Display Random Text At Bottom After Button Is Clicked?
Nov 15, 2011when I click on a button, it should display below the button a random randomStrings(AAA, AAB, AAC, AAD, or AAE). The problem is that when I click on the button nothing is being displayed. Instead it just re-opens the web page I am on.
How can I get it so that when I click on the button, a randomStrings appears at the bottom.
question 2 is that in the future I want the randomStrings to display AAA, AAB, AAC ... all the way to ZZZ. Is there a shorter way to display the randomStrings than just AAA, AAB, AAC and so on.

I managed to display the total but I can�t make the form to show automatically the two other values (deposit, final balance) unless I ask the user to click on buttons, which is not desirable since $ does not change automatically for deposit and final payment if user clicks on another radio button before sending the form.

JavaProcessAlert Function - Processing To Display Automatically
Sep 28, 2010How to get the JavaProcessAlert() function to have its effect displayed on the page before and while the ActualJavaProcess() is working. I assume it has to go out of the script block and then back in, but have no idea as to how to make it do so automatically. I hope the code is understandable.

Moving The Curser From Text Box To Text Box Automatically When A Condition Is Met?
Jul 27, 2010I have learned a good bit of PHP and have implemented it for use in my work as a math tutor.My kids are telling me, however, that it is too inconvenient to hit tab or click on the next text box and would prefer to use the old style pencil and paper.I thought of a good idea: Javascript would be able to automatically focus the curser on the next text box if some condition was met.For example: 6+7. If the textbox reads 13, it will focus on the next text box. Otherwise, nothing happens. This kills three birds with one stone; the user will know if they got the question right or wrong and it will move automatically if they got it correct.The problem is I lack any real JavaScript wisdom. I would guess this would be quite simple. The closest thing I have found upon searching was this from the user requestcode, but this has to do with once the user has typed in 4 characters it moves automatically.

Random Movie Display Script?
Oct 5, 2009I have a Javascript which I'm using to display one of four Flash SWF files randomly. These need to be actually displayed twice, so I'm basically calling the script twice.This works great aside from one thing- occasionally the same movie appears in both scripts, for example the first instance picks movie 3 of 4 and th second instance does the same.What I need is to somehow make sure that if the first instance of the script picks movie x then the second script will pick any movie EXCEPT movie x.

Display X Random Values From Array?
May 7, 2011I have an array containing 100 different values. How would I randomly pick 25 of them for display? For now I do: for (var i=0; i<markers.length && i<25; i++) {
html += markers[i].name + '<br />';
}
Which of course returns 25 values but always in the same order which is not what I want. PS. My array could also contain only 20 values, in which case I would like the function to display the 20 values randomly sorted.
Random Picture Display Script
Apr 17, 2006I am working on a web page where a random picture is displayed at each visit to the site. One requirement of the page is that it also works for users who have javascripts disabled.
I put a default picture in the page that get's swapped using an onLoad function. That works great for the javascript disabled browser because it just shows that default picture. However, when the page loads for users who do have javascripts enabled, they will see the default picture quickly change into the new random picture. It looks glitchy.
I've been trying to think of another approach where it will be seemless for either kind of viewer. Any ideas? Code:

But then I have to create a second script element to create the function showlmg() and within that I require statements to declare a variable named imgNumber equal to the value returned by the randomInteger() (which is from the external sheet found in data files from the textbook therefore I know they are right). I am supposed to use 9 as the value of the size parameter in the randomInteger() function. The second statement should be command that writes the following text to the document: <img src='imgNumber.jog' alt= ' '/>.
So basically the coding I have done is:

To post in a table on the page... I believe the issue is in the declaring a variable the is equal to the result of the function random integer which the text book or anywhere that I can find online fails to explain how to do.

Right now we're stuck changing this schedule each day by hand, but it's tough considering we're all college students ourselves and sometimes our own schedules simply don't allow the time.Is there a code that would allow this kind of a daily update to happen automatically?

I am marginally experienced with PHP but have no knowledge of javascript. This is for a scheduling program. Prior to generating the form, the question is asked as to how many days are needed, and the form automatically generates the appropriate # of fields. They are, for this example, as follows:
Day 1, Title 1, Description 1
Day 2, Title 2, Description 2
Day 3, Title 3, Description 3
Day 4, Title 4, Description 4
I would like to add a checkbox (entitled "Same as Previous Day") that allows the user to duplicate the previous entry, populate the fields so the database is properly filled, and make the fields it just populated uneditable. So for the example, if day 2 and 3 were the same as day 1, I could select a box for each day 2 and day 3 and their titles and descriptions would be filled with the information from Day 1.

Sep 16, 2011I have a navigation link ("galleries") that 'onclick' displays a sub-menu of other links (the specific galleries).
This is on the home page of my site.When a user first views the home page, the sub-menu does not display, until they click "galleries".
On other pages of my site, the "galleries" link is one of the options in my navigation. That link takes users back to the home page which is what I want it to do.But what I'm looking for to happen is if the user is directed back to the home page from within another page on my site, I'd like the link on the homepage to automatically display the sublinks under the "gallery" link.This is so that users don't have to click "galleries" twice in order to see the submenu.
For example: If a user is on the 'about me' page, in the navigation there is a 'galleries' link. If they click it, it takes them to the home page. They would then have to click on 'galleries' again on the home page in order to display the sub-menu of individual galleries.I want them to show up immediately, but only when directed back to the home page from within my site. I think I do that with an 'if' statement, but I'm not sure of the syntax.
