JQuery :: Put Three Input Fields On One Row Before Going To The Next?
Jan 15, 2010
I have a form where a user will enter in the number of input fields they need (lets call them offices) and when they click the submit button a jQuery function appends the rows to a plain html table. This works fine, except I do not want the rows to be only vertical or horizontal. I want it to put three input fields on one row before going to the next. Here is the code I have:
//This function is for adding rows to the offices table
function addOfficeRows() {
var i = 0;
I have a pretty basic set of things I want to do: Capture key press, compare against an allowed list, block keys that are not in that list, replace a space by a dash if entered. As this is happening, I have a span I wanted to be updated with the live values. The username field at [URL] is exactly what I am trying to do, though I have trouble dissecting how they did it. Here is my attempt, which is off by one keypress for some reason.
I have been looking for the past 2 days for a script that I can add and delete table rows.
I have found a lot but so far all of them add an input field but I desperatly need a textarea or ideally a section of input fields.
I have tried to change the code from input to text area but none of them worked.
Have you come across to a similar script.
I would appreciate any contributions.
What I am trying to do is a page where the user will add their employees details so we can order business cards for them. So I have fileds such as, Name, Tel Num, Email, Cell etc.
There are two input fields in a form, but only one of them is required, they are not required at the same time. Either A or B is required. ( A is required OR B is required). In other words, a user can input data to field A, or he can input data to filed B, but he can not input data to Both A and B at the same time. How to implement this constraint in Jquery form validation?
I am having a form with two input fields. I want to enter some text in the first input field and then the second field should get the same text. Is there a simple way (maybe a plugin) to do this with jQuery? It would be perfect if I even could output all these input fields values as normal text in <p> or <li> tags.
I have a problem created by my complete [rookie] status – only second time venturing into jQuery. I created a simple shopping cart using php and the PayPal buttons (1: buy now, 2: add to cart). The php back end does it great, it generates the table and the buttons and everything works just like it’s supposed to; Except, I forgot to add sizes. So I found out what I need to add, and I realize that the way the buttons work, I will have two different text boxes for size. Not very visually appealing, and since I’m not submitting this to the server before it goes to PayPal to pay, I cannot modify it with php the way I normally would. jQuery / javascript are my only hope of making this work. What I want to do:Have a single textbox where [size] is entered by the user.
Copy the value from the [correct] text box to the Value=”” section of the now hidden field in the PayPal form That way, no matter whether they [BUY NOW] or [ADD to CART] the right size is submitted to the PayPal shopping cart. This is the actual PayPal code that I’m trying to change
I got this far, and then decided to find how to insert the "enteredVALUE" into the right place in the input text field (what I called output) and I've not been able to figure out how to stuff it in there.
I have 2 input fields. Input 1: Website URL Input 2: Website Directory
Firstly I would like the "http://" to automatically appear in input one and two and it can't be edited or removed. Then whatever is typed in input one, I would like it to automatically copy into input 2, and the user can't delete whats in input 2 without going through input 1. Then lastly the user can add data into input 2, without input 1 changing.
Here is an example: Red = Can't be deleted Green = Can be changed Blue = additional text to input 2 Input 1: http://www.yourwebsite.com/ Input 2: http://www.yourwebsite.com/extra/directory How to do this?
How would I use cluetip to display a tip besides the input field when the focus is on that field? I haven't seen any examples or demos on how to do that. Does that work or do I have to use some other tool?
I have the date picker working grand on an input field, what I need to do is submit the value to two different input fields in two different formats, so a textbox and a hidden field, the textbox has the long format which is what I'm currently using bu tI need the hidden field to have the value like '2011-02-01'.
I have three input fields as UNITPRICE & UNITQUANTITY and TOTALPRICE. UNITPRICE's value depends on a product chosen in the preceding tab. Now, I want UNITPRICE & UNITQUANTITY fields multiplied and result shown on TOTALPRICE input field. How can I do it?
I am using jquery.validate.js. I am having 2 input fields. The condition is the second input value should not be less than first input value. The second condition is the first input value should not be greater than 2nd value. I tried with different options but it didnt work. Is there any jquery function for this validation? Or pl
I have a slideshow using jquery.galleriffic.js and jquery.opacityrollover.js, with the slideshow activated, all the input text fields don't allow space char or the use of the arrows left and right. With the two files (jquery.galleriffic.js and jquery.opacityrollover.js) deactivated the input text fields allo space char again. I'm sure there is some conflict between the two javascript, how can I found out which code is the reason of the conflict?
