JQuery :: Using .html() And .click() - Change The Content Of Different Div's Using .html()
Jul 28, 2011
I want to change the content of different div's using .html(). The change should be done by clicking on the inner element of the container. The content of the clicked container should be changed with the first container. My problem is, that the following code does the change, but only once. After every div has changed one time, no more reaction is shown.
I used the jquery-function replaceWith() to replace this html part <div class="montag">...</div> with this part <div id="ersatz">...</div> Then i implemented a listener for montag and a listener for ersatz, so I can switch back and forth between the different parts.
The side gets loaded within the montag div and when i click on this part the listener works and the html gets switched to the ersatz part, but after this the listener for ersatz does not work, although the modified html gets displayed in firebug. Are there any solutions for such a kind of problem?
I am currently using load() to display content upon clicking a line. I would like to add another load function to the same anchor's click event. I tried applying the click function to the sam a.class but it did not work.I have the load a.class within an accordion. here is my current jQuerry functions on the page
I'm a web design student who has designed a website for a family member in my spare time. The website uses 5 html documents and all share one css document, it has no jscript docs. Recently, we learned how to use jscript to set up an image gallery in class where clicking on a certain button changes the picture shown on the page, my question is can the same thing be applied to the contents of an html document?(<p>,<a>,<img>) I'm aware you can change the contents of say, a <p> with an id tag but I mean to do it for a whole sections of the site. That includes paragraphs, images etc.
If so, it would be great to cut down my html from 6 pages to just one.
I want to dynamically change the content of a container tag (DIV for example) with the data of another container tag present in a different HTML file placed in a different folder
My open HTML file is 'A.htm' placed in 'Folder A' and container id='old_data'
My required content is inside the tag with id='new_data' present in file 'B.htm' and placed in 'Folder B'
so, code in file A.htm may be
> document.getElementById('old_data').innerHTML = <<What Comes Here >>
.change() is only for form elements minus check boxes/radio buttons, etc.Are any of you aware of a script that does this already? Hopefully one that is easy to implement.I just want to monitor things like height, number of inner elements, or any change in the inner HTML.
I have this code that displays all vertical buttons for sharing my content however I want to display horizontal buttons if the user is using a smaller window size. It will have a different div and some of the code wil be changed i.e. "data-count="horizontal".
It would be awesome to also do this via my external JS file so it is not inline.
But that is not essential.
Also using fluid width CSS is not an option due to my having a sidebar with ads that can't be changed in size.
How can I make <td>yes</td> To this <td><img src="yes"/></td> with jQuery. I must search. I had to look after but yes, and then replace it with other content? But how can I do that?
var doc = frames[0].document; doc.open(); doc.write(data); if($.browser.mozilla){
[code].....
"data" is a string with html content. this works quite good in all browsers but I wonder if there is a better solution.firefox doesn't load the content correctly if the content is too large and doc.close() is called too early.
I'm using the .html() function to update information in a div whenever a button is clicked, like this:
$("#myPic").click(function() { $("#myDiv").html("//new content for div goes here
However, for some of these new sections, the html is QUITE lengthy. can i store it on a separate file in the same directory and somehow import it?? Is there a better way?
since a few days i try to load external html content from another domain. obviosly it is hard to access cross domain content wit javascript ajax methodes. first i' ve tried iframes but access denied. after that I' ve tried $.ajax but all request returned zero byte data from server. here is a way that seems to work but raise an error while processing data from text to json object
i can see the server response in firebug and it requests the html data. but as i sayd i raise an error while converting to json. any chance to get raw data before jquery konversion? or maybe any other way (s) to request html data in text format from cross domain?
var html = $.get('templates/Template.html', function(html) { }); console.log(html);
The object returned, html, have the property response, wich contain the html of page Template.html In firebug I see that the property responseText have all the html of the page, but... how can I get this value? I have try with:
I couldn't find any in Google or in the JQuery plugin library.I am trying to develop a book like app, where the site manage enters a text as long as he like into CKEditor textbox. the editor of course create tags around the text, and also there might be images inside the text. Then when someone chooses the book (bunch of DIV tags), he gets a book like js (this is working) and i need to populate the book with the content from the DB.
The problem is that i just can't figure a way to split the text into small chunks without destroying tags in the process. Is there a split app in jquery that does that?
I'm just starting out, and having a little difficulty understanding how to target other html markup around a certain 'on click' item.[code]So when the user clicks the anchor the text is inserted into the following textarea. I achieved this by:[code]
I'm using some click events on normal <a> tags. When I rewrite the links within a html() method call, the click events no longer work. I've set up a very simple example here:When the page is loaded, clicking either of the 'link 2' links displays the correct information. When 'link 1' is then clicked, the main information is redisplayed. However, now, the 'link 2' link in the main paragraph doesn't work, although the 'link 2' link in the menu does.
I got my code for adding my table ( HTML manipulation )But the problem is, that if u click an empty row, it need to change letter from S to Z ( and empty ( space ) So, i actually don't know how i can use those multiple's, so i started scripting from just an space to ... it didn't work.. but i was sure my script works, so i used it on other page .. and it worked ... here is my code
Trying to make code that adds a hover event to all html elements within a certain container. On hover the element should be outlined by adding/removiing a css class. Thats the first thing and I can't get that to work with the code below.
The second part is to keep the element outlined when its clicked, and also when selecting multiple elements by (ctrl+click).
Have searched for a outline plugin, but came up with nothing.
I currently have a div and am using jquery for ajax stuff. The give is named app_content. I have a navigation menu full of input images. When a user clicks on any of these images it would inject html code in the app_content div which is where the html will be displayed.
Now the problem is that when I inject the html code I also inject javascript/jquery code. I make some more input images to be injected into this app_content div. One image is a button called new post. What I am trying to do is another ajax call to a php script to again inject the html code into app_content div. So like the new post I want to inject a form into app_content. The problem is that when you click on the image it does nothing.
The navigation menu is a different div it's app_nav div. Those images are input images and work find where once clicked it injects html code using jquery ajax to the div app_content. So when the html and also jquery code is injected into this div I have another input image inside this div and want to do the same thing when a user clicks this image which is a input image then it will run a function that uses jquery to use ajax to grab html from a .php file and then inject it in the same div meaning app_content div.
Is this possible?
To Sum up what I am trying to do is have jquery ajax inject html/jquery code in a div and the injected code would have another jquery ajax code where it would do another injection when clicked to the same div it's in.
