How to find the nearest coordinates click point on images? For example, if the user click on point on coordinates(10,20) ; then after that if the user wan find the nearest coordinates of (10,20). Let say the nearest coordinates is between (9,19), (11,21).
How find that point? If i wan fixed to 20x20 pixel for the click point, how to do?
When you click a link it jumps to an anchor point on the page and scrolls there smoothly. I was wondering how I get the same effect if I want the link to jump to another page? A normal anchor point on another page would set the href to, for instance, 'index.html#contact' but it won't work in this case as the javascript isn't reading the '#'.

I have a text box, to which an onchange event is associated. We show suggestions to the user just below the text box (Google suggest style) based on what he types. The suggestions are shown in a table under a div (which will be hidden when page loads).When the suggestions are more than 10, a scroll bar is shown. The issue now is the following:1. User enters a character in the text box (value changed in the box)2. The suggestions are shown (more than 10, so scroll bar comes up)3. User clicks on the scroll bar to scroll down.This triggers the onchange event of the text box. This happens only in IE7+. Same works fine in Firefox.

I recently added a section to my website that uses the Scrollable JQuery tool to load images from my Flickr account. When I initially load the page the "next" button requires two clicks before it will advance to the next set of images. This only happens on the first attempt following the page load. When I look at the code it appears that Scrollable fires an event on the first click that removes the "disabled" class on the "prev" anchor tag. Instead of the thumbnails scrolling up to hide the description, the main image and header move down. Any tips on addressing this. My brains are a bit frazzled at the moment. Do I need to fix the vertical scroll position somehow. What properties do I need to be looking at? (Note : I'm currently animating the height property of the description box.) Second question. I did have auto margins in the wrapper centering the page. When you click on description it causes the scrollbar on the right to appear, which shifts the page over to the left. I've since fixed the margin, but again is there a way around this so that I can center the page again?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a solution to scroll an image withing a div from the left to the right by moving a dot. The dot should be positioned in the middle of the image. By dragging it to the left the image on the left side should appear. The same if i drag it to the right side.
I found in the web a solution and tried to implement it, but I didnt succed. The image is there, the dot is there. But as I said the dot should be in the middle - and I don't know how to do it.

Should I disable the right click option or not? I have a gallery site, I don't want people to be able to copy the images with the default right click over an image. From a professional looking site point of view I suppose I would be messing with the functionality a bit too much, OR is it OK in this instance to disable the click. I know how to write the code to disable the click, but what I was thinking was maybe it would be better to leave the right click but change the menu options? I have to develop a vertical image scrollbar where 5-6 images will be displayed at a time and up-down movement will be controlled by arrows. I searched alot over net but didnt found exact result. either images were scrolling automatically or they were controlled by the position of mouse-cursor. Also I found script where single image comes on screen at a time (slideshow kind)which was controlled by up-down arrow.

However, instead of appearing on the page where the old image was, the new image appears in a blank page.
My research indicates that this blank page location-problem is a result of using document.write in the Function. Therefore, I know I need to find a different way to accomplish this, but am failing miserably.

I am a new designer trying to slog my way into using some of the neat tools available out there. I want to use a image slider I found called InnerFade. [URL]. Img are 400px height 900px width btw...although they do have a 18px top padding but I have tried doing 418px containerheight to no avail either..
I am trying to build on my weather website. On the page I am working on I have many images. These images are best viewed at large sizes, but if all of them were large, the page would look terrible, so I have them set to take the large image, shrink on load, enlarge on mouseover, then shrink on mouseout.. the problem is, if users do not scroll down my page, and try to look at the second row of images.. Then the bottom half of the image is cut off.. So what I need to do is Figure Out how to get my images to either appear and center of page on enlarge, or to have the page scroll down on enlarge..
