Php Registered User Only Code - Check To See If Someone Is Logged In
Dec 6, 2010
<?php
if($_SESSION['id'])
echo '<h1>Hello, '.$_SESSION['usr'].'! You are registered and logged in!</h1>';
else echo '<h1>Please, <a href="demo.php">login</a> and come back later!</h1>';
echo 'Should i find a new login'
?>
im trying to use this as a check to see if someone is logged in
I am trying to develop a website for assigning work to colleagues. In the website I have a tab called Assigned by. I want the name of the logged in user to appear in this tab
Code: <input name="Assigned by " type="text" value="maya" id="assign" ". Instead of Maya I want the name of the user who ever is logged in. HOw can I do it?
I got a small issue and don't know where to start. What I need: I need a user to browse a certain website, and retrieve its Windows username there. What I need it for: I want to build a form on the intranet, where I will automatically fill the user's data, like his Name, Email-Adresse, Phone-Number etc. What I got:
- IIS7 with anonymous access on the whole intranet. - Active Directory - Any webdevolpment tool except PHP, but especially JavaScript, ColdFusion, ASP..
I google'd like the whole morning, but couldn't come up with a solution. Just found stuff where it says that you cannot get the user with anonymous access and stuff. So I need either confirmation of this information, or any hint where to start looking..
I have been doing google map and display the google map in my profile page. The flow of my web application is login page-> profile page I wanted to have only one marker and echo the logged in user's name and address in infowindow of the google map. However, i can only echo all users in my database and show all markers to the google map.
how to stop the browsers back button from working after a user has logged out. I tried the windows.history.forward(1); function but it either is not working for me, or I am not putting it int the right place.The logout button is on the menu.php page. The button calls the logout.php file which redirects the user to the index.php page after logout.
I am a php programmer and not a Javascript programmer and I am trying to help a friend out with his shopping cart. The original programmer (who wrote this years ago and is no longer around) has a button that looks up the quantities in the database for the submitted items, and then displays a prompt if you selected a quantity that is less than the minimum purchase amount.The issue is if the user enters a smaller amount than allowed and hits the enter key instead of the "Buy" button, it allows the order.how to use the current code to also check for an Enter key submission.I can handle the PHP and the db lookup for minimum quantities. Here is the page code and the Javascript code.
I am trying to make a gui for clients to edit a php page that displays html and javascript.
I want the user to be able to move html elements around and even edit it like add effects like fade in and out etc.
Then after all the changes I want to overwrite the existing php file that does this for that user. how can you make such changes and then save it to a file?
It's an html / javascript editor but using a gui instead of allowing them to directly touch the code. It would be a security risk if I allow such a thing. So I need to program a interface that would make such changes and save them to file.
Like how can you delete and add new javascript code to the file?
This inserts several links into my container "panorama". They look like that: <a class='poi' style='margin-top:141px; margin-left:365px;' href='#6'></a>
The problem is, that a click on those links is not registrated by my java-script code. I tried it this way:
$('a.poi').click(function(){ var hash = $(this).attr("href").substr(1); console.log(hash); if(hash)
I'm making a little CMS, and I need to use AJAX to query the DB to see if an email is already registered. Here's my code so far:
The javascript: Code: <script> function getEmail(){ var ajaxRequest; try{ ajaxRequest = new XMLHttpRequest(); } .....
I'll test it by entering javascript:alert(getEmail()) in my browser, and it returns undefined. When I replace return 'valid/taken' to alert valid/taken, it will alert the values correctly, but for some reason it has to be entered twice (I have to hit enter twice in javascript:getEmail() for it to be correctly outputted). I'm relatively new to ajax and I think it might have something to do with the readyState not being correct.
I have a case where I want to create a validator that makes use ofalready defined rules.Is it possible to somehow call <pseudocode>$.validator.rules.ruleA('value',element,null)</pseudocode>?
