Drop Down List Value Returned On Submit Button Being Clicked?

I have a drop down selection box with items in it. I need to be able to pass the selected item through using an onclick event for the "Submit" button. Is this possible?
I have a Javascript that is calling a div to popup. This div is the drop down selector. I want the user to click a button to make the drop down appear, then they must select an item in the list and then hit submit. The submit button being clicked I need to bring in the selected value from the drop down and use it in the script that originally told the div to pop up (this is the first button that the user clicks, it actually runs the script which passes 2 variables, and is basically waiting on the drop down selection to save into a 3rd variable, which will then call a PageMethod).

I am making a webpage that can query a database table of employees and return them in a html table. Currently I have submit buttons beside each employee to open the page to edit their details. I have been using php/HTML to do this, but wondered if it is safe to use javascript to just click on the name of the employee to jump to the edit page. I've been looking on the web for sometime about how to do this without any luck. Any thoughts?
In the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. My question is how can I accomplish this?Here is my code:

I have a submit-event attached to my form. The form contains a few different submit-buttons and I wan't to chech which one of them that triggered the submit. Shouldn't be to hard but i can't find out how to do it.

And there is a tonne of javascript on the Fastmail Site here: [URL] I think it's something to do with the 'disableonsubmit' function, but when I tried to separate out that part of the JS into a test page myself, I can't get it to work. I wondered if anyone might be able to advise about the core JS elements that make this functionality work?
I'm trying to integrate a scroll button that scrolls down an unordered list by a certain amount when clicked. To be more specific, I already have the list in a scrollable box, but I need to know how to make a div or image that when clicked, executes the function that scrolls the list down.
I've created a form with combobox with different values (this is for my website). What I want is when the user clicks 'submit' that it goes to a different page on the website depending on the value the person has selected in the combobox. Values are numerical, for example 1000, 2000, 5000 etc. I've been trying this for a couple of days now without success!

I am trying to create a drop down list which depend to the value selected from the previous drop down list. I can add it without problem, but If I change again the value of the first drop down list I would like to remove the previous drop down list generated from the first value. If I try to remove it when I create the element, it even does not create the element, the remove element function seems to work because when you click on the remove link it works.

I have a form formABC that has a textbox plus a button. On clicking the button, window.open() a popup window for user to select a value. The value will then be passed back to formABC's textbox.
Now I want formABC to submit itself *AFTER* the textbox got a value. How could I do it?
I have a form that submits to a third party WCF service. When the form submits it returns html. Based on that html I need my ajax submit to fire a success function according to the reply. How would I write a success function if the SuccessFlag returns a TRUE in that td? I have a form that I am using to generate an email with several user selected fields being part of it. As part of this form, I have a select box which allows the user to select which email addresses it should be sent to. The box works great except that the CGI script I'm sending the values to can only parse a single line for each field in the form. The issue comes into play when someone selects more than one value in the select box, the output of the select box seems to separate each value on a separate line using a line feed (or carriage return, I can't tell). The format that the CGI script needs is for a single line with each of these values separated by a comma. I'm confident that a javascript can do this fairly easily, but unfortunately, I am not very well versed in javascript. I've found a few code snippets on the web that I've mangled together, but since I don't really know what I'm doing, it isn't working out so good. I have a table that has parts with multiple characteristics. Part Number, Height, Width, Capacity, Price, Etc. I would like to have a drop downs for all of these values, when a user selects one of these values it will filter the results into a list. Ex. user selects a part that has a Height of 6 and width of 10 it will only list those parts. As I said earlier, I have a script that will give me all the parts, however I am not able to make the onchange list parts with multiple values.
I have a page that displays a list of people playing in a tournament. I need to be able to generate a Leaderboard based on which players are manually selected by the admin. Next to each person there is a drop-down list. An admin can go in and select a "slot" that a player should be in on the leader board from 1 to 8, or leave it blank if none. What I need to figure out how to do is the following, when a change event happens on a drop-down list, and say the value 5 is selected, I need to check to make sure that 5 is not already selected in one of the other players drop-down lists, in other words, that the 5th leaderboard slot is not already full. if it is, display an error message and make them change that one first. how to do that with jQuery? I'm thinking it will have something to do with the each() function, but not sure exactly how the logic should work.
I have been struggling on a bit of code for a while now. I need to populate a second drop down list (Region) based upon the selection of the first (County).I have found a piece of code that works on its own and have adapted to suit my needs - see below. However, when I drop it into my main page the javascript is not working. It's because of the formObject but I just don't know enough to resolve this! Furthermore, I need the textboxes the user has already completed in the form to retain their value once the javascript kicks in as the completed form will submit to a database.This piece of code is working well . . . .

While using jQuery, I found that I needed to know how many records were returned and also if the result set returned was empty. After searching the jQuery documentation I couldn't find any property or method that returned this value, so I've added that functionality myself and wanted to share it with the group.
1) Determine the number of records returned: I wanted to show the user how many results were returned after they start typing into the autocomplete field similar to how Google indicates the number of results found when you start typing in the search box. At first I thought the max parameter in the function formatItem returned this value. However, it returns the max option that you set it to. So if your query returns 100 records and you set max to 25, it'll obviously return 25 (not what I wanted).So after trying various things, I looked at the jQuery code and simply added the number of records returned by the database to the formateItem function. In the fillList() function around line 660 I added the data.length parameter:

but this has not worked. the latter showed that jquery is inserted in the index. the main page that calls the button. jquery in a home can act on an ID loaded from another file with ajax?
