Dynamically loaded content (via JQuery's get method, for instance) seems unable to connect to a stylesheet that resides on the main page. I understand this is due to the fact that the dynamic content is not part of the DOM.

when i click on a <a> tag with class poplight this works fine. But when i add another anchor tag dynamically to my page (without a page reload, via ajax) like below...

and if i click on that anchor tag that was no placed on top of my first row it does not call the click event instead i can see the variables i tried passing through that anchor tag on my url.
any clue why this is happening.... i donot get any errors as well on firebug.
How know that for ajax call to different domain applies the same domain policy, but is there anyway to get around this using the cluetip plugin?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn a project I got stuck on this "problem". When you make a json (ajax) call. You also need a callback function. Which means I have to call the next $.getJSON within that callback function to read the next portion of data. In my opinion this is not very readable code...What I want is a nice and readable piece of code. Where you could just write it like this:
var data1 = $.getJSON(..);
var data2 =$.getJSON(..);
I've found a solution here: [URL] (explains my problem perfectly). But it's not compatible with the getJSON story. Is there already a possibility to do this with the jquery library?

I'm having trouble using the stop() function. I'm trying to make a dynamic menu using jquery library. This menu is now working pretty correctly but I can't manage the problem of multiple queued animations. My menu is made in two parts. The first one contains buttons. When they're hovered over, the second level of the menu appears just underneath. But when several buttons of the first menu are hovered over, I can't stop the second level to appear and disappear anarchically. Here is an example of code of the second menu :

i have a search icon at the top of my page, when i click this it toggles show/hide on the search form. now when the user loses focus of the search form (.blur), i want it to activate the hide part of the toggle.
when the search icon is clicked, it gives focus to the search form, so the moment the icon is clicked, the search form gains focus, then when someone clicks somewhere else on the page and the form loses focus, i want the search form to hide.
the problem is, if i just have the search form hide on .blur, then when you click the search icon and then click somewhere else and the search form loses focus, and then you click the icon to show the search form again, it will hide the search form(to the user, it looks like it didn't do anything, since the search form is already hidden). so after 2 clicks on the icon, then, it finally shows the search form again.

I'm currently working on an IE7 CSS fix for a rather large form. Long story short, I have each input wrapped in a div, all in the same class. What I need, is to have each div define a padding-right value that is equal to the width of that div. I'm fairly new to jQuery, so I'm in need of some help with the syntax. I am echoing some dynamic content into a DIV based on form entries. The content is essentially a dynamic table, with results populated based on the user input. The user can further refine the database results by entering more data into other fields. All of this works fine. What I'd like to add is the ability to click on an <a> tag header on each column to sort by that column. I haven't gotten it to work, so I wanted to try a more simple test. I currently echo <a id='test' href='#'>Click Me</a> into the DIV set aside for AJAX response. I then setup a jquery .click() event monitor to simply alert me when I click on it. If I place this <a> tag in the main portion of the content that is static, I get the alert box. But when I put this into the content of the DIV tag generated dynamically by AJAX, it doesn't fire the alert. Is there something I need to do to 'reload' the page? Is the dynamically added content not part of the document since the entire page isn't reloaded?

Elements can be picked by up/down arrow keys.To highlight the elements, I'm using a similar call to objects[focus]stop (true,true).animate({'opacity': 1}, 200);(As you can see, all DOM elements are cached)the same call goes to the element which lost the focus, with an opacity value of 0.2.Whatsoever, I noticed on testing that the performance is just fine on firefox 2/3, IE 7/8, even Safari has good results.Only exception so far is Chrome, it's terribly slow on those calls with a CPU load of 40-50%.I didn't further investigate that behavior since it still works "OK" on Chrome, but SIGNIFICANT slower.
