JQuery :: Point And Click Style Walkthrough And Interactivty Using Static Images?

I understand that the very essence of the web is point and click however what I'm trying to achieve is anavigationsystem using a series of static 3D Render images have them seamlessly stitch together creating apseudowalk througheffect. For example if a user clicks on a hot spot e.g. a drawer it will fetch the same image but with the drawer open. or if a user wishes to go 'deeper into the scene e.g. a walk-through style effect then they would click on the hotspot and the image presently loaded would zoom out and and fade out loading the next thus giving you forward motion
mentally speakingIunderstand this to be perfectly simple to do technically speaking not so much this at the moment is acompletelyconceptual idea with no coding as I'm still attempting to get my bearings with jquery i was curious to what peoples thoughts were on the idea whether or not it is possible to do?

I need a java bookmarklet that does a real simple thing. I need to take the current URL (ie, where the user is when they click the bookmarklet) and append it to a static URL and return the text on the resulting page.For example:
The user is at http:[url]....
The user clicks the bookmarklet.
the bookmarklet takes http:[url].... and appends it to http:[url]... HERE where you see the URL HERE text.That PHP script echos a simple line of text (a shortened URL actually).Then I want that result from the outside_create.php file to be displayed in a window back to the user.Is this even possible? Basically I need to know how to append location.href to a static URL and how to get the resulting content from the static URL..
How to find the nearest coordinates click point on images? For example, if the user click on point on coordinates(10,20) ; then after that if the user wan find the nearest coordinates of (10,20). Let say the nearest coordinates is between (9,19), (11,21).
How find that point? If i wan fixed to 20x20 pixel for the click point, how to do?
When you click a link it jumps to an anchor point on the page and scrolls there smoothly. I was wondering how I get the same effect if I want the link to jump to another page? I prefer jQuery over flash and not sure how to tackle this, so please advise as best you can. Trying to create a site that allows for images to go full browser and then have the ability to have the other images slide in based on a click.
I also want to float a menu that will allow it to pull in other media (video, that would slide in the same way). The best example I can share is this: http://j.mp/5U79i1 What he is using is flash based (slideshowpro director and slideshow pro for flash). Not interested in flash for this personal project.
Is it possible to do an 'on click' event that changes a css selector, then an 'off click' that switches it back? I am working on a touch screen app and need to replicate a css hover state.
Should I disable the right click option or not? I have a gallery site, I don't want people to be able to copy the images with the default right click over an image. From a professional looking site point of view I suppose I would be messing with the functionality a bit too much, OR is it OK in this instance to disable the click. I know how to write the code to disable the click, but what I was thinking was maybe it would be better to leave the right click but change the menu options? working on a feature that displays 3 news stories. The stories are accessed by 3 buttons on the top, sort of like a tab-style navigation. The catch is that all 3 stories are on the same html page, the "navigation" is just showing/hiding content based on Java, CSS & div's. Where I'm stuck is creating On/Off state for the tab buttons. What I'd like to do is:
Naturally I have separate version of each button for the on/off state, I'm just not sure how to initiate the swap...Do I set a JS variable on the onclick? Or is it just a function?
I want to create a gallery of images with a fancybox-esque style but incorporate the "folder functionality" that this site has: [URL] In other words: When I click on an image I want it to expand to "fullscreen". (This I can manage with fancybox.) What I can't work out how to do is display more images from the same photo-session at the bottom of the fullscreen.

I want to swap the source of two images when you click on one image. Basically, I am switching on/off states. But I can't even get the first part to work. Here is a function that I would think replace the word "off" in the image file name with "on" when you click on an image with the class .img-swap. After that I would imagine I would toggle the class of each somehow.
I would like to show users 10 images (DIVs) on which they can click. Images will be numbers (0-9) and they have to click on correct sequence (example 4 6 3 2 2 7) and then click "submit" button. If they don't get correct sequence they get shown some message about wrong numbers, but if they get it wight they should get some message of success. I am searching for some similar jquery or ajax scripts and can't find anything. I've run into a problem with swapping images for site navigation.The "hover" part works just fine, but the problem lies within the click part. When the user clicks the first thing that happens is to reset all of the images for all of the links, and then set the hover image for the link that was clicked. However it seems that after resetting all of the images 'src' attributes, the code for setting the link that was clicked either doesn't execute, or executes before the reset.
I have 4 images and these images are changing automatically with duration of 2 seconds with show hide animation.and there are 4 bullets with mentioned above 4 images. these bullets are highlighting for example if image number 1 is showing than bullet number 1 is highlighting. same thing for other 3 bullets and images.

My understanding had been that $.css("width") would return the original user selected style, eg "100%" or "10em", and $.width() returned the computed width, always in "px". Not so, following the code through for .css(), it calls something called getComputedStyle and the only difference between the two functions turns out to be a post-fix of "px" on the .css() result - not very useful. I need to know whether my user has called me with a proportional dimension, or a fixed one. How to tell with jQuery?
Currently I was able to load remote JSON (php) file using JSONP protocol. However, how to do if my remote file is static? In the doc, it said: you can load JSON data located on another domain if you specify a JSONP callback, which can be done like so: "myurl?callback=?". But since my remote file is a static text file, how can I specify the callback in the output dynamically? In fact, I also wonder if it is possible to control the random callback name by modifying jquery source code...
What I'm trying to do is create a static nav at the top of the page and when the user clicks a link, they are not brought to a new page but the page slides vertically upwards to the new page. I found this link which kind of helps but need helptrying to make sense of it all.
I would like to create a table using static data. This is not a updatable data table, or anything fancy. I am must wanting to replace a table crated with <table> tags with some sort of DHTML div tags so that I can do more with the table.

but it didn't quite work. It loads the entire web page into the defined class name rather than loading a specific content (Look below for further understanding)The filename.html which has content tag names like "[Copyright Year] that goes in the footer position of the site gets dynamically generated.I've created another static page help.html that has pretty much the same content overall except the dynamic content won't get loaded with the content tag (the system doesn't allow static pages to load them). This is what brought me to this solution. So now that I've added a class name to the indicated class that I want to load it pulls all the content and styling of the site rather than just the dynamically generated content of (filename.html) .

This is probably quite a simple problem but I can't figure out the answer. I'm working on a site that has news stories and events coming in. What I would like is to have the news stories to be styled with squares and events with discs for instance. I might be able to change the actual plug-in so the CSS affects this change, but I just wondered how I could change the list-style-type with jQuery.
