I've got a selection of 4 images/banners there all the same size and fit into the website layout perfectly, what I'm after is a small bit of java that will change the image from 1 - 4 and then loop to do it again all on a timed delay.
The code I'm using was pulled from a slide show exsample and i've just removed asmuch of the code as was possible.
I have a page that is a displaying a Movie, or it's really 3 Movies but to get to the 2nd Movie the user has to click a "Next" button. My problem is that I want to delay this button to appear until the movie is more or less done... could be 7 or 16 minutes. What would be the easiest and most propriate way to do this using jQuery... swaping out one DIV for another once after X minutes?
I am showing an image possibly 957x30 pixels size on a page. Whenever there is a mouseover or hover on this image, it is swapped with another image (say 957x130 pixels) by expanding its division in slidedown fashion and stays visible for few seconds before swapping back with first image.
I have a drop down menu system, however at the moment when you accidently leave the drop-down, it disappears straight away. I would like there to be a half a second delay before it goes away, any idea how I might add this to the onmouseout function?
I need to delay a page from opening a new window for a minimum of 5 seconds to allow some php processing (inserting a new record into a table) to occur first. the open window code works fine without the time delay, but as soon as i attempt to put a delay in, nothing happens eg, the page no longer opens a new window called newrecord.php.
I am using jquery validation plugin successfully to validate certain fields against my server. The thing is sometimes user types too fast, and the validation plugin sends the word if not equal to the previously sent word. This causes some problems with my mod-evasive that I run in apache. Is there anyway to slow down these requests, or say post to server each 300ms. The jquery UI autosuggest has this feature, where you can set a delay time.
Is there another JS function that I can use to force a time delay without having the code continue to run? I'm using the setTimeout() function but the call to this function doesn't stop the code flow. I need to stop the code flow while waiting. I guess I need a Sleep() type of JS function. What I'm trying to do is display some blank text on the screen using a for loop (I'm using <BR> to give the appearance of "opening up" a vertical window section in the browser) and I need this 'text' to complete before allowing the following code in the function to execute. The following code will display a Table with rows of data. I'm trying to use a timing function to give a visual impression of a window opening up just before the data displays.
I want multiple images to be able to call this function and run it as planned. This is my question, how do you make it so that the name of the tag can be dynamic in the function. if I don't make myself clear, here's my code if it helps.
<html> <head> <title>Example</title> </head>
[Code]....
Ok, so this isn't EXACTLY my code, but it's exactly the same thing as what I'm doing. I just gave some parts easier names, so it's easier to follow. Oh, and if I forgot to say, this is an image swap.
i have a requirement that i need to loop through a series of images(say 4 images) with an even inteval of time.I need the first image to come and after some 4 secnds the next image and then the next image.i used 'setTimeout and setInterval' both doesnt seems o be helping me out.pls find the code that i ve written below:
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
I need to refresh multiple images on my site. So every time the page gets refreshed the images need to change. It worked fine with the script below, but this is only related to 1 image
I tried to copy the script and change the "ID's" but this does not do the job.
I'm a jQuery novice to say the least so please bear with me here.I need to swap out some images in a timed sequence. I found a tutorial online which kind of does what I need. Here is the code:
I have 3 images that I am trying to swap in and out with eachother. It starts off with the "Good Afternoon.gif" then I have a checkbox that changes it from and switches between the "Eyeball.jpg" and the "Smileys.gif" without going back to the "Good Afternoon.gif. That works perfectly fine and as intended. What does not work is my reset button, it unchecks the checkbox that I created as it should be does not set the image back to the "Good Afternoon.gif". I created goodAfternoon and a goodAfternoonFinal images because I am telling the code to to goodAfternoon.src=Eyeball.src; so I have the goodAfternoonFinal to change it back to the original pic.
i have been tryin for a long time to get both of the javascripts(for the thumbnail to main img swap and the navigational arrow swap) to work in synchit needs to be so that after clicking on a thumbnail then on an arrow, the correct image in the correct order appears. as of now they are running separately and one has no influence on the other. forgive me if im not being clear. i keep trying to replace the id that one script is looking for with the same id from the other but this will not work..why?
I have been trying to come up with a javascript that will display certain images on my website at a certain time. I found a few scripts but when I tried to customize this one it won't display the images. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?code...
I'm working on a site for our radio station and want it to load a banner where you can see who the DJ is that is on. I saw code on here yesterday (actually it was from March, but I just found it yesterday and can't today) to do it, it showed two images at different times but I couldn't get it to work and don't know enough about java to add more time slots.
