Allows To Select 2 Buttons And Comes Up With Alert If More Buttons Clicked
Dec 9, 2011What happens is the user selects the number of buttons depending on the number entered in the text box. If the number is 3 in the text box, then the user can only select 3 buttons, if more buttons are selected then it comes with an alert message saying user is beyond limit deselect a button to be able to choose another button.
But these are the problems I have encounted: If I type in "2" in the textbox for example, it allows me to select 2 buttons and comes up with alert if more buttons clicked.
problem 1: but if I change the figure in text box from "2" to "5", then it only allows me to select 3 buttons (I think it is adding 2 from the previous value and 3 to make the current value 5)
problem 2: If I enter a value less than current value, so in this example if I enter in 1 in the textbox which is obviously less than 2, then it lets the user select unlimited number of buttons.
So does anyone know how to fix these problems so that the amount of buttons selected matches correctly to the value in the textbox?

It is supposed be just 2 different lines of changing buttons. I was planning to use the "+" and "-" buttons to add/subtract button lights from a column. Unless I did something wrong, I think it should work, but it doesn't... Why?

Aug 22, 2010For 2 day ago, i have re-read and re-write my code in first i have very very broken code execution in web in second :, i re write the code and in previewer browser ( i use mozilla 3.6.8) its work off line, but when i have implanting in web page, its not work, in 3rd, with mr.airshow support i have rewrite and it work on web page (thanks mr. airshow) but still in my mind, again :

Oct 27, 2007I am having some difficulties getting some inline js code to run when
retrieved via AJAX by XMLHTTPRequest.
Basically I am running a php script every 15 secs or so that does a query of
a mysql database, checks to see if any new chat requests have been sent to
the user, and if so, it is simply returning them via a "echo" statement, and
the info is placed into a DIV in my sidebar.
Now when I add something in like:

it runs if i go ahed and run the script by itself, i get the chat requests
and the alert to popup. When the script is called via AJAX and loaded into
the div, I get the message from the mysql query about chat info, but no
javascript alert.
Am i just missing something stupid here? Like I said, it works when I run
the script by itself, just not when called via XMLHTTPRequest.

Jan 12, 2010I've run into a roadblock I just can't seem to get past. I'm developing a website for work (internal) and I have a lot of javascript calculations going on when someone enters data. What I want to do is to have a div apear when it begins calculating and goes away when it ends. I'm using:

It works great in firefox. The div display appropriately, calculates, then disappears when it's finished. However, in IE it seems to want to calculate everything before anything is displayed. I placed alerts in the code to be able to pause it mid way and it worked. But without alerts it just hangs while everything is being calculated and the code for the loading screen just seems to cancel itself out. I attempted to put some waits in the code such as:

Jquery :: Executing Block Of Code Every X Seconds?
Feb 24, 2010I'm working on a simple slideshow made with jQuery. What I'm trying to do now, is to make it change image every X second. I know how to change image, but i'm kind of stuck trying to find out how to make it "do something" every Xth second.
Here's an example: (obviously not working..)

However, the problem I am currently having is that the onkeyup event which calls the function works if I type the value in using my computer keyboard, but not when using the buttons (even though the buttons enter values into the textbox).

Code - White Space Surrounding The Buttons On The Left Nave Menu
May 19, 2009Ok so the problem is when I mouse over the left nav menu all is great, when I mouse over the newly created DHTML menu in the middle the seperators(black before mouse over of the DHTML menu) disapear on the left nav menu and there is now white space surrounding the buttons on the left nave menu. IF you switch to full screen mode(F11 I think) I can see the actual graphic on the left nav menu changing and that is what is causing this, but I cant find it in the code.
I have narrowed it down to my framework.js script but no idea where it is within this code. I can post that code in here and maybe you can see what I mean and I will attach a screen shot of the problem.

Buttons Load Slowly - 10 Buttons On A Page - And 10 More "onmouseover Buttons"
Dec 28, 2009I have 10 buttons on a page, and 10 more "onmouseover buttons" that correlate to the first set. Each button or onmouseover button is only 1-2KB! But I can still hold the mouse over a button for a couple seconds until it loads the onmouseover button. I'm using javascript to have the buttons change. The page does load a 2MB video. Could that be the cause? Can I tell it to load the buttons first somehow?
