I need a simple javascript that I can use in my HOME page.index.html has a flash animationnoflash.html is a page without flash animationKindle does not support Flash and therefore i want to redirect my index.html to noflash.html page.
Doing my own fitness bootcamp site and want to fancy up my front page. My front page loads a picture and I want it to load like flash. What could I do? I have all the Adobe Software, just don't know how to use it.
I work for a company called Best of the Best (www.botb.com). We use Flash countdown clocks to mark the end of our competitions. The issue we now have is that our clients are using mobile platforms more and more and as bloody Apple wont support flash (not fully anyway) we need the option to detect whether our users have flash and if not then replace the current <OBJECT>Blah Blah Parameters etc</OBJECT> with <DIVCLASS="NON_FLASH_CONTAINER">All other bits in middle</DIV>Is this at all possible?
I'm trying to put some code together to create an image-swapping system, that when you click on the image it'll hide the image and replace it with a given iframe vimeo/youtube code...The swapping part works fine, however when the iframe loads up, it hides all other flash objects in the page, and I can't figure out why. Here's the JS
Code: function swapvideo(w,h,url) { document.getElementById('video_pholder').style.display='none';
We all know AC_OETags.js.URL like: [URL]How to make flash detection in variable with valu true or false if it is (not) detected to use in PHP applications?
I have created no flash pages and flash pages, but instead of creating a portal at the front of the site that leads you to a flash site and a no flash site id like to do it so the page detects flash or not, and redirects to whichever URL.
Is this possible, or do multiple browsers cause problems ?
I am trying to use JMedia plugin [URL]... This works excellently, however I am finding problems mapping mp4 to play with my flash video player. I am using this video player [URL]...I am using following command in document ready function to map my mp4 with flash.
I've been using the Jquery Flash Plugin by Luke Lutman [url], and so far it's been great. However, I've run into a little problem.
I need to create a flash overlay on a page that covers the entire width and height, and as a result I need to set the width and height to 100%, but the plugin only seems to accept pixel based values. So does anyone know how I'd achieve this using the current plugin? Unfortunately changing the flash embed method isn't really an option at this point.
I have created a transparent flash video (virtual spokesperson) for my website. For demoing purposes, I would like to have this appear on any desired website.
This is what I am trying to produce - here a virtual spokesperson appears on the [url]website: [url]
Have a look at other sites which enable one to type in a URL and their demo virtual spokesperson appears on the given site: [url] [url]
I believe they do this within an iframe to display the underlying website.
I'm looking for websites that do Flash-like things but without using Flash, only with Javascript/ajax.
I'm not looking for a particular effect, I just want examples of sites that have the coolness and eye-catching factor that Flash can have - know what I mean?
I am using a nice little jquery image slider. Mostly working well - but when any of the pages load -all of the images in the viewer briefly flash down the page on page load. this won't work. Here is a link to the issue:[URL]... Is this an image preloading issue? I have a preloader script in there - but not sure if it is working as it should.
I have a list of names of flash files. On clicking anyone of them, flash file(.swf) whose path is know should play on the same webpage, on the right side of the list I know the code to play swf file. But here the file name has to be passed and what i need is to pass the file name at runtime depending on the link clicked.
This is what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to load a flash movie transparently over my existing html page (not covering the full screen, but 75% of it), so it is kind of similar to a "splash screen" in the respect it is to be an introductory screen.
I already have a flash movie made (although for some reason WMODE=TRANSPARENT isn't working), but we'll get to that in a sec. I also already have all the html for the playing the movie and displaying my page. The html to display the page is made up of a bunch of table rows within a <DIV> tag.
During onLoad of the <body> element, I call a javascript method to actually play the flash. The flash does play, but what happens is that instead of playing on top of the existing page, it plays at the top of the page and if you scroll down, there is the rest of the html page (the tables and stuff). I dont want it at the top, but to actually overlay the tables until it finishes playing, then to go away automatically.
I'm struggling with the html part of this. I know browsers render from top to bottom, but I dont know how to display over the existing stuff.
I toyed with the idea of making the flash into a popup in a new window (window.open), but to make it look right, I'd have to make it a transparent window, borderless, etc... and I'm not sure thats the right way to do it either.
I have checked the similiar questions and tried putting overflow on the ui.dialog class but the flash on the page is still being shown when the dialog is opened. My jquery skills are not good at all, how can I hide the flash?
