Allow Users To Click Input Box To Display Images

I'm trying to figure out a way to add a simple tool to allow users to click an input box (or a nearby button if using the input box is not possible) and a small box will pop up displaying a bunch of images. When one of the images is clicked, I need a specific URL related to that image to be added to an input box. I've put together a demo page showing where I'm trying to use this: [URL].
As you can see in the demo, at the bottom of the page is an editing box, in that box is a small label of "Bkgrnd image" and there is an input box below that with a URL for an image in it. I want users to be able to either click the input box (or a nearby button if necessary) and a list of images to pop up for them to select from. When they click the image, a URL will replace the original one in the input box.

With input box if you type something and refresh the page, the previous words that you typed in will be filtered and be display in a scroll down form in which you can click it.My question is, when I click the input type is it possible to scroll down, and display values that comes from a database? It should also filter the scroll down results. If it's possible I don't know how to do it.

This is such a simple question I feel stupid for asking. However I've dug around on the web for almost 30 mins and I can't get to the bottom of it. All I want is to display the day of the week based on users PC settings - not server time.
Example: "News item of the day for [insert day of week]" Sorry for my noobishness, I'm new to jQuery and what I have learned so far has been more in the realm of effects for designers, etc. Also Google is beeing annoying, every search for anything to do with "jQuery, day of week" only seems to return results on building a date picker. <sigh>

How can I capture and display the a lavue from the url to a user. Eg. The user logs onto my page and clicks a logon button. An error code is added to the end of the url if authentication is denied and bounces the user back to the same page. How can I display the added code to the user. code...

i am creating an image gallery using jquery there needs to be a row where there are
1. thumbnail images which would have
2. left and right arrow images so that the users can see multiple images and when these images are clicked
3. a bigger image would appear above these thumbnails,
4. also when each of the thumbnails are clicked along with the bigger images that appear i would also like to update a caption(few words of text) which would describe each image.
i have used a combination of jcarousel and other plugins but could not get all the 4 effects i wanted is there a plugin which would have all the 4 effects i mentioned

I am trying to build on my weather website. On the page I am working on I have many images. These images are best viewed at large sizes, but if all of them were large, the page would look terrible, so I have them set to take the large image, shrink on load, enlarge on mouseover, then shrink on mouseout.. the problem is, if users do not scroll down my page, and try to look at the second row of images.. Then the bottom half of the image is cut off.. So what I need to do is Figure Out how to get my images to either appear and center of page on enlarge, or to have the page scroll down on enlarge..

Using a UI dialog I'd like to load in 10 or so images. Each would be unique and after you click on one the following needs to happen:
1. Image appears on the parent page in a specified ID.
2. A "hidden" field is updated so that when the user submits the db is updated with their selection.
3. Dialog closes automatically.
That's it. Basically it would work similar to "datepicker".I'm using the latest 1.4 and ui and been making great progress as learning basics. I need to do the above and it seems like such a no brainier and or it should already exist but after 2 days of searching and trial and error...

When you try to select some HTML modified by the user like an input, it returns the original html.
Example : <input type="text" value="" name="test" />
If the user write "something" in the textbox and then echo the html, the input value will still be null. (At least in firefox)
Is there a way to catch these inputs as well ?

I'm attempting to make user's input choice dynamically create the scrambled word game. The only thing that changes between the HTML page, and the JS files is the Array used to make the game. I researched Dynamic Arrays, but was confused, as nothing seem related to what I'm doing. What I've got going is all wrong. I know there is a better way to do this, but am confused. SelAry I've tried using too, but I can't get that code to work either. I don't know where to put the eval function. For example: let's imagine I want to make script that every enrolled number multiplies by 2 (I don't know if it's common for jQuery to do this, but it is just an example). User need to enroll number, let's say, in some bar, or little window that displays on screen. So, that is what I mean by open for user. I'd like to provide users with help regarding the form input areas with a help popup dialog box. I don't like the term popup because so many people block popups. I'll be providing a question mark next to the feature and if clicked would like a customizable dialog box to show with help text. There will be many of these involved and would like to know the best approach.

I am setting up a form to enter a chat queue on my website for work. The form script comes from the company we are using to host the chat, but the problem is that customers don't have to fill out anything to enter the queue. I want the users to have to fill out 3 of the 5 fields before they are able to click the sumbit button. I've found a few scripts on the web that looked they like would work, but they were all for radio selections, and I don't have enough javascript knowledge to switch the correct parameters to work with input.

From what I understand, the bulk of the form script needs to stay the same so it directs to us and not another company.

I prefer jQuery over flash and not sure how to tackle this, so please advise as best you can. Trying to create a site that allows for images to go full browser and then have the ability to have the other images slide in based on a click.
I also want to float a menu that will allow it to pull in other media (video, that would slide in the same way). The best example I can share is this: http://j.mp/5U79i1 What he is using is flash based (slideshowpro director and slideshow pro for flash). Not interested in flash for this personal project.

Should I disable the right click option or not? I have a gallery site, I don't want people to be able to copy the images with the default right click over an image. From a professional looking site point of view I suppose I would be messing with the functionality a bit too much, OR is it OK in this instance to disable the click. I know how to write the code to disable the click, but what I was thinking was maybe it would be better to leave the right click but change the menu options? I'm not sure how to change the menu options ere is a link to the site. [URL]

I need a JavaScript (or something else) that will fade out the web site, on load, and display a series of images, then display a "Continue" button to go back to the web site. I have an idea for a cute (and funny) way to get people interested in my site that has a weird name. I am using a very simple search-type page to enable users to input a model number and its page appears in a inline frame. Its not a true search as it is simply relying on a person entering the correct html page name to find it. But this works perfectly in my application.The problem I have is that I cannot get the type box to accept enter key as a submitt, only a click of the mouse will submitt the request. If enter is pressed the box loses the users input but no action is taken.I think this may be a javascript issue. I have posted the code below.

I seem to keep chaging my mind about the best way to do this. I am trying to make a gallery that will display images on a page (without a database!) from a folder when a link is cliked. I have used PHP to read the file paths into an array - and this seems to work perfectly. Its output is similar to this:

my site is [URL] and on the homepage i have a jcarouselLite that came with the wordpress template that im using. I cannot get it to display more then 3 images, even if i put another <li> item in there.
I've copied and pasted the last image 2-3 times over and it won't display. I've also tried changing it to a new image and putting it at the end and it still won't display.

I don't post on the javascript forum much, because I don't program in javascript. I do most my programming in PHP and I recently designed a script to grab an image everytime it is updated. The images are checked, to see if they exist in the directory, and if not, are added. So in the end, I will have a series of images.
I want to know use a simple (javascript?) script to go through the directory (or an array of the filenames) and display them at X images per second.

As a test, I'm trying to display a sequence of images on an html page. The first image is displayed initially, but when I click on the button (although I can tell that the sequencing is happening, and the image files are on the server where they're supposed to be) the rest of the images do not display.

My project is stated in the title, I want to let users who want to see my portfolio click on a button and the portfolio page slide over my index page. Ex. at www.visumdesignz.com over to the left is a button that says portfolio. when you click on it an extruder pops out, I used the extruder for another function, I decided I didn't want that function, but it gave me this idea. I want the extruder to slide over all of the content.
I noticed the facebook app has a similar function to what I am looking for, take a look at it, when you are looking at your dashboard the news feed slides off to the side, that's a similar idea, even though this isn't mobile, you get the idea, at least I hope.
