how can i use .load() or .get() to load external content into div?
i have code below but doesnt work? i dont know what is the problem.

My function loads content from an external page (field.details.preview.aspx) and loads it into a div named container. I would like to load this external content into a popup page instead. I'm not sure how to tackle this. [code]..

Step1: Ajax content along with js loaded into update_div from a.html

What happens to the js loaded from a.html? Is it lurking in the memory or automatically/magically removed from the browser memory? I am afraid of memory leaks, if the js is still lurking in memory, the more ajax calls made, the more js is going to be held up in memory. Unless am totally wrong; i have no idea of the mechanism happening.

I'm using a function to load a page into a div. When I add the class of the element I want to show (.contentpaneopen) Chrome and Safari show no content. It works OK in IE and FF.When I ommit the class it works on all browsers.

I have a question about load(). I created a php script that simply returns <img src="something.jpg" class="myimage">
To test I created this code, the image loads fine and the mouseover works fine showing the alert dialog :
However, my trouble seems to be that if I bind mouseover to the class "myimage" nothing happens, like so :
Seems that the document would load the html first then the mouseover bound to the class (myimage) would fire off.

I have a bunch of <div>'s on a page, each of which shares a CSS class titled "portlet-header". What I would like to do is retrieve the content inside each of these div's, and then construct a string of each div content separated by a comma. At the moment I can retrieve the total content from ALL of the div's sharing the "portlet-header" class by using:
$(".portlet-header").text()
However, I was hoping that there would be a way of looping through each div of the shared CSS class in turn, constructing a string of the following format:
div content 1
,div content 2
,div content 3
etc...
I had a look at the .each method but couldn't get anything working.
I have a listing of items on the page and each one has a <div> with a description in it. There are two versions of each description, one short and one full length. I like the user to be able to swap between them by clicking the 'more' and 'close' links. The problem with what I wrote is that it applies to all the divs on the page instead of the specific one that was clicked. What can I change to correct it?

Ideally I'd like to use a list to display 10 items at a time, and when any more than 10 items are inserted you would get numbered tabs with which the user could interact with as in the example above...
Is this even possible? It doesn't have to be a list of items if this complicates things...

View 9 Replies View RelatedIve been using a javascript tooltip script in its extended configuration which allows you to convert a html element to a tooltip i found it here Ive have the tooltip setup on this page pre-pay-as-you-go.co.uk/vodafone-mobile-phones.html , if you move the mouse over the details link below each handset the tooltip pops up, these tooltips are coded into the page.If you go to the home page you will see the first three handsets are the same as the ones on the first page i showed you but without the tooltip included, this is due to page size constraints, is there a way of fetching or whatever it�s called the tooltip content from the first page to display on the home page?

Done with the soundcloud api.But when i use $.getJSON and dynamicly get down a list of urls that i try to insert with:[code]*side-note(it's the same result with $('#addbtn').click, just wanted to try live as i hoped it would update the elements upon being added. But did not work out.)The url gets inserted into sc-player class div, but the rest never gets transformed into the custom-player with the sc-player.js script.It just remains an ordinary a href. It is as if the sc-player.js never is being "loaded" which i can understand why it won't. Question is how do i get it to successfully transform my urls that are being dynamicly added with javascript into the custom-player instead of just the url to the song?

After the hidden copy loads, I am grabbing selected divs, and bringing them into an area where the copy will be displayed. My problem is that after I load the new copy, replacing the old copy, and I go to retrieve it, it gives me the old copy still (eventhough firebug shows me that the load() actually did bring in and replace the copy...so it's grabbing and displaying copy not even in the file anymore!) I load content to div using ajax. In that new loaded content are anchors which make another ajax requests, but they don't work. I suppose that it's caused by $(document).ready();
For example:
Anchor with class '.dokosika' in loaded content doesn't work as I want to...
