May 10, 2011I'm working on a site which lists a group of products and when you click on an "expand" button it loads the rest of the product details and displays the rest of the product information directly below the div that was expanded.Each product summary has a div with the id of "#moreinfo" that expands to show the product details. The link that causes the expansion is this one: ".product5 .moreinfo a".However, only the first div expands when I click any of the products. It does display the correct product info, but always after the first product.My jquery is below. How can I make it expand the correct '#moreinfo div'

Dynamic Pull Down Menu Calculator
Sep 9, 2010I have a client who requires a dynamic pull down menu (chained Select Menu) and also requires that it does a basic price estimation based on the selected options from the menus. I have been toying around with Xin Yang Chained Select Menu(Sample A1) as well as a randomly found javascript calculator(sample A2) I found through google search. When trying to combine the two the calculator becomes broken.

Mar 25, 2011I'm trying to make a calculator app; with a few differences. I have a text field with a numberpad below it, I got the numbers to show up in the text field, but am unsure as to how when I hit the enter button - it would store them in a variable?...I am also wondering as to how it would store current value and then allow me to input another value(maybe on the next page) and either subtract or add to it(the first value that is stored).I am also wondering how to get a decimal point in place(need it for currency).

Knocks Out CSS:hover - Make The Left Product Categories Background Position "rollover" Menu Work
Apr 22, 2010im trying to make the left Product Categories background position "rollover" menu work on this page: [URL] at the moment the page loads and CSS hover works to set the background position so that the graphic behind makes a roll over effect. i put some javascript to set the background position permantly to the roll over on click (so the user can see which one they are on) but then this knocks out the roll over effect on all other categories - it knocks out the CSS hover: onclick="setStyle('c1','backgroundPosition','0px 0px');
it means that c1:hover no longer works.. i tried putting !important in the CSS c1:hover background position and this fixed it in Firefox but not IE. So how can i write something in Javascript to also say: onclick="setStyle('c1:hover','backgroundPosition','-276px 0px');
i know Javascript does not do hyphens and the way to get for example "background-position" in CSS is to ditch the hyphen and make "P"osition capitol. perhaps something can be done also to get to the CSS hover attribute?

Make A Dynamic (variable # Of Rows) Spreadsheet-like Form?
May 29, 2009I'm trying to create a spreadsheet style form, where the column headers are set, but the number of editable data rows vary. The idea I have is to create a table and make its table cells editable via contentEditable='true', and use javascript to add more rows when a user clicks a button (id="addRows" -- see below).
Thus far I've put together the html for the static component of the table and I'm putting together the javascript. At this point I have a couple of questions:
1. Is there a better way to accomplish my goal? 2. How can I retrieve the data from the editable cells and group them so when I send the data via ajax, the information can be saved properly - i.e. grouped according to row?

Apr 1, 2010 I'm having trouble using the stop() function. I'm trying to make a dynamic menu using jquery library. This menu is now working pretty correctly but I can't manage the problem of multiple queued animations. My menu is made in two parts. The first one contains buttons. When they're hovered over, the second level of the menu appears just underneath. But when several buttons of the first menu are hovered over, I can't stop the second level to appear and disappear anarchically. Here is an example of code of the second menu :
