With multiple rows. Each row has a unique ID (numerical). I need to be able to click on an a.accept, find WHICH one was clicked (which row it is in), and get the ID of that row. I've been looking around and I found parent(), but I'm not sure how I can specifically get which accept link was clicked.
JQuery :: Anchor Links - Toggle Need To Clicked Twice
Feb 25, 2011I basically have many anchor links where when I click each of them it slidesdown its own div with some text in it. So have I wanted is when I click on one link it will show me the current one and hide the others. This is what I have tried which works great but when I click on a link it opens the div, then click on another one opens the div with one click and when I go back to re-click the previous link I have to double click it in order to work..

JQuery :: Ajax - Script Which Loads New Content Onto The Page When The Main Navigation Links Is Clicked
Sep 21, 2011I have an ajax script which loads new content onto the page when the main navigation links is clicked. I also have a jquery script which fades divs in and out when another subset of links are clicked.
I guess these scripts essentially do the same thing but the first basically is loading in 'pages' without the page having to refresh. The second is just fading in and out divs that are on a page.
The problem is is that the second script only seems to work once, when the page is loaded.

On the 10 minute time limit there is an event that directs the person to a page which logs them off.I am trying to create a 1 minute warning pop up alert window which I can get to work but the alert window itself halts the 10 minute countdown execution. Is there any ideas of getting the alert to sit outside of the execution of hte countdown. The script looks like this

Jan 6, 2010I have a problem I can't figure out on my own. I want to create a JS/AJAX function which counts down for exactly 10 seconds (for example), and then it performs an action - calls a .php file, and loads its content in a div element.
The main problem is - users can simply edit the JS and set the 10 second timer to 1 second, for example.
I wonder if there is a way to work this out in JS? I want the 10 seconds to be "set in stone".
I guess I could achieve similar effect by using database, and comparing the time when script started/ended.

I'm learning to write code that first asks the user to enable javascript. When they do, redirect to mypage.html
The code below renders "Please enable javascript" when javascript is turned off - as it should. The autoredirect happens when javascript is turned on - as it should. The problem is the absolute url of the "mypage.html" file in the code is also rendered as a blue link when javascript is off. I don't want that rendering when off. I do use html comment tags as you can see in the code below.

Change The Red Code To Create Links For The Relevant Records Which Works In IE?
Apr 21, 2011Below is a javascript function from my website that loops through nodes in an XML file retrieving certain information about those who joined in the current month/year. The part in red creates a link which when clicked runs a function called show() with the relevant i variable value e.g. show(2) for the second node if that is relevant. Anyway the red part works in Chrome but not Internet Explorer (surprise surprise). I did some research which says that .setattribute is not allowed in IE. How can I change the red code to create links for the relevant records which works in IE?

Creating A New Time Scale: Counts To 360 Each "day"
Jan 21, 2011I am not familiar with coding at all but I would like to create a website to display a slightly different calendar. Each year has 360 "days", and each day has 360 units. Because the years are slightly longer, I do not need to worry about leap years. My program needs to count up of one unit every 243.5 seconds(does not display seconds) until it reaches 360 of these units, when it restarts again at 1. It must count one "day" every 360 of these units. Every 360 days it must count up one year. I haven't decided what year I will begin my calendar with, or what time zone it will start from, but I can fine tune these units if I have a basic code. I would like it to be as accurate as possible, and simply show a display of years, days, and the time from 1-360 each day.

Basically, when you click a link a function is called with a parameter based on the particular link you run. Then the code runs through an xml file, and if the parent of the nodes I've cyling through has a value equal to the parameter past to the function, that node is used to create a new link with window.open function attached to it.It all works, or seems to, and when I alert what is being built, it looks right to me, yet the links don't work.I've attached a copy of one of the alerts of one of the links as it's built.
