current events page loads fine as there is only about 10 events the past events page takes about 30 seconds to load and will crash if u click your mouse in the loading time.
The pages are near identical the only difference is the query that selects the events (> versus <)
The page loads immediately without:
But when i put it back in the above happens. I'm using jQuery.roundedcorners.
I have this loading.gif image that is 750px, when it should be 32px. The reason it's huge now is because my original solution was displaying two images: one 750px version of the loading.gif image and one 32px version (in the center of the 750px) of the same image. Now I'm at least down to one image, even if it's the wrong version.Click any of the thumbnail images here, and then again on the thumbnail at the top of that popup product gallery to see what I mean: need that huge loading.gif to be 32px like it should be, and then expand to 750px once the image is loaded. I've tried a bunch of solutions, but nothing has solved the problem.This is the code I have at the moment, although I'm working on the issue now so it may change.
$('#inline .thumbGrid img').click(function(){ var strLargeImg = document.getElementById('OBOEsac'); $('.galleryPopup').attr('src','/site/scripts/colorbox/images/loading.gif');
I have this hosting application on my website and people just seem oblivious to the fact that right next to the password input it says: "requires one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number"
I've tried to take the time before to locate a script, but I've never found a good enough tutorial.
I have this code to get results based in search query.
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('#envio').click(function(){ var iURL = "http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/images";
[Code]....
This return a Object as you can see in images exposed at this URL: [URL]. My question is how I can get unescapedUrl value for each result? The $.each in the code before doesn't work as you can see in images too.
I have only started to learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript (roughly 2 weeks now). I am having a issues regarding when I submit form data to the server. I want to temporarily disable the 'submit' button while the browser is loading and then reactivate it once everything has finished loading. This was my attempt at doing this.
Im trying to add some simple display features to a web application and am running into some unexpected IE8 behavior. Basically, the app runs some database retrieval from the server using Ajax techniques, and during that time (say, 30 seconds), I want to just give the user a clue as to whats going on. It could be as simple as a wait cursor. More interesting, I prefer to unhide a div with an animated loading icon, then hide it again when loading is complete.