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes anyway. My QT animation has sound that goes with it and needs to be timed accurately. Anyone have any ideas what I can use and able to have it play on most browsers, mobile, etc?Just to make it a little more difficult, I need to place the animation as an overlay on top of other page elements.Flash would be a solution, but I don't want to make into flash because it won't work on iOS..This is a simple animation of stick figures and no background. If I didn't need sound I would just elect to go with a gif format which would have worked perfectly in this case.
I'm just the jquery.media plugin. With multiple players being used for each mp3 link. Is there a way I can setup a jquery call that knows to pause (or stop) all other players once a user click on a new player?
I've almost finished employing the jQuery Accordian and Tabs UI functions on a website, but still have one remaining problem.I have a page using the UI tabs. When the page first loads the content of all the tabs flashes for a second or two and then the selected tab is displayed. After that the tabs work great with smooth transitions as expected.
The tabs on page load are filled with php include calls. Then I use ajax to refill the tabs base upon the users selections. That works fine without the load flashing of all tab contents. I did try switching all the php includes to jQuery ajax. The resulting page had the same problem with the content of all tabs flashing before the selected tab displayed. Here's some of my code:In the head:
Is my code the problem or is there something I'm leaving out that would hide the copy of the tabs loading until the document is ready and selects the first tab (index 0)?
the situation: I'm building a web page, and the client wants to have three flash galleries on staggered timing (i.e., the first one loads and runs, 4 seconds later the second loads and runs, 4 seconds later, third one loads and runs).
I've been trying to figure out how to use Javascript to handle the initial delay between each object, and the best I can figure is to use an onLoad to start the first flash (Flash1), and then call out a function with setTimeout to start Flash2 4 seconds after Flash1 loads, and the same thing for Flash3. However, my attempts thus far have failed, and all three load up at the same time.
on the top of the page with the pictures scrolling with news and links inside of them without using flash. like with ajax or something? and if it can be done... how would i go about it?
I have a very strange issue which happens only on the Mac/Firefox 2 (and 3 I believe) : [URL] The top left logo (ball) is a simple flash 'spin' animation, that is activated using javascript via the navigation (onmouseover effect). This works fine on Windows - Firefox, IE and Mac - Safari. However on Mac/Firefox, the logo ball on page load simply DOES NOT APPEAR. However, when you simply SCROLL down or if you move your mouse over the navigation (which calls the flash), then the logo appears. Basically, it's really odd because the logo ball is there, but Mac/Firefox does not show it until you do something to the page, like scroll.
I try to use the malsup form Plugin. When I validate a checkbox i get an alert when it is unchecked, but when it is checked it dont go to the next page. Code overview: [URL] Page: [URL]
I've seen websites that had large flash ads that covered content on pages that, after they had run, resized or disappeared.
We would like to use the technology behind that (presumably JavaScript) to show and hide an intro flash on a home page. We would like to have a "close" link on the flash also.
I have searched Google and here but haven't found any good resources and many of the sites I have seen using the technology are no longer using them. I just need a little assistance on the JavaScript part of the puzzle.
We want the flash to start over the copy on the page and then roll out softly when it's done playing, revealing the content below. Code:
I have the a hovering div, within that div i have settings that people can change, but for some reason there needs to be a smal flash animation with a continual sound clip. When a user clicks close the hovering div should be removed from the domtree thus removing the div and the flash movie.
In FF this works fine.
In IE it also works, in that the div is deleted, but for somereason the sound continues to play on the page. Even though the flash element doesnt exist. Have done a document.getElementById(flashmovie) to determine if its there.
I am removing the node from the tree using document.body.removeChild(hoveringdiv); where hoveringdiv is the element itself.
Now as you can imagine the continuous sound is an annoyance. How do i stop flash playing, and hence remove the sound, or how do i mute the flash. Is this possible in Javascript? I cant access the swf or actionscript.
Also if this isnt possible can someone point me to where i can learn about how IE handles sound within a webpage so i can see if there is some pointers in there.
I need a map that pop up pictures when the mouse is over a specific area. I was wondering if java would be the way to go if I wanted to do this without flash. If so should I use layers and just make them visible when the mouse is in a specific area? For multiple pics is it possible to store the images in an array and have them load on call? I'm still a student and learning so I'm not sure what limits javascripting has yet.
does anybody know how I am able to control Flash Movies from html or JavaScript? For example, I want a movie go to a specific frame each time I open the html file where it is embedded.