Not sure if I posted this in the right area since its a Javascript/PHP related problem.I have no clue how to check if a user didn't leave the site.Ofcourse you can use the Onunload() or Beforeunonload() function.But some browsers like Opera and Safari and who know what other browsers don't support it.Is there any other alternative?Like expecting server side each X seconds a AJAX request from the user?If the user doesn't send a request, the user has left.
my issue is both a php and a javascript (AJAX) one its one or the other. I have two combo boxes one dependant on the other, populated by AJAX but when I submit the form the secondary combo is not being registered as a php $_POST['var'] in the following action page. The secondary combo is contained and altered using divs and inner.HTML. Is this an expected behaviour or is my issue else where?
i installed a shout box for my users, its integrated by using session username. but what i want to do is have a username list under the shoutbox that shows which members (usernames) have the box open. that way the other members can see someone is out there to see their message.. one alternative would be to just have the shoutbox auto open (which i need to learn how to do) as soon as they sign on to the site, but what if they close it right away i still have the same issue (they cant see the message that someone is sending them) here is how i open the window now, they have to click on the link.
Is there a method to check if a user refreshed a page?
I'm designing an online psychological experiment and I want to see if the user refreshed a page (to see if he was trying to see an image that he was supposed to see only once).
i am using netbean to develop a registration form.As this i want to know what is the coding to check input of text, integer, email , so i can restrict what they input..
I need to find a way of modifying this function so it only initiates a request if there is a period of say 2 seconds of inactivity. The user inputs some text, and if they stop typing for 2 seconds, it should then fire off the request. Can someone tell me how i can check for inactivity in the #inputString field? This must involve some kind of timer, but how should it be structured?the lookup function sends the current value of inputstring to another function which posts it to the server side file which then returns the results in a box.
how to check if a user didn't leave the site.Ofcourse you can use the Onunload() or Beforeunonload() function.But some browsers like Opera and Safari and who know what other browsers don't support it. And I don't want to have false information about users still being there while they left.Is there any other alternative? Like expecting server side each X seconds a AJAX request from the user?If the user doesn't send a request, the user has left.
I have a problem. When i want to logged out from the system or close an account etc i want to display this message. " Are you sure you want to logged or something like" and "Yes and " No" buttons are there.
I currently run a website similar to digg, where users can vote on a story. What I have been using so far to create the vote buttons, are just simply links that insert a vote into a database. And if a user tries to vote again on the same story, it attempts to insert the vote into the database, (im using MySQL btw), but when it cannot, they are redirected to a page where it tells them they have already voted on the story.
Now I thinking there has to be a better way to do this, and that's when digg came to mind. Can someone please point me in the direction of a javascript tutorial/wiki etc. on creating javascript buttons that interact with a mysql database AND remember that you have voted.
As this forum has been so helpful before, this time it's a JS question:I have a list of checkboxes from which the user can select 1 or more to check and perform an action upon.Thus, all checkboxes have the same "name" (in ASP code, since it's DB-related):
response.write "<input type=checkbox name=""FieldName"" value="&obj("OrderID").value&">" I call JS using a button: <img src="images/TrashBin.png" border=0 onclick="Delete(document.FormName.FieldName)">
I'm trying to figure out with Java Script how I would have Java Script check and see if a check box is or not empty. The goal is to only allow the user to have one box checked at any time in a form. That means, if they click on another one and there is already one checked, it would uncheck the one that was checked and make the one that the person checked on next checked.
I am trying to allow a user to easily uncheck/check all checkboxes in a form by checking or unchecking a checkbox. The checkboxes would be in a form like so: <form action="" method="post"> <input type="checkbox" name="checked[]" value="1"> <input type="checkbox" name="checked[]" value="2"> <input type="checkbox" name="checked[]" value="3"> <input type="checkbox" name="checked[]" value="4"> </form>
I use an event handler to call a function: <input type="checkbox" name="checkall" onchange="checkall('checked[]', this.checked)">
And here is the function: function checkall(box_name, current_state) { all = document.getElementsByName(box_name); action = (current_state == "checked") ? "false" : "true"; for (i = 0; i < all.length; i++) { all[i].checked=action; }}
The event handler should pass the name of the checkboxes and whether the "check all" checkbox is currently checked or not to the checkall() function. Nothing happens when I check/uncheck the "check all" function.
I would like to disable a check box depending on whether 1 of 3 radio buttons is chosen by the user. As I am a js noob, I don't have any beginning code to start with.
