JQuery :: Change An Image When Fields Are Validated?
Sep 8, 2010
I have a form with a username field and password field, and a login button in the form of an image. I would like to have the login button image change its state to the hover style in the CSSwhen both username and password fields have been validated/filled out.[code]...
I have this order form where the customers can change the quantity by intput in a text field.I would like to have the text field changed with select fields, but doing so in the form, the script is not doing anymore.Can anyone have a look and tell me what to change in the scritp to accept select fields in place of the text fields.
I have this create user form, and I'm checking if the email hasn't been used already. This works... But what my problem is, that if the email has not been used before, it will not send the form, while I return true.
I've tried to use $(this).submit, but that will just make it loop and never stop.
So basically: ifdata.is_dublicate = true show error else data.is_dublicate = false submit the form
$("#add_user").submit( function(){ var error = $('#dublicate'); $.post(domain.com/check_dublicate_email', {email: $("#email").val()},
This is my first post, and I'm only just learning jqury/JavaScript.
i have a form I'd like to send via POST method to a second php page, i have all the validation etc working fine, I'm struggling with the on Submit handler.. once the form is validated...
can anyone please tell/direct me how i can post this form to a php page that will do the data insertion?[code]...
I'm working on a little project where they have a slider form and I need to piggyback a tiny line of code into the validation function for the form.
What I need to happen is when the user has filled in all the fields and clicks the submit button AND the data validates THEN a class is added to the body tag. My jQuery knowledge is very minimal - I added the code to where I 'thought' its supposed to go but it didnt seem to work.
jQuery(document).ready(function() { jQuery('#scroller').css('overflow','hidden'); // Set up the scrollable registration var wizard = jQuery('#scroller').scrollable();
I am trying to validate a form with a couple of elements being required if a checkbox is NOT checked. Now if I submit the form the rules fire - and then I check the checkbox on - the validation rules have already fired - and even though the checkbox is now checked - the validation rules still apply and the form will not submit until I enter the fields.What I was hoping was that the checkbox could toggle the rules on or off.
var validator = $(".cmxform").validate({ rules: { txtAddress1: {
I have three input fields as UNITPRICE & UNITQUANTITY and TOTALPRICE. UNITPRICE's value depends on a product chosen in the preceding tab. Now, I want UNITPRICE & UNITQUANTITY fields multiplied and result shown on TOTALPRICE input field. How can I do it?
I wanna know how can I automatically change the second input field to get a end date after I selected the first field and get a start date. I need keep the second input field' value same change as the first one. Like the calendar application from [URL] or tripadvisor.
I'm building a website with a image menu like accordion, using jquery+easing+kwicks [URL]ith CSS, I can change the opacity of the element hovered (the opened kwick), but I'm looking to someway to change the opacity of the inactive kwicks (the images that close when you open a hovered image).I tried to do it with css, or hacking kwicks plugin, but I couldn't make it.
I've been using prettySociable on my site (can be downloaded here. I use the uncompressed version). I want to be able to change the tooltip (that shows up when you drag an image) to default to an image on my server, rather than to the page title. I think I've tracked down the code on line 265 of the jquery.prettySociable.js file, but I'm unsure how to change it:
I have a page with a form on it. I also have as part of the page some form validation using javascript. However, and this is rather frustrating, the form is being sent even when the validation is failing. If the form fails validation it shouldn't be sent. The code is:
I am trying to get a form to work with validating a checkbox. It validates the checkbox ok, but it always redirects, even if the box isn't checked...it does alert, but I was hoping that it would stay on the current page and not redirect unless the box IS checked. I really can't see what I did wrong. Code:
I have a simple three-field form in a UI Dialog that, prior to POSTing, I need to validate using the jQuery Validation plugin.Currently, if the user clicks the form's Submit button (the form's action for the PHP form handling is the page with the link that opens the Dialog in the first place) with a field not properly filled out, the Dialog just closes.Clicking again on the link that opens the Dialog form will show the form with the error message(s) that the Validator generated on the previous click of the submit button.How can I keep the Dialog open and prevent a POST until the form validates?
I have a very simple form. I start with the submit button disabled and once all of the fields have been validated I would like the submit button to enable. I only have required fields so the standard options that come with the validation plugin satisfy my needs. I only have this code along with the corresponding classes.
Have made a contact form for a website that uses javascript to validate it then once validated prompts the user if the details are correct. Currently its working in chrome and ie but not in firefox. Code is in post #3.
I have a select dropdown with several options. The user selects an option and fills out the following few fields. If the user then changes his mind and changes the option in the dropdown, I want all the fields - or just the ones already filled out - to be cleared.
Note: reset() of the form is not an option as there are other things going on (hide/display of fields based on the dropdown option selected).
I have a form that has 50 text fields and a corresponding hidden field for each of these. i.e. textfield1 hiddenfield1 etc. When the textfield has data entered it calls a script but I want the script to change the corresponding hidden field but am stuck as to how to do this. I have the following function which gets called: function addOptions(currentRole) { document.addGroup.['use_role_'+currentRole].value='Y'; } How to get this work work. Where I have ['use_role_'+currentRole] the currentRole should be replaced with the number (1 - 50) so as to change use_role_23 if currentRole is 23.
I need to be able to change the fields of a form based on a drop-down list. Like if someone picks option A field 1 shows and if they change it to option B field 1 and 2 show up without reloading the page.
If you need me to explain more I will try to do a better job. If I could be pointed in the general direction that would be great, I dont exactly need to be spoon-fed, although I do like spoons if you catch my drift .
I have a page HTML. In HTML have 1 button, when click into button that'll appear 1 window. In this window, it's show 1 image and after 5s it will change the other image. I can't do this.
I am using ContentFlow from [URL] It is very well documented on their website. I got the whole thing working great on my site. What I don't know is how to change the ActiveItem onclick to just bump it over to the next image as if the next image had been clicked. As of right now it opens the image source in a self window. I don't want that. Can anyone give me a clue or maybe the whole answer on how to get it to click over to the next image? I believe the answer lies in the contentflow_src.js file.
I have a form that collects information about up to 5 items. I would like the user to be able to select from a drop down menu how many items for which they want to compare information, and then have the form change the number of input fields accordingly.
In other words, if the user selects enter info for 3 items, then input fields for only 3 items are shown, if they change it to 4 items, then a fourth column shows up in the table with the appropriate input fields.
I was wanting to know how to properly make an image change when you hover over the main image.URL...And I want ALL the images to change as soon as you hover over each image.Now here's the problem. Whenever I layout my coding like that, when I hover over ANY image, an image I don't want to change, changes.So is there any way that I can get ALL images to work without having to create external JavaScript files?
i cant get a caption specific to each image to display under the arrows when the image changes. it is especially hard for me because i have to edit the javascript which confuses the **** out of me. it seemed so simple....
ps i cant start an id with a digit? it doesnt seem to cause any problems...why is it stated that this cannot or shouldnot be done?
I'm failing to get a pure CSS way to achieve this, so trying JS. Several small images in a row, each different. Want mouseover to:
1. change each image to different image on mouseover (each image has its own mouseover image version).
2. produce different paragraph of text below row of images on each mouseover.
I can achieve it with mouseover on text links or on an image, but not with the two events, viz mouseover image swap + mouseover text swap. Would also want to be able to style the text.
