I'm sure my problem is a syntax error of some kind but I was wondering if anyone can help me discover why I am unable to get the content to load in order, one after the other.[code]
I am using the following code to rotate my banner 3 times. I am trying to get it to order. Ive set it up so that you can choose yes/no drop down as to whether you wnat a panel to show and I have also set it up with a drop down so you can specify 1,2,3. I want to be able to randomly change the order to say 2, 1, 3 it dosent seem to work with what I have below.

I am trying to modify a jQuery login effect someone wrote for me who is no longer available. I am just starting to learn JS and jQuery so would really appreciate some help if anyone has a couple of minutes. If you click the close button a login button will appear. The effect is working how I want it to but I need the button to load first instead of the form.
I'm trying to load an xml file with jQuery but it doesn't seem to work. This is my code, I made it very simple for testing, but it doesn't work. var test = "./test.xml"; $.get( test, function(data) { $('#textarea').text(data); }); I just don't know how to get the data of an xml file, does the $.get method not work with xml? When I try it with an .html file it works.

Dynamically loaded content (via JQuery's get method, for instance) seems unable to connect to a stylesheet that resides on the main page. I understand this is due to the fact that the dynamic content is not part of the DOM.
I am using jcookie to store certain information (user cart) and the idea is to re display the contents of the cart when the user visits the website at some other point in future.
So if user adds the item to his cart and i) closes the browser and opens a new browser window after some time OR ii) opens a new tab : In both cases should see the item added to the cart
I am using jcookie.js library.The code I am using to create cookie and add cart contents to it is:
function checkCookies(){ var rented_car_timings_cookie = $.cookie("rented_car_timings"); var $rentTimingsContainer = $('<div class="module">' + rented_car_timings_cookie + '</div>');
[Code].....
Now the problem I am seeing is that the cookies work if I refresh the same page or open a new tab in the same Browser window: I am able to see content added to cart. however, If I open a new window , then I do not see the same .
In firefox, this script works just fine. But in safari, it doesn't do anything and I can't figure out why.The intention of this code is to just create a draggable item.
I have been using interstitial boxes for quite a while and have never had a problem. I was required to create an interstitial box this week. When the home page is display in Firefox and Safari, the interstitial box displays right away as it is supposed to do; however, it will not display in Internet Explorer 7 unless you refresh the screen.

I have a page with links that use jQuery to load individual pages of content into a main content area. On one of these pages, I want to be able to link to a specific anchor. (ie, when you click the link named "exec" on the main page, it loads the "services" page and then scrolls to the "exec" div.

Everything works beautifully in FF and Opera but in IE, I get an error message saying "top is null or not an object". It's referencing the line where "target_offset.top" is called, but this is legitimate syntax, so I don't understand the problem.

The main page of the site has this script which determines the language settings of the OS. This works fine for IE but not for firefox. Is there any other codes which i have to insert to make sure Firefox would be able to load it?
<script type="text/javascript"> function detectlang() { var lang=navigator.userLanguage var langs=navigator.systemLanguage var langb=navigator.browserLanguage if ((langs=="ar-sa"||lang=="ar-sa"||langb=="ar-sa")) {window.location.reload("http://www.flynas.com/ara/index.html")} else {window.location.reload("http://www.flynas.com/eng/index.html")} } </script>
I am using the load() method to load navigation sections of hidden copy, which I will later grab and display. After the hidden copy loads, I am grabbing selected divs, and bringing them into an area where the copy will be displayed. My problem is that after I load the new copy, replacing the old copy, and I go to retrieve it, it gives me the old copy still (eventhough firebug shows me that the load() actually did bring in and replace the copy...so it's grabbing and displaying copy not even in the file anymore!) Why is this happening? the code is below.link to example: http:[url]....
$(document).ready(function() { $('#showcase_holder ul li:first').addClass("in_view"); $('#project_navigation ul li a').click(function(){[code].....
I load content to div using ajax. In that new loaded content are anchors which make another ajax requests, but they don't work. I suppose that it's caused by $(document).ready();
For example:
Anchor with class '.dokosika' in loaded content doesn't work as I want to...
