JQuery :: Click On Images And If Right Sequence Get Success?

I would like to show users 10 images (DIVs) on which they can click. Images will be numbers (0-9) and they have to click on correct sequence (example 4 6 3 2 2 7) and then click "submit" button. If they don't get correct sequence they get shown some message about wrong numbers, but if they get it wight they should get some message of success. I am searching for some similar jquery or ajax scripts and can't find anything. As a test, I'm trying to display a sequence of images on an html page. The first image is displayed initially, but when I click on the button (although I can tell that the sequencing is happening, and the image files are on the server where they're supposed to be) the rest of the images do not display.

For the moment disregarding function thirdPic, I am able to click on "sample text" and I switch from an invisible image (actually 1 px by 1 px) with a picture of a book with a quote (firstPic) that I want to appear on screen. After reading the quote the reader can click on the image of the book and it will disappear. And it works fine. However, there are a couple of cases where I would like to show a lengthier quotation which would require me to click on the first book image(firstPic) and a second book image would appear with more text(thirdPic). I can get the second image to appear but I can't get it to disappear. Or I can get the first image to appear and get back to the empty screen but I want to do both.
Everything I've tried to do doesn't work. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE BUTTON TO CLICK THROUGH A SLIDESHOW. It would not be the representation I want ot produce.

I prefer jQuery over flash and not sure how to tackle this, so please advise as best you can. Trying to create a site that allows for images to go full browser and then have the ability to have the other images slide in based on a click.
I also want to float a menu that will allow it to pull in other media (video, that would slide in the same way). The best example I can share is this: http://j.mp/5U79i1 What he is using is flash based (slideshowpro director and slideshow pro for flash). Not interested in flash for this personal project.

Should I disable the right click option or not? I have a gallery site, I don't want people to be able to copy the images with the default right click over an image. From a professional looking site point of view I suppose I would be messing with the functionality a bit too much, OR is it OK in this instance to disable the click. I know how to write the code to disable the click, but what I was thinking was maybe it would be better to leave the right click but change the menu options? I'm not sure how to change the menu options ere is a link to the site. [URL]

I want to swap the source of two images when you click on one image. Basically, I am switching on/off states. But I can't even get the first part to work. Here is a function that I would think replace the word "off" in the image file name with "on" when you click on an image with the class .img-swap. After that I would imagine I would toggle the class of each somehow.

I've run into a problem with swapping images for site navigation.The "hover" part works just fine, but the problem lies within the click part. When the user clicks the first thing that happens is to reset all of the images for all of the links, and then set the hover image for the link that was clicked. However it seems that after resetting all of the images 'src' attributes, the code for setting the link that was clicked either doesn't execute, or executes before the reset.

I have 4 images and these images are changing automatically with duration of 2 seconds with show hide animation.and there are 4 bullets with mentioned above 4 images. these bullets are highlighting for example if image number 1 is showing than bullet number 1 is highlighting. same thing for other 3 bullets and images.

I have 3 different images on my page, with same IDs for each. And names for each images as img1, img2, img3 respectively. I am using the following function in jQuery, but for some reason, the alert prompts me with the first image name no matter which image I click.

I understand that the very essence of the web is point and click however what I'm trying to achieve is anavigationsystem using a series of static 3D Render images have them seamlessly stitch together creating apseudowalk througheffect. For example if a user clicks on a hot spot e.g. a drawer it will fetch the same image but with the drawer open. or if a user wishes to go 'deeper into the scene e.g. a walk-through style effect then they would click on the hotspot and the image presently loaded would zoom out and and fade out loading the next thus giving you forward motion

I created an internal application which shows a large list of tasks that will be completed on a server by a script. It will go through each in order and update a database with its status (E.x "Failed", "Good", "Errors: <msg>").What I am doing currently is pulling the ID's of these tasks from a database, and then passing them to JQ to .load() the actual content for each div.What I would like to do is figure out a way to have each div reload as something is happening to it. So, lets say the script fires on the server and begins to process task ID 1. I would like to figure out a good way to be able to instantiate reloading for each div, as it is being processed.I do not wish to reload the entire page, I would not like for all 200+ divs to be constantly refreshing.

I have four icons that I wish to face in when the page loads. When the first image is 25% faded, the second will fade in. When the second is 25% faded, the third will fade in. When the third is 25% faded, the fourth will fade in. Since I have never touched jQuery, with the exception of downloading plugins and using them, how should i best go about this?

I am a self thought web developer and am constantly having problems making sure that certain commands are finished executing before others are started. My most recent problem is trying to append a large amount of data, to a div, then sliding it down slowly. Since that data takes a while to append, the system is doing both at the same time, therefore not giving me the slide down effect. Here is the code:

Where "SomeDiv" is part of "cpage" and "data" is a large amount of images. I would like to execute line 1 and then all the other lines simultaneously. It is currently executing all of the simultaneously.

I have a text-box. On the event of `OnKeyup` a function is triggered that looks like this:
$.getJSON(url,function(data){
$.each(data, function(key, value) {
showSearchResult(value);
});
});
No my problem is that when you type really fast then the return search result does not always return relevant to the current value of the textbox.
[I did think of adding a very small time-interval on the onkeyup event but i thought there might be a cleverer way of doing it ]
This problem is because the Ajax calls do not sometimes return in the same sequence that they were fired.

I have just added a jQuery fade plugin onto a page to automatically cycle through images in an unordered list without a click event. It works well but when I preview the page with JS disabled all images become visible and it messes up the layout. What I need is a method that works when JS is disabled. I have seen methods where the {display:none} CSS styles are applied then changed via JS but can't figure this out. If anyone can either recommend a decent plugin with provisions for JS disabled browsers

I've used Jquery Cycle to build thefollowingpage: [URL] As you can see the slides runnicelyin sequence with a clickable navigation. I would like to be able to run this slide show from a random starting slide on each page load, but for the slide show to remain in sequence and not load random slides thereafter. I'm sure this is doable - but the only random syntax I've found for this plugiin loads just random slides, out of the running order, which makes the navigation run randomly. I just want the starting slide to be random.

I'm trying to do this. I have 6 images let's called it:
Then HomeButtonOff and ClassButtonOff is set as clickable images with the a href tags, and there's a image by the side which is TitleHome
As someone click on HomeButtonOff, HomeButtonOff would be switched to HomeButtonOn and ClassButtonOff will be switch to ClassButtonOff and the title TitleHome would be switched TitleHome
Its something like when you click on a menu, it will change the selected menu to a highlighted form and change the title of the page.
I tried with my code below but doesn't seem to work.
