Can anyone show a script (i.e. javascript) that does just that or care for a example?
I need to create a form that expands or collapses with more or less fields to fill in when the user selects or deselects a check box on it. This form also needs to be secure. What is the best way to accomplish this?

What I am trying to do is a page where the user will add their employees details so we can order business cards for them. So I have fileds such as, Name, Tel Num, Email, Cell etc.
I have a form that has a reset button, and when it's closed, the form is reset. However, at least in testing on my own machine, I notice that the form fields are remembering past input (on Firefox 4 anyway). Once this goes public, I don't want the form remembering anything in case the website is viewed on a public machine. How can I keep the form fields from remembering any past input?

I'm trying to change the color of the labels according to what input field is wrong. It seems to loop through and keep my labels black. It shows the email red for a millisecond though.
I have one form on a page with 'n' text input fields grouped in blocks of the same input fields. Something like this:

The number of fields for each block varies because the page is constructed by a server function. What I want to implement is move up and a move down buttons on each block to move what the user has entered in say, block 4, to block 3 (and move the block 3 contents to block 4). And the contrary too.

I've created a admin center, that has two seperate login permissions. Admin which can edit listings, etc... and Viewer which can only view listings, and edit 1 or 2 of the listings details and not all of them like the admin. I've seen web-sites where certain text input fields are sort of Grayed out, not allowing for user to type, click in or change anything in that field. Sort of like the html text input field has been or is disabled. How can I get certain html text input fields to appear disabled, and the text that's inside un-editable or unchange-able?

like the user to be able to select from a drop down menu how many items
for which they want to compare information, and then have the form
change the number of input fields accordingly.
In other words, if the user selects enter info for 3 items, then input
fields for only 3 items are shown, if they change it to 4 items, then a
fourth column shows up in the table with the appropriate input fields.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI made this function to duplicate form elements with a little html-code surrounding the input fields. First i clone the html of the first child found (always gets rendered by php). Then, everytime the add-button is pushed, i append a cloned piece of that stored html. It's working fine except for the delete button.
It's seems that whenever a cloned html is removed, the other cloned elements aren't recognized anymore by the delete buttons (although the delete buttons are in them)
I have difficulties placing a menu over a select box. Whenever a menu item pops up over a select box, it's not rendered right above the select box. The menu will not appear over select box which splits up into two parts: one part with items above the select box and a second part will all remaining items below the select box.
It works in netscape,but not in "IE".
i hv tried to add the specific z-index, but still fail to display in IE.
some people use <display:none> to make the select box disappear.
However it will look strange if the select box is bigger than the menu.

My question is if there is a way to add a input field on my website where people will type their email and then press "GO" or "submit" and they will be directed to another website and their email they enterd will automatically be displayd on that websites email submission. and if its possible that it would press the submit button on that page as well directly. cant find any tutorial on this on html or java,
View 6 Replies View RelatedI cant find an example for this, but I'm sure people will know what I mean. Imagine a form on a page, the user hits submit, but a new page does not load, instead a "busy" graphic displays, then disappears and then the results of the input are displayed.
Does anybody have a link to a tutorial or an example of this kind of feature? Or even a few google keywords to search for would be cool also.
Years ago I used to have a Javscript Dropdown Menu. When an option was selected whatever was in the Value="text here" would be displayed in either a <input> or <textarea>. I have looked all over and can't locate such a script. This type of setup is great for FAQs in chats and in forums.

I have a pretty basic set of things I want to do: Capture key press, compare against an allowed list, block keys that are not in that list, replace a space by a dash if entered. As this is happening, I have a span I wanted to be updated with the live values. The username field at [URL] is exactly what I am trying to do, though I have trouble dissecting how they did it.
