JQuery :: Get Some Values From Result?

Sep 12, 2011

I have this code to get results based in search query.

<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#envio').click(function(){
var iURL = "http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/images";

[Code]....

This return a Object as you can see in images exposed at this URL: [URL]. My question is how I can get unescapedUrl value for each result? The $.each in the code before doesn't work as you can see in images too.

JQuery :: Datepicker With Range - Send Values To Php Script And Display The Result?

Jun 6, 2011

I have a date picker with a textbox input for 'from' and 'to' the page loads with default values which display in the textboxes.What I want to do is: when the page loads, these values are sent to my SQL server, the server checks for entries that are within the range, then reports back on the page the results.Subsequent changes to either from or to dates should result in a similar call to the server for validation. no submit button, just change date = changed output.I figure the best way to do this is with AJAX. So I have a date picker, but how do I send the results to a PHP file to do what it will with them? And once the php file is done with them, how do I put the results back on my HTML page?Now for some code:

In <head>
<!------------------------------------->
<!-- DATEPICKER CONFIGURATION -->[code]....

So that's all the code that makes my Range Select date picker. My question is very similar to http:[url]....with-ajax-and-jquery-datepicker except that I probably lack even more knowledge than that OP - I need a step-by-step baby solution to how this all works.Where in my code does the $.ajax() function go? How do I handle two dates, not just one? How do I get the output on screen? Finally, in my PHP script, would this at least provide me output?

<?php
$from_date = $_GET['from_date'];
$to_date = = $_GET['to_date'];[code]...

JQuery :: Checking Multiple Input Values Against Various Other Hidden Minimum Values

Jul 19, 2011

I have a list of products where they have minimum quantities in a hidden input. Some products have multiple colours, though the same minimum quantity and I'm trying to implement a jQuery check that entries made are at least equal to the minimum.

Blank or '0' entries are fine but if it's below the minimum quantity it should set to the minimum.

HTML:

Is there something obviously wrong with this? It isn't performing the minimum check and I'm really not sure why.

JQuery :: Return The LAST Result From Keyup() Only?

Aug 19, 2011

I have an input textbox that I am using to create (and populate) paragraph tags below it depending on the content that is in the textbox at that very specific time. There is an add button to the right of the textbox that adds the contents and clears it for another entry.

The reason I need keyup for this is because I need to get the value of the textbox on the fly. With the example I've enclosed, it seems to output every key event since page load, and I don't want that. I want the result from the last keypress, which I will then add and start again.

JQuery :: Two Plug Ins On One Page Bad Result?

Dec 27, 2011

I'm far from a JQ guru but I built a page using two plug ins (slides and pagination) If I run just the pagination plug in ( for the images thumbnails ) and the slides plug in ( WITHOUT) the function code both seem to work OK. But I need the slide function code for the slides plug in to rotate the images as well and when I do this I get a grey area displaying the image numbers in between the div containing the slide and the footer, rendering the thumbnails not to work as well as the footer pop up menu does not function either see links below

http:[url]....

slides - images display fine / thumbnails work ( no function for rotating slides )
viewport / footer - working
http://dagwaremedia.com/ScotchSodaFiles/index.htm
slides - images display fine / rotating images work ( with function for rotating slides )
thumbnails DO NOT WORK
viewport - DOES NOT WORK.

why all of these plug ins do not work all together on this page?

JQuery :: TypeError: Result Is Not A Function

This is while doing var $kuj = noConflict(); earlier, and here is my page .js.

$kuj(document).ready(function() {

I've tested via js console that the $kuj("select[multiple]") statement is indeed returning an object.

JQuery :: Access Elements From The Result Of A $.get Request?

Aug 5, 2011

I am currently working on an website which consists of 2 sites. Both have the same design (expect for the colors) and both sites have different navigation items (some are the same). I started the page in PHP with classes. Every site is a Site class which has an array of Content classes.Site->showNavi($section); prints out the navigation of the current site, with a navigation item for each Content class in the array. The active ($section) item is highlighted.Site->showContent($section,$subsection); prints out the content.

First i just wanted to use AJAX for the content section but then I realised that I could use it also on getting thenavigation and the content without reloading the page. So i searched the web and decided to use jQuery.

I started with the change site/design links and with the help of an tutorial i quickly managed to get these links work with following code:

$("#site_navi a").click(function(){ var site = $(this).attr('rel');
var cssfile = "/css/"+ site +".css";
var headerimg = "/img/"+ site +"/logo.png";
$("#site_css").attr("href",cssfile);

[Code]....

But it didn't work and after some testing i realised that i can't access the elements (e.g. a.navigationitem) which Igot from the request from "ajax_get_navi.php", because if i write down the navigation in the html code it works.

So, is there a way to get access to these elements? If not what do i have to change in the ajax_get_navi request to get access?

JQuery :: The Result Of OffsetParent() When Position Is Fixed

Jan 20, 2010

I noticed something odd yesterday—or at least something I didn't expect. When I call offsetParent() on an element with position: fixed, I get back a reference to the body tag rather than the nearest positioned element in the DOM. Is this expected behavior? If so, why?

I am including some sample code that will illustrate what I'm talking about: a relatively positioned div with one absolutely positioned and one fixed positioned child. Load the example in a browser that supports window.console and you'll see log statements showing the result of a call to offsetParent() for each. I would expect both the absolute and fixed position divs to return the relatively positioned one as their offset parents, but offsetParent says the fixed position div's offset parent is the body element.

I saw this behavior with both jquery 1.3.2 and 1.4, and in Safari4.0.4 (6531.21.10) and Firefox 3.5.7 on a Mac running OS X 10.6.2.

JQuery :: Ajax Result Is Returned In The Wrong Sequence?

Jun 15, 2011

I have a text-box. On the event of `OnKeyup` a function is triggered that looks like this:

$.getJSON(url,function(data){
$.each(data, function(key, value) {
showSearchResult(value);
});
});

No my problem is that when you type really fast then the return search result does not always return relevant to the current value of the textbox.

[I did think of adding a very small time-interval on the onkeyup event but i thought there might be a cleverer way of doing it ]

This problem is because the Ajax calls do not sometimes return in the same sequence that they were fired.
