Make Simple Mouseover Image Tooltip On Little Cubic Image In First Column Of Every Row
May 9, 2010
how can I make simple mouseover image tooltip on the little cubic image in the first column of every row - when it's mouseovered, the image of current book, which is in that row, should be in tooltip.The name of every the image in folder "slike" is exactly the same name as the value of "slike" in xml for every book(knjiga)!
I am currently studying javascript - talk about a whole new world!!I need a simple code for a web page where the thumb images are lined up and when the mouse moves over the image, a larger size of the image is shown above the smaller images.
I have spent hours on the net trying to find something, but can only find either overly complicated or having to download plugins.
I want to have a big image and say 5 small thumbnails underneath. When the user clicks a thumbnail, the image loads where the previous big image was. Is there a standard way to do this?
On one of my test sites I have an image that when you mouseover it has an enlarged image with description pop up which floats or aligns downward (default). Does anyone know the code or tag to make it float/align upward?
These images are near the bottom of the page so I want the pop up to pop up into the page and not down below the page line.[URl]..
I've been using prettySociable on my site (can be downloaded here. I use the uncompressed version). I want to be able to change the tooltip (that shows up when you drag an image) to default to an image on my server, rather than to the page title. I think I've tracked down the code on line 265 of the jquery.prettySociable.js file, but I'm unsure how to change it:
I'm looking for a very simple image gallery solution (no lightbox or something other fance) with a large image and a x amount of thumbnails at one off the sides, where the big image change whenever another thumbnail is clicked, without page refresh. ( a fade transition would be nice)!Which Plugin, preferably as light as possible, is the most suitable for this task?
I have gotten my script to do exactly what I want it to do with one exception. I have some thumbnail images that people can mouse over and the actual image is 100px by 75px. That is what I use for my thumbnail and they reside in www.website.com/images/thumbs/image1.jpg. I have the large version of the image that resides in www.website.com/images/image1.jpg. Its actual size is 640px by 480. When I mouse over my thumbnail, I don't want the thumbnail to appear for the larger image, I want the large image to appear instead? Let me know if you need ellaboration.
Javascript <script language="JavaScript"> function Change_Big_One(thumb){ document.getElementById('BigOne').src=thumb.src.replace("_th","")
I'm failing to get a pure CSS way to achieve this, so trying JS. Several small images in a row, each different. Want mouseover to:
1. change each image to different image on mouseover (each image has its own mouseover image version).
2. produce different paragraph of text below row of images on each mouseover.
I can achieve it with mouseover on text links or on an image, but not with the two events, viz mouseover image swap + mouseover text swap. Would also want to be able to style the text.
how to make the following two simple image galleries:This one displays a specific image when its link is clicked ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/gallerysimp.html) And this one displays the previous/next image for whatever's showing ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/prevnext.html). (During its code, it points to this .js file ((URL address blocked: See forum rules) /tests/ nextPrevious.js).)
My question is, how do I combine those two galleries? How can I make one gallery that contains both kinds of links? Since the two galleries were copied from different places, the names they use aren't the same, and I'm not sure what to change to make it all unified. (I tried fiddling with it for over an hour before giving up.)
I was wanting to know how to properly make an image change when you hover over the main image.URL...And I want ALL the images to change as soon as you hover over each image.Now here's the problem. Whenever I layout my coding like that, when I hover over ANY image, an image I don't want to change, changes.So is there any way that I can get ALL images to work without having to create external JavaScript files?
Using a UI dialog I'd like to load in 10 or so images. Each would be unique and after you click on one the following needs to happen:
1. Image appears on the parent page in a specified ID.
2. A "hidden" field is updated so that when the user submits the db is updated with their selection.
3. Dialog closes automatically.
That's it. Basically it would work similar to "datepicker".I'm using the latest 1.4 and ui and been making great progress as learning basics. I need to do the above and it seems like such a no brainier and or it should already exist but after 2 days of searching and trial and error...
I want to make an moving image. In time it should change to other image with other button. Also it could be changed by user. The change should be dynamic like moving from left to right.
I am trying to load image and display other stuff dynamically, but I am having a hard time with it.How can I find out "span class" on the code below?what exactly defines "this"? and how can I access its contents?
The pagination itself WORKS FINE. However, I'm trying to use a tooltip script on an image hover, and though it works fine if the page is properly cached, it does NOT work as I go from page to page, using the pagination numbers to navigate. Oddly, if I click on the picture itself, the tooltip works. You can see what's going on here [URL] when you roll over the top three images they do not initially utilize the tooltip script. However, if you click the image, it begins to show the larger image. Here is the javascript code associated with the PAGINATION, thought I really don't know where the problem resides:
I am preloading some images, so prior to the downloading I have:
In Mozilla: initially WxH = 0x0 ... after img downloaded WxH = good# x good# the div just stretches just the right amount to fit snuggly around the newly loaded image;
But the other browsers do different things;
My current solution, which works, uses a new Image().width approach where I manually resize the container div;
How to get the other browsers to automatically resize the container divs;
I'm using this sort-table that relies on MooTools.I have one column that contains image icons. I'd like to sort them (perhaps by the "id" attribute), but I'm new to Javascript and don't understand what I'm seeing in the js files enough to customize it.
I am using and modifying the sample demo page and have a error on IE:
Using:
The fade effect on IE causes that the image shadow.png appears black on border for a while, fade effect is too uggly, firefox and safari works fine. Now I have to set fade=0 only to support IE7.
I cannot get javascript to change an image to make a "pressable" button when select areas of an image map are clicked. I used index.html for testing purposes.
i'd like to know if there's a way similar to "alt" with <img> to display a tooltip txt when the mouse is over a <a> link ? In html or javascript or something else !!!
I used an image map because i have 5 bracelets in one picture, all with different styles. I created the mouseover images so that when your mouse is over one of them, that bracelet will highlight and show the name of the style. But the mouseovers are not working at all.
All the .gif have been uploaded into a sub folder named bracelets. I do not want and ALT tag or an onclick, an no link associated to each bracelet. Code:
