JQuery :: Radio Buttons Doesn't Work Correctly On IE?
Jul 23, 2009
I'm having a problem with my radio buttons. On FF and Chrome they work just fine, but in IE, they does'nt appear as sellected. In other words: they do their job, but when you click'em, they stay unckeched. The genetarion code:
var item = $('<input type="radio" />').attr('value',pid).attr('name',name);
self.append($('<p />').append(item).append('<label>'+desc+'</label>'));
I can't get the radio buttons to work properly in my browser. If you don't press one the alert box does not tell you that you have to tick either male or female. Also I noticed you can tick both but it won't say you must choose only one, how can I sort this..
case "radio_hidden": if (fld.value != "1")/* radio male or female button should be checked*/ { fld.valid = true;
I've created a checkbox and radio button replacement plugin (URL...), and I'm trying to be as thorough as possible.One situation that I have yet to solve is if a button is given the attribute checked="checked" through some external function. I'm not sure of how to detect this event so that the replacement image is also updated. The .change() method only works when the user actually clicks on the button.The reason I am trying to work this out is because I am adding support for disabled buttons as well. From what I've seen, there are plenty of situations where a button is disabled until a user either selects something else, or fills in required info, etc., and then it is enabled (most likely through the removal of disabled= 'disabled '). If the developer has already worked that in, I don't want the implementation of my plugin to affect that. It should just work automatically.I do check the states on page load, but i'm not running any sort of loop to constantly look for changes.
java and i am having trouble getting radio buttons , check boxes and pull down lists to work in my form whenever i put them in there they just come up as undefined. And if i try to put any if statements in the hyper links stop working as the program cannot run. Obviously as i am doing something very wrong.I am at a loss and have spent hours on it and just cant get these things working.Any thing with a typed answer works great such as first name or last name here is the code i have written so far
<script> function hidediv(divname) { if (document.getElementById) { // DOM3 = IE5, NS6
I'm trying to create a questionnaire style series of radio buttons which are hidden and then a different set of radio buttons displayed depending on the previous answer. eg
Q1 Is it a man? (if select yes then display)
Q2 Is he called John? (if no then display)
Q3 Is he called Gary? and so on...
I've been testing using the code below but wondered if anyone had any ideas on how this could be done easily?
I have written probably a rigged way of disabling and enabling fields and radio buttons. The only problem is that when i add the radio buttons to turn on and off the input fields wont work any more.
<script language="javascript"> function enableField() {
I can't get the form validation and the postioned layers/radio buttons working at the same time is either 1 of the other. I have provided the code html/css/javascript code below [URL]
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>
I have 3 radio buttons with the same name ("myradio"). The value of each is a different URL (eg. value="http:[url]...)I have a link underneath these (<a href="#">Send</a>). I would like the selected radio button's value to be inserted into the href of the link, and if the user selects a different radio button that this changes.
Im trying to configuere a form that a.a radio buttons that allow the user to choose between quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies and show image when click on my radio button.how to get the image to display whenthey click on the radio button?
how I can make each radio button call a different page. For example If i click on radio button 1 and click submit it will take me to [url].... and if I click radio button 2 and click submit .
I have a set of radio buttons each with an onclick event that has a numeric value. When the button is clicked an input box called "Total" is updated with the new value. The problem I'm having is that if a radio button is checked and one clicks on it again then the onclick event is triggered.
Is there any way to prevent the onclick event from triggering if the radio button is already checked?
I got a pice of html that i want to transform to UI Tabs. This code is aouto generated and wrong, so I want to correct it before calling tabs() function
I have a form with 4 radio buttons, the scenario is, when a user click on a radio button a hidden content will be displayed and the other three radio buttons will be disabled so that at one time a user can only click and view single radio button and the hidden content.Here is my code to show hide the hidden content but i need when the user select one radio button the other radio buttons should disable.
what i need to do to add all the radio botton and check box. i already finish the add formula on the checkbox but i do not know how to add the two selected radio buttons to my checkbox buttons.for example:
I have a question here. I have 2 videos and if I click the image which uses #usemap, it will switch to the specific videos I clicked. FF and chrome has no problem but only IE.
The scenario is like this: Actual scenario is when the page load, it will display tab 1, video 1 and tab 2 is greyed out. If I clicked on tab 2, tab 1 is greyed out and video 2 is display. Both tabs I use #usemap.
But now the problem in IE is that it keeps on displaying tab 1 and video 2 instead of video 1 and when I clicked tab 2, tab 2 is selected but no video is loaded. Below is a simple code which hope it can helps better understanding of what I'm trying to do:
IE just keep displaying video 2 when page load and video doesn't loads when tab 2 is clicked. Even if I program the 2 divs to be show, it only shows video 2 and video 1 is nowhere to be seen. And I tried taking out the video 2 codes, video 1 then can be seen.
If you look at this page [url] you will see that if you hover over the photo the text block goes up, and if you hover over the text it slides down and covers the photo. It's all pretty basic and it works fine. But ones I try to get them animated during the sliding up and down the trouble starts.
It works fine if you take the time and wait for them to go back to their starting position, but if you move over the items quickly it becomes a mess. You can see what I mean on this page [url]
I hoped that by adding a stop() before the animation if would fix the problem, but it doesn't really improve at all. It still quickly becomes a mess if you hover from one item to the next one.
How I could get the animations to work properly without it becoming a mess? I now there are double id's in the html, but unfortunately I can't really change the html.
I have a bunch of floated divs and I want to increment a variable every time they 'jump' to the next line. When I try using offset() for this I get the same top,left cords for every single element. Is there any way of getting the actual offset? (I get the same result in FF and Chrome)
I am trying to use the jquery radio buttons and everything looks well until I press the submit button.What is passed on in my POST variable for the radio buttons is the string "on" and not at all the name of the button. All of the buttons just returns "on".[URL]
I'm a js noob but have managed to cobble together some code for a simple calculator. All the math works well, but changing the radio button doesn't have any effect. Basically, I have 4 set of equations (long if/then statements) - 2 are to be used when one radio button is checked, 2 if the other is checked.
<html><head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"> <script language="JavaScript"> function temp(form) { var r1 = form.r1.value;
i am following the example ajaxSubmit[URL].... here my code[URL]... i realized that the showRequest work correctly, shown all my form submit values But it doesn't respond "showResponse(responseText, statusText, xhr, $form)" is not execute. the respond prompt is not pop up
I want my radio buttons to become submit buttons as well. So when a user clicks on a radio button it submits the action and refreshes the page accordingly. As of now using only using onclick="this.form.submit()" the page only refreshes with no change. Here is a copy of the entire form. It is a custom shipping options form (I did not create it).
I have a signup form on my site..when the user clicks the signup button, I am using a little script to check the form and make sure it's filled out correctly. I know i'm calling the script right because I did some error checking/debugging but it isn't actually doing its job.
Further more, I tried a quick alert to see the value of my variable, returned and I get an alert that reads "[object nodes list]".
Here's my script
<head> <script type="text/javascript"> function chk_Empty(){ alert("working");