I am working on a form where users enter a Start Date and an End Date via a pop up calendar using JavaScript. This works well. From the results of that data, I need to 1) Calculate the number of days + 1; 2) Multiply #1 by $25 to get the amount allocated for meals - and I need it done dynamically.
Now, I can get this to work using onblur in the two input fields for the dates, but that means users would have to put the focus within the input fields after they've done the calendars and tab or click else where in order for the values to take effect and the javascript to calculate the correct values for meal. It was suggested to try to use jquery, which I have been trying to no avail and I'm just wondering if I am doing this wrong. I thought .trigger or .triggerHandle would do it, but nothing seems to happen.
Here's my script I'm trying to use to activate these scripts: <script type="text/javascript"> $("#en_date").blur(function() { $("#input25").triggerHandler("blur");}); $("#input25").blur(function() { $("#en_date").trigger("blur"); } </script>
My input fields have this: <br /><b>* Start date - </b> <input type="text" id="st_date" name="st_date" maxlength="25" size="25" value="<?php echo $st_date; ?>" onblur="cal7();" /> <a href="#" onClick="cal13.select(document.forms[0].st_date,'st_date','yyyy-MM-dd'); return false;" TITLE="cal13.select(document.forms[0].st_date,'st_date','yyyy-MM-dd'); return false;" NAME="st_date" ID="st_date"> <img src="images/cal.gif" border="0" width="16" height="16" alt="Pick a date" /> </a><br /> <b>* End date - </b> .....
The End Date is tied to the Start Date, as you can tell above. For the calendar, I am making it launch with this command: <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" ID="js13"> var cal13 = new CalendarPopup(); </SCRIPT> I've tried just using a simple if/then statement within my javascript that calculates the values, but it doesn't launch automatically, which is my problem, and it should launch immediate after the "End Date" variable has been entered. Everything else works.
I am using the $(load) function to populate a div in my HTML with form. The code snippets look something like this. <html> ... ... <div id="formArea"></div> ... ... </html> $('#formArea').load('content/myForm.txt'); The form loads fine, but the input controls no longer work once the form is loaded using this AJAX technique.
I pull product price from another page. Then I multiply it with quantity entered in the quantity input field. The problem is, if I forget to enter quantity value before I pull product information or if I change the quantity field later, the final total price is not updated.
How can I use JQuery to, when clicking a row of data in a table, take that row (consisting of three columns) and populate three different input fields with it?
I am having some jQuery troubles whereby I have some jQuery that toggles an 'Other' HTML input field and associated label when a user selects the value Other from a HTML select drop down. I have this working for one field but the application I am building has increased in scope whereby there may be multiple instances of members on one page so the Other option will be there multiple times. At the moment if a user selects Other from one drop down all Other input fields show. How do I make this exclusive without repeating the jQuery for the separate instances?
Now what do I write in this iteration loop to first get the text from the FIRST name and age box, in the first <table> (so I can work with tem). And in the next iteration loop get the SECOND <table>s input fields text values?
For example I have this sort code: for ($i=0;$i<$db;$i++) { $t1="toggleh$i"; echo "<div class='c'>Test<input name='$t1' type='image' id='$t1' src='test.png'/></div> <br>"; } I try to make clear the screen for users, so I use hide & show to hide some row on screen what users actually don't need...
The JS part of code is something like this: $('#toggleh0').click( function() { $('div.showhide').toggle(400); }); $('#toggleh1').click( function() { $('div.showhide').toggle(400); }); $('#toggleh3').click( function() { $('div.showhide').toggle(400); }); . . . I dont know how can do this dynamic. So if "$i=6;" then I need toggle 0-6 function...
I am not new to jQuery but I just want to ask the best way to approach this. Basically I have a textfield in which the user is going to type in a number (for example 20) and after this textfield lose focus jQuery will be triggered to create whatever number of textfields the user put before (in this case 20).
So, to illustrate: How many users do you have: [ 2 ](and after the field above lose focus, the below will be generated)
I'm using thisjQuery validationEnginebut I'm having a problem validating input fields which are transformed usingJonathan Leighton's datepicker. I need to validate that two dates are the same, so i have a custom callback (validateDOB) to check this. When I run this callback in the firebug console it correctly tests the values against each other, but the callback isn't triggered with the validation engine. I am not sure if i am missing something obvious here. This is the order I load my js files, then my instantiation calls and the callback (see below).
