I have checked the similiar questions and tried putting overflow on the ui.dialog class but the flash on the page is still being shown when the dialog is opened. My jquery skills are not good at all, how can I hide the flash?

I actually even know a great example of such an upload form: [URL] (you need to be logged into Google Docs to see this) It definitely doesn't use Flash, but the source code is so obscure and clogged that i couldn't decipher it so far. In fact, all i need is a possibility to invoke a file load dialog with the ability to select multiple files, and after they are selected, be able to fetch their absolute paths on a local PC. I'm trying to get a div, initially set invisible by CSS code, to show after form submission from another div.Somehow, it seems to me that my javascript code works for a sec before the page gets refreshed by the form action, then everything resets rendering the div invisible again.Here's my code.

I am using Jquery Superbox to open a page in an iframe in a lightwindow. My problem is that Google will index and link to them individually. If people land on them they don't get the menu and stuff... But they should redirect to my original page if you land on them. And there open the lightwindow and then load the requested page in the iframe.
I allready found a script here that will redirect the pages and display them (if there would be an iframe in my page from the start). But I don't know how I can open the lightwindow first and then open the page in the iframe.

What I would like to do is close this window as soon as other pages load. Suppose user clicks a menu and that load a new page. But I would like to close the child window after the 2nd page load. Is it possible to close the window in the second page with the name (using the same java script, or may be use another java script)?
I'm not sure whether or not this is possible, but I want to have control over the Javascript function that is called when a target web page is opened (ie as the onload function in its <body> tag). In other words, the calling page will have several <a href ...> tags referencing the same page, each specifying a different onload function. When the user has written so much text that the text overflows I want add a new div above and let flow the overflown text in the other div. (it's the some behavior like MS Word in page view, but now it is in the web)
It is possible to do something like this in the web?
One way to implement this is to check if the text of the div overflows (I've found java script examples in the web which do that). And than I need the text that overflows to move it to the next div. But I have not found a function that do this. Is there such a function?
Another way is to insert a gap at that position a new page begins and use an background image that looks like a page border. With this solution, the whole text is in one div but it looks like floating to another page. But therefore, I have to add a gap between to lines at a specific position (the page border/margin and the gab between the pages). Does anyone have an idea how to realize this?
I am using a nice little jquery image slider. Mostly working well - but when any of the pages load -all of the images in the viewer briefly flash down the page on page load. this won't work. Now, If I have opened my main page and scrool down to page and at the end there is a link for opening dialog, then the dialog opens to current window position and page is scrolled up to top. Now dialog has been opened but it is too below that I cant see it. I have tested that when we scroll down the jquery function takes the scrooled position as its top position and so opening popup for that relative position.

Have a web app which consists of a form and have it set up to launch a dialog box containing information next to the subject label text field.Everytime, someone fills out the form and clicks on submit, the form's message body (from the text area of the form) is displayed on top and theform is displayed underneath it. Before, I had it set up as fixed (x,y) for the dialog box to appear next to the subject label. But, now, whenthe page becomes longer, the dialog box doesn't appear next to my subject label text field. It is displayed a lot lower.

Clicking "search" within the dialog box results in opening up a second dialog box. But this only works the first time I click on "more search options". In other words, the second dialog box only opens up only once. To get the second dialog to open again, I have to reload the page in the browser.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've almost finished employing the jQuery Accordian and Tabs UI functions on a website, but still have one remaining problem.I have a page using the UI tabs. When the page first loads the content of all the tabs flashes for a second or two and then the selected tab is displayed. After that the tabs work great with smooth transitions as expected.
The tabs on page load are filled with php include calls. Then I use ajax to refill the tabs base upon the users selections. That works fine without the load flashing of all tab contents. I did try switching all the php includes to jQuery ajax. The resulting page had the same problem with the content of all tabs flashing before the selected tab displayed.Here's some of my code:In the head:

this page they see *nothing*, Except for a dialog box pop, the box says:
"are you sure?" Yes/No. If user clicks yes they see the rest of the page
- (just some simple html). Else no, they might see a message that says
