JQuery :: Textarea/Textbox Html Content Encoding To Satisfy .Net 4.0 Validation Test

I have web form (not MVC) that has bunch of textarea and textboxes where user can input HTML markup. For example, a textarea is provided so users can put YouTube embed iframe html tag where it will be shown on their profile. The problem is that asp.net 4.0 http request validation doesn't like things like ">" or "<", etc. I can put pagevalidation="false" on the page and/or revert back to .net 2.0 validation but why would I want to do that since I have geniuses like you guys that can show me how to do what I want with jquery without jeopardizing security.
So what I want to do is form a handler so when the form is submitted, the content of the textboxes and textarea on the page be encoded (i.e. > to > etc.) before the submission to the asp.net 4.0 so we can keep the httprequest validation stuff happy. I have added a class "mustEncode" to each of the textarea and textboxes.

Is there difference in using regexp.test(string) or str.search(regex)? Getting difrnt results when I use one vs to other.

I am trying to populate a preview div with the content of a textarea. I have 2 textareas on the page. One with ID compose and another with ID profile_signature. Each has its own preview button named respectivly #profile_sig_preview and #msg_preview. however no matter which button is clicked the div is always populated with the content of the first textarea ie profile_signature. I tired setting up 2 divs so the content could be seperated but that did the same thing.

I am looking to have the user input a word into a textbox then when the user hits an "Add" button, the word is stored to an array and then is displayed in a table. I also want the textbox to clear after the "Add" button is pressed. Next, I want the user to be able to input another word into the textbox and when the "Add" button is pressed, have that word stored to same array as the first word but just to a different number.ingredient(0)=first word; ingredient(1)=second word. I have just setup jeditable for a text area and this works fine however when I activate / click on the text area to bring up the editor, the content is filled with br tags (example below). How to convert the br tags into tags before it is displayed?

I'm using the standard module pattern and the problem is once you set a private variable, trying to test that object independently becomes a nightmare as the next test is polluted by the actions of the previous.So, the options are to have some reset method (which is horrible), setters on everything (defeats the point) or delete object and re-load script (hideous).

I would like to create a html E-test form run on PC and the data will save into a file on disk. I search online for this function code but found that most the script only save the cookie, is it possible for javascript save form data to file? Here is the ideal for my survay form,
1. user click "start" button for the e-test,
2. user need to finish the e-test with in 20 minutes, after 20 minutes the form will auto submit and the data will save into file,
3. me will go to the file folder open it and print out the qestion and anwser.
4. The file will be detele after i print out and the next user can do the e-test again.
I got the time counter and the auto submit script. but i just have no ideal how to save the data into file.

I want to change the content of different div's using .html(). The change should be done by clicking on the inner element of the container. I've got this javascript routine (i found on google) in an
asp.net page that on page reload sets the cursor of a textbox to the
last line. It works great!
Using a similar concept, I have another application that uses a
textbox like an editor window and has a save and other buttons.
Problem is - when I save/post/reload, the textbox returns to cursor
the top again.
How can I preserve / save the exact cursor spot and return to the
exact same spot I was in before I saved. Code:

In a Text Area or Rich Edit Text Box I need to control whitespaces in between strings. For example if I have a : 1234 this is text test123. When I restore this information on the text area the spaces between those strings are not respected and only 1 space is in between those strings. When I browsed forums I see that we can use <pre> to hold the formats. I am new to programming don't know whether I need to work on HTML DOM for this text area or I can handle it in Javascript.

I want to implement a text input box for SMS text messages and the messages are limited to 160 characters (including spaces, etc.). I would like the font color of the text to be green as the user types and any text beyond 160 characters to be red. I would like to do this with one input box, the same box that the user is typing in not a separate display box. This will be on the users local PC it won't be on the Internet.
