I have three input fields as UNITPRICE & UNITQUANTITY and TOTALPRICE. UNITPRICE's value depends on a product chosen in the preceding tab. Now, I want UNITPRICE & UNITQUANTITY fields multiplied and result shown on TOTALPRICE input field. How can I do it?

I pull product price from another page. Then I multiply it with quantity entered in the quantity input field. The problem is, if I forget to enter quantity value before I pull product information or if I change the quantity field later, the final total price is not updated.

I have a site that writes a checkout table/cart from one window to another. Just to be current I've decided to allow the customer to change the quantity of the item ordered by putting an input type text in each rows 'quantity' column. The idea is that they can change the number of that rows particular item they wish to order. The onchange of the input element should multiply the new 'quantity' value by the 'cost' innerHTML of the cost column and then set the 'subtotal' innerHTML in the footer row to match. An 'onmouseover' changes the 'rowsubtotal' to match the footer 'subtotal' innerHTML. Unfortunatley the 'qtymultipl()' function called by input onchange only results with 'onmouseover' changing the 'rowsubtotal' and footer 'subtotal' to 0.00.

getting dynamic rows inputs to multiply 'onchange' of the value in the input in each row. It works in the first row inserted no matter what rowindex that row is moved to. All following rows only accept the initial input value and never change the 'cost' innerHTML of the colRow[i]. I figure I need a parentNode.parentNode syntax to make this function work in all rows.

I have a form that collects information about up to 5 items. I would
like the user to be able to select from a drop down menu how many items
for which they want to compare information, and then have the form
change the number of input fields accordingly.
In other words, if the user selects enter info for 3 items, then input
fields for only 3 items are shown, if they change it to 4 items, then a
fourth column shows up in the table with the appropriate input fields.

I have found a lot but so far all of them add an input field but I desperatly need a textarea or ideally a section of input fields.
I have tried to change the code from input to text area but none of them worked.

What I am trying to do is a page where the user will add their employees details so we can order business cards for them. So I have fileds such as, Name, Tel Num, Email, Cell etc.
There are two input fields in a form, but only one of them is required, they are not required at the same time. Either A or B is required. ( A is required OR B is required). In other words, a user can input data to field A, or he can input data to filed B, but he can not input data to Both A and B at the same time. I created a simple shopping cart using php and the PayPal buttons (1: buy now, 2: add to cart). The php back end does it great, it generates the table and the buttons and everything works just like it’s supposed to; Except, I forgot to add sizes. So I found out what I need to add, and I realize that the way the buttons work, I will have two different text boxes for size. Not very visually appealing, and since I’m not submitting this to the server before it goes to PayPal to pay, I cannot modify it with php the way I normally would. jQuery / javascript are my only hope of making this work. I got this far, and then decided to find how to insert the "enteredVALUE" into the right place in the input text field (what I called output) and I've not been able to figure out how to stuff it in there.

Firstly I would like the "http://" to automatically appear in input one and two and it can't be edited or removed. Then whatever is typed in input one, I would like it to automatically copy into input 2, and the user can't delete whats in input 2 without going through input 1. Then lastly the user can add data into input 2, without input 1 changing.

With the two files (jquery.galleriffic.js and jquery.opacityrollover.js) deactivated the input text fields allo space char again. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on a form where users enter a Start Date and an End Date via a pop up calendar using JavaScript. This works well. From the results of that data, I need to
1) Calculate the number of days + 1;
2) Multiply #1 by $25 to get the amount allocated for meals - and I need it done dynamically.
Now, I can get this to work using onblur in the two input fields for the dates, but that means users would have to put the focus within the input fields after they've done the calendars and tab or click else where in order for the values to take effect and the javascript to calculate the correct values for meal. It was suggested to try to use jquery, which I have been trying to no avail and I'm just wondering if I am doing this wrong. I thought .trigger or .triggerHandle would do it, but nothing seems to happen.

I've tried just using a simple if/then statement within my javascript that calculates the values, but it doesn't launch automatically, which is my problem, and it should launch immediate after the "End Date" variable has been entered. Everything else works.
I am using the $(load) function to populate a div in my HTML with form. The code snippets look something like this.
