Click Input Type / Not Possible To Scroll Down / Display Values That Comes From Database?
Jul 6, 2010
With input box if you type something and refresh the page, the previous words that you typed in will be filtered and be display in a scroll down form in which you can click it.My question is, when I click the input type is it possible to scroll down, and display values that comes from a database? It should also filter the scroll down results. If it's possible I don't know how to do it.
I got a couple of comboboxes were the user selects a series of numbers. Once a selection is made, the value is appended to an input box. The idea is that the appended values form a telephone number, or at least part of one, that will then be used to search trough a database to look for a matching number.If I select "021" from indicatif, the script will append 021 to the input "blabla". The problem is, if I now select "022", the input will show "021022" instead of replacing the 021 with 022.
What I would like is that, for each combobox, the script replaces the selected value with the new one instead of simply appending it, like instead of say 021022555666 it would show 021555 or 022666 or 021666 depending on what is selected...you get the idea?Is this doable? Needless to say I'm a total noob at javascript.
I have to change text input type to password input type and i am using jquery script. This script work for FF, Chrome and Safari browser but not worked on ie7, ie8.
Script is as:-
How can i update my script, so that it works cross the browser.
I need to click on input type submit with jquery. The input has id and I used $("#....").click(), but nothing happened. Is there a way to click on this button like user would?
I'm trying to figure out a way to add a simple tool to allow users to click an input box (or a nearby button if using the input box is not possible) and a small box will pop up displaying a bunch of images. When one of the images is clicked, I need a specific URL related to that image to be added to an input box. I've put together a demo page showing where I'm trying to use this: .
As you can see in the demo, at the bottom of the page is an editing box, in that box is a small label of "Bkgrnd image" and there is an input box below that with a URL for an image in it. I want users to be able to either click the input box (or a nearby button if necessary) and a list of images to pop up for them to select from. When they click the image, a URL will replace the original one in the input box.
I am doing an application with two dropdown boxes.Once we change the value of first drop down using database values ,the values in the second drop down should change..then click on done it should display the data from databse.. first dropdown :contains country names second dropdown :contains city of particular country..My problem here at is displaying values on second drop down based on first drop down selection:
I am having no luck with my post form to mysql. It is only posting the first letter of the word/phrase for the text input fields to the mysql database. It is a photo and text post form. The photo and only first letter of text are posting to database. I am using Jqtouch, jquery, and phonegap.
Using a UI dialog I'd like to load in 10 or so images. Each would be unique and after you click on one the following needs to happen:
1. Image appears on the parent page in a specified ID.
2. A "hidden" field is updated so that when the user submits the db is updated with their selection.
3. Dialog closes automatically.
That's it. Basically it would work similar to "datepicker".I'm using the latest 1.4 and ui and been making great progress as learning basics. I need to do the above and it seems like such a no brainier and or it should already exist but after 2 days of searching and trial and error...
I've made a page to listen to The Dutch Top 2000 ever.. Example : After that I want my fewers/listeners to put a new youtube link to my database by giving input from my page. Example: For my database it is required that the input only 7fXaC07X5M8 instead of the complete link. My probem is how to handle the input in my form by javascript:
how do i pass the values of listbox[] to javascript?
below is my javascript:
function Add() { Obj=(document.getElementById("scopeid[]")); alert(Obj.value); }
alert gives me only the last selected value and not the entire values. i.e if the user has selected 2 ,3 and 4th option, it gives me value of only 4th item instead of all three. how to do it?
function read() { var numbers = new Array(); for (i = 0; i < field.length; i++) numbers[i] = document.test.checkboxName.value; var counter=0;
...
I want to read the values of the checkboxs and store the vlaues into an array (there are more than 1 checkboxs) the form name is text and the names of the check box = checkboxname
I do not know the value of both PHP-Values, they come from a database. I have tried now some hours to grab the values of this array, because i have to compare them to other values in similar inputs. But I simply do not know how? For a simple test i simply want to change the value of the chosen fields. I tried (nearly) everything from something like $("input[name='combi']").val('test'); to $("input[name='combi'//[//]//[//]]").val('test'); . In PHP I have absolutely no problem, i go simply through the arrays with:
At the moment it allows for 2 images to be magnified, but I intend displaying over 50 product images whose details are taken from a database. how to change the red parts of the script to read the changing information.
I want to restrict the user from being entering the value in <input type="file">. It works fine in IE but not in Mozilla. I am sending my code also which works in IE and not in Mozilla...
I have a list of products where they have minimum quantities in a hidden input. Some products have multiple colours, though the same minimum quantity and I'm trying to implement a jQuery check that entries made are at least equal to the minimum.
Blank or '0' entries are fine but if it's below the minimum quantity it should set to the minimum.
HTML:
Is there something obviously wrong with this? It isn't performing the minimum check and I'm really not sure why.
I am creating a site whereby advertisers can create adverts. One of the options is to view a preview of their advert. I currently open a new window to display this preview page. I would prefer to keep the user within one window at all times to avoid confusion of multiple windows and therefore was wondering if there is a way to display this preview page as an overlay similar to how lightbox displays images? I am currently using jquery lightbox to display some images and also jquery for other elements of the site such as tabs.
If I have this HTML code, the myForm.elements.length is 5, instead of the expected 6. You can click on the image in this case, and it acts like a submit button... proof that the broser recognizes it as part of the form.
So, if I call myForm.elements[4], I get the button, not the image.
It seems goofy to me, and I cannot find any documentation that explains why this is.
Of course, I can get access to the object in many other ways... I am just curious if the is an IE bug.
Is it possible to change the input type of a form field. example
<input type="password" name="pw" value="test">
i want to have a "view" button next to that field that when you press and hold it it will chnage that input type to "text" so i can see the password. And when i release the button it will change it back.
I know this sounds like a bad idea and insecure... but its not a big deal.. i have all this stored in an "administrator" panel which an admin must login to get to it. Inside of that i have some admin programs, one of which displays information about the clients. I want to be able to see the clients password when ever i need to reference what it is, but i figured rather then just printing it on the screen all the time this would be a better way.
I have an input text box that I want to change the type from text to password and I wrote code that works in Firefox but not in IE any suggestions? Here is the code(cut down a little for easier reading) code...
I am new to javascript and I tried to change the type of a input using js.My work works well with Firefox and Chrome but not with IE.IE javascript debug mode says:
Quote:
(SCRIPT256: Could not get the type property. This command is not supported. ).
This is the code I used to change the type.
Code: var email_type=document.getElementById("email"); email_type.type='text';
I have a simple html form where a user logs in. On my PHP page I have my connection string and everything to verify if the login and password exist. If so it proceeds to another page.I read about some functions jQuery.post(),jQuery.get(),jQuery.ajax()but am having trouble using it. This is the code I have so far:My HTML page:
