to post these values to the server? E.g. attach them to the posted form?

Jul 13, 2011I am having no luck with my post form to mysql. It is only posting the first letter of the word/phrase for the text input fields to the mysql database. It is a photo and text post form. The photo and only first letter of text are posting to database. I am using Jqtouch, jquery, and phonegap.

Posting Form After Fields Has Been Checked
Sep 8, 2011I have a form that would create a post -- everything looks great but my method is post(which is what I want). When I click the submit button, I want to check the form then post, if all fields are cleared for take off. If I have <input type="submit" then regardless of the outcome of my jscript, the form calls the php script that i have listed but if I have <input type="button" then after the script is run and confirms the fields for me, the post doesn't take. Basically, I think what I have to do here is POST with my jscript but I can't seem to figure out how. Am I way off base here or what?

In other words, a user can input data to field A, or he can input data to filed B, but he can not input data to Both A and B at the same time. I have found a lot but so far all of them add an input field but I desperatly need a textarea or ideally a section of input fields.
I have tried to change the code from input to text area but none of them worked.

Jun 17, 2011I have a form that has a reset button, and when it's closed, the form is reset. However, at least in testing on my own machine, I notice that the form fields are remembering past input (on Firefox 4 anyway). Once this goes public, I don't want the form remembering anything in case the website is viewed on a public machine. How can I keep the form fields from remembering any past input?

I'm trying to change the color of the labels according to what input field is wrong. It seems to loop through and keep my labels black. It shows the email red for a millisecond though.

Feb 27, 2007I have one form on a page with 'n' text input fields grouped in blocks of the same input fields. Something like this:

The number of fields for each block varies because the page is constructed by a server function. What I want to implement is move up and a move down buttons on each block to move what the user has entered in say, block 4, to block 3 (and move the block 3 contents to block 4). And the contrary too.

Admin which can edit listings, etc... and Viewer which can only view listings, and edit 1 or 2 of the listings details and not all of them like the admin. I've seen web-sites where certain text input fields are sort of Grayed out, not allowing for user to type, click in or change anything in that field. Sort of like the html text input field has been or is disabled. How can I get certain html text input fields to appear disabled, and the text that's inside un-editable or unchange-able?

Jan 28, 2011I made this function to duplicate form elements with a little html-code surrounding the input fields. First i clone the html of the first child found (always gets rendered by php). Then, everytime the add-button is pushed, i append a cloned piece of that stored html. It's working fine except for the delete button.
It's seems that whenever a cloned html is removed, the other cloned elements aren't recognized anymore by the delete buttons (although the delete buttons are in them)
Form Posting To Itself Wipes Out Dom Modification When Redrawing Form
Jan 16, 2011I have a webpage with a form inside it. Below the form is a div. When you submit the form it executes some javascript that adds a bunch of html to the div. I can step through the code in the Chrome debugger and see my dom changes are there, but disappear as I get to the original tags in the page. Is there anyway to prevent this?

Posting Form Variables
Nov 21, 2006I have a table with dynamic html that contains drop down select lists
and readonly text boxes. Dynamic calculations are done on change of a
value in one of the drop down select lists.
For my first iteration the script works fine ( indicating that there
are 33 form variables ). When trying another dropdown select value, the
form elements.length is shown as 33 ( as about ) BUT the script then
crashes with a 'null value' error. I cannot access any of the form
variables - this works in all other browsers and platforms.

Random Number Changes Twice While Posting Form?
Aug 4, 2011I have a form and select menus. I am posting it ajax post method and loading the same page with load method as you see in codes. There is a random number genarator. I want to change this random number once a click submit. If i do not load the same page this number does not change. Therefore I use both post and load methods like in demo. However when i do like this there is a problem which is random number have been generated twice somtimes. If you click submit button successively you will see that the number on left top corner sometimes changes twice a click. Why it is so and how can i correct it.

Dynamically POSTing Different Form Values?
Dec 15, 2009I am making a small image annotation tool for research purpose. I have many images shown to a <user> and the person has to click on the image to enter further information about the image.
I would like to POST information about the <user> which is same for all images and also some fields containing the image information to php page containing next level of processing (the page is again same for all image and takes the user and image information as POSTed information).
So I was wondering if there could be a javascript function which i can put like onclick=submitform(imgname, imgA etc.) which submits a FORM with user information (same for all images hence not passed) and image information (strings containing info abt the images e.g. name, quality rating etc.) fields to another php page.
I could put forms for each image but I am dealing with hundreds of images here.
