In real life this could be a like two text elements like in this example, but it´s dynamic so it could be like 3 or 15 or whatever sometimes.
I inherited Javascript and jQuery for a sliding belt (carousel) module. Basically, left and right navigation arrows would appear to the sides of the belt if there were more slides to show.
The jQuery and Javascript code was originally a singleton, so I decided to convert it into a jQuery plug-in in case the belt HTML markup was instantiated more than once. We have a CMS, so multiple belt modules theoretically could be placed on the same template.
Below is test page with two belts on the same page and the associated Javascript jQuery.
My problem is that when you click on the arrows or the slides, I found that the second belt works fine but not the first one. The first one does not show a left arrow when you page to the right. Likewise, the first belt gets mixed up going to the left. Somehow, only the second belt works as expected.
What I would like to do is when I attach my plug-in to a DIV, I want each belt to operate independently of each other (i.e keep its own local variables, functions, etc.).
I am not sure what I am missing here. what I am doing wrong? (You should be able to copy and paste the code into jsFiddle to see how it currently works.)

I'm binding a click event to a div so that I can see whether is was the div or some element inside the div that has been clicked. When the if() in my code evaluates to true $(this) is still equal to $("#content") whereas I'd like to have the clicked anchor as matched element. How would I do this?

in jCarousel i have a list of items, what i would like to be able to do is when the user clicks on an item (say the 4th visible item in the list) the carousel would scroll so that the clicked item becomes the first visible item in the list.

I would like to do: When I click on a button, it will set the item in the listbox to be bold. But this will only happen when the user clicks on the desired item to be bold and presses the button. I have small webBrowser1 and I have the 3 Buttons(Back, Forward,Go) also I have the ComboBox1 with the Items Collection of different website url using MSVB 2008 in C++.My question:
1) How could I make my mouse click on each url with timer between the first url and the second and so on and let's say time between the 1st url and scroll down to the second with timer of 3 second .

Firstly, I dont even know if this is possible but anyway I have a HTML form element problem, I want to be able to double click one item in a multi select box and I want that double click to fire of a modal popup box.
I am able to get a regular hyperlink to do the action for me but I need it to be an item in a multi select box.

the first function(start: function ..) displays an attribute (title) of the dragged item once the sorting starts. supposedly, the second function (stop: function ..) would display the same attribute but of the item replaced by the dragged item once the sorting stops.

I've been working on a Spin Control that uses only a standard textbox. <input type="text" /> With Javascript enabled the textbox looks and acts like a spin-button control without adding any extra elements. The problem is that when I get to the end of the list (e.g. there IS no next()), I want to skip this part of the code and actually hide the right arrow. I have no problem with the hiding part - I just want to set a flag when I have traversed the list to the last item.

I am using the following javascript on the target page to open it as top location from within an iframe, which is working ok.

However my problem occurs when the user uses the browsers back arrow to return to the previous page, the script executes again returning them once more to the page they have come from. Is anyone aware of a work around to this problem as it would seem there isn't one? perhaps even a better solution for opening the target page from the iframe as top location. This is really causing confusion for users, and I really need to get the issue fixed.
I have an XML node called "myNode" and it contains:
