It's working in all browsers but Safari, the script just doesn't seem to be loading, I get the loading scroller bars but they don't fully load. What is the best way to debug JS - is that the right term?
I'm having a small problem with JS drop down menu. The problem occurs only in IE6 and IE7 (surprisingly in IE8 everything works fine). The problem isn't big though. when you put pointer over drop down in IE, the drop down part loads 2/3 of drop down and in a moment loads other part. It's nothing big but is noticeable. I have an iframe and I want to display a loading animation to the user until the iframe is fully loaded, this is want I did:
1. I start the iframe with style:display:none
2. I have a div that wraps the iframe
3. When the iframe is fully loaded a method is called from the iframe 'removeDivs', I change the div to be invisble with style:display:none and I set the iframe to be visible with stle:display:""
4. The problem: Because the div wraps the iframe, after changing the style of the iframe its stay invisible, the property I set doesn't affect.

It works fine in all browsers except ie(6,7,8) Internet Explorer can not open website. Operation Aborted. I understand it is caused by the jquery autocomplete function loading before the page / DOM has fully loaded. I tried adding Defer="true" to the script however this doesn't seem to work.

Im trying to add some simple display features to a web application and am running into some unexpected IE8 behavior. Basically, the app runs some database retrieval from the server using Ajax techniques, and during that time (say, 30 seconds), I want to just give the user a clue as to whats going on. It could be as simple as a wait cursor. More interesting, I prefer to unhide a div with an animated loading icon, then hide it again when loading is complete.

I have a site that is very jQuery and image heavy. The main sections of the site link to sections that are built with several Tabs, and as it loads, you briefly see all the content load and then it is hidden by the Tabs code.
The plan is to have a full window DIV that sits above all the content with a loading icon that plays until the entire page loads, and then it fades down.
After some hair pulling and research I have code in place that does exactly as I ask, however it does not seem to work in IE6+7. It works in all other browsers.

I have a lot of javascript functions that request information from an iframe hidden on the page. I see other sites do this, but their browser does not do the loading action (like the processing circle in Firefox). When I do it on my site, each browser shows the loading icon, as if a page was loading. Is it possible to not have this?

I have this loading.gif image that is 750px, when it should be 32px. The reason it's huge now is because my original solution was displaying two images: one 750px version of the loading.gif image and one 32px version (in the center of the 750px) of the same image. Now I'm at least down to one image, even if it's the wrong version.Click any of the thumbnail images here, and then again on the thumbnail at the top of that popup product gallery to see what I mean: need that huge loading.gif to be 32px like it should be, and then expand to 750px once the image is loaded. The prob is when the trigger is click, the whole page is replaced with the 'test.html' page, while I would like just the '#test' div from the second page to be loaded into the '#content' div on the start page.

I have an image gallery here on the top left. It works by the user clicking a thumbnail and displaying the larger thumbnail above it. Currently, all of the images are preloaded, including the large image above the thumbnails which takes up unnecessary loading time.
How can I make it so for example, AFTER the user clicks on a thumbnail, THEN the bigger thumbnail loads. NOT BEFORE the whole page loads.

It works great. However, I'm using a script for tooltips as well - when I load a page that has links/abbr's that need tooltips, the JavaScript doesn't run on them. My solution to this was to add a <script> in the #content of each page that needed tooltips, except that doesn't work either.

I've tried without the slideup/down but it still has this delay.

It's for a photo gallery like this http:[url].....php but the one I need it for has 100 images so the page loads much slower. I can't just put the loading gif behind the images (as you would normaly) because you can see it with each image fade in and out. how I can have a loading gif show "only" while the images are initially loading, and then it goes away?

Having that, I noticed that loading the response from php file (which does not have a php code, only the file has .php on its name) is slower than the same file content with .html name. I wonder if this is a common problem or there is some issue with my codes. I will post my code if needed (if that seems to be the problem).Note: I mentioned that there is no php code in the php file because I am only testing the performance currently. After it is developed, there will be (obviously) php code in it.
