I created a little animation of a photo-quality little toaster revolving around a center point. I would like to create an animated button using javascript that uses the images of the animation that revolves on a mouseover. I don't want to use Flash because 1) it seems to be on its way out and 2) it wouldn't be Ipad compatible. Would it be as simple as finding a slideshow script and speeding it up to 24 fps? Also, I'm thinking that the images should be preloaded. That can be done in javascript right?
I want to make an moving image. In time it should change to other image with other button. Also it could be changed by user. The change should be dynamic like moving from left to right.
I'm trying to get use of the following JQuery example: Animated Boxes Example
So I wrote the following code trying to make a gallery from the example above:
The TestAnimeScroller.js Script is as following:
As you can see from the code above I'm using the webserive only for testing the scroller for ajax calls problems.It has only the Hello World default web method.
However every thing works fine except that the images are shaking abit whilescrolling to the left.I tried many things but it was no use.I prefer to make a scroller from scratch rather than use a plug-in so I could make custom things easily...I'm using Jquery 1.4.2
I've got a slideshow which has animated gifs in it. But the timing goes out after a few slides. I need to find out how to get each gif to restart when it is shown but without having to re download the image each time. The website address is below, the slide show is just below the body text.
I cannot get javascript to change an image to make a "pressable" button when select areas of an image map are clicked. I used index.html for testing purposes.
I have some code that will check a users screen resolution and open a new window with a particular version of my website in, I have several sites for different page sizes. But when this code runs in Safari the pop-up is blocked so I would like the image on my page to be a button that runs the code to open the 'correct' window (based on the screen res) and as a button is launching the new window Safari should be okay about it.
I'm relatively new to coding in javascript, so I'm hoping that some kind souls could help me out! I'm trying to make an animated image height changer (example: changing an image's height from 50px to 500px). I'm working on a new web site using HTML5 and want to add some Flash-like animation to my page using javascript and <canvas>.The animation would only need to "play" one time once the web page has loaded. No looping is required and no user interaction (ie mouseovers, etc) is needed.
I have it set up so that there are three frames (frames and the use of javascript are encourage for practice) "bar" on the left with navigational options, "main" in the center where the body of the drill is presented, and "feedback" along the bottom where the feedback will appear.
My issue is that I have everything working except the form! I'm not sure how to make it so that upon clicking the submit button the feedback is presented in the "feedback" frame. This was suggested to me but isn't working, maybe I have a mistake somewhere? Or is there another way I can do this?
<html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function CheckCheckbox() {
how can I make simple mouseover image tooltip on the little cubic image in the first column of every row - when it's mouseovered, the image of current book, which is in that row, should be in tooltip.The name of every the image in folder "slike" is exactly the same name as the value of "slike" in xml for every book(knjiga)!
I was wanting to know how to properly make an image change when you hover over the main image.URL...And I want ALL the images to change as soon as you hover over each image.Now here's the problem. Whenever I layout my coding like that, when I hover over ANY image, an image I don't want to change, changes.So is there any way that I can get ALL images to work without having to create external JavaScript files?
Using a UI dialog I'd like to load in 10 or so images. Each would be unique and after you click on one the following needs to happen:
1. Image appears on the parent page in a specified ID.
2. A "hidden" field is updated so that when the user submits the db is updated with their selection.
3. Dialog closes automatically.
That's it. Basically it would work similar to "datepicker".I'm using the latest 1.4 and ui and been making great progress as learning basics. I need to do the above and it seems like such a no brainier and or it should already exist but after 2 days of searching and trial and error...
I am preloading some images, so prior to the downloading I have:
In Mozilla: initially WxH = 0x0 ... after img downloaded WxH = good# x good# the div just stretches just the right amount to fit snuggly around the newly loaded image;
But the other browsers do different things;
My current solution, which works, uses a new Image().width approach where I manually resize the container div;
How to get the other browsers to automatically resize the container divs;
I would like for the script to say "Ok here is the button on this page *clicks* (or submit)".I've tried learning what I can on my own,I've tried using the search tool.Here is the part of the code I am trying to use to make my click button.
how to make a close button for this? The close button I currently have here makes the IMAGE2 disappear but I cannot see IMAGE1 until the time runs out on the setTmeout. I want to be able to click the closeX and close out the whole script leaving IMAGE1 showing. Here is what I have:
I have seen example of checkboxes being displayed (using jquery) as a 'switch' that can be slid 'on' or 'off'.
Is it possible to display a checkbox as if it were a button, either pushed in or not. I would also like to use the checkboxes 'label' as the text over the button. The width would need to adjust its width to suit the size of the label etc.
What I am looking to do, is make an image clickable, and when the image is clicked it increases a counter. Pretty much I want to know how many times the button has been clicked. It would be great if this was all done real time as well.
I just started learning javascript, and was wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me with setting and getting cookies.I would like to set a cookie called game when you arrive at html page A, and then have html page B get that cookie to make a button link appear.
Im looking to basically have an image which is a button with a value, and when i click the image, it gets replaced by another image with a different value. when clicked again it would return to the original image and value..Is this possible? and if so, please help cos im terrible at javascript!
