I need to refresh multiple images on my site. So every time the page gets refreshed the images need to change. It worked fine with the script below, but this is only related to 1 image
I tried to copy the script and change the "ID's" but this does not do the job.
What should I change/add to the script below?

OK so Ive been using jquery for a little bit now and love it. I am a ColdFusion developer. I have a need where I would like to present the user with a list of categories and the user can drag and drop to sort, but then I need to post this new sort order to the database. So I see there are a ton of cool drag & drop plugins for jquery. I understand how they work and I can get it to work as far as spitting out DIVS or spitting out ULs that can be sorted, but then what? So now they are sorted on my screen and not really part of the form. How do I translate that into something I can do a post to the database with? Do I do an AJAX call every time they drop an item and try to extrapolate the sort order on that item after they drop it? Do I populate a hidden form field with the constantly updating sort order list? MAybe a list of ID's? How does everyone else go about this this task? I'm sure there is more than one way and I'm sure this is a common task.

I need a JavaScript (or something else) that will fade out the web site, on load, and display a series of images, then display a "Continue" button to go back to the web site. I have an idea for a cute (and funny) way to get people interested in my site that has a weird name. I searched high and low (Google!, amongst others) for anything that would be close to what I need, to no avail.

I'm working on a site for our radio station and want it to load a banner where you can see who the DJ is that is on. I saw code on here yesterday (actually it was from March, but I just found it yesterday and can't today) to do it, it showed two images at different times but I couldn't get it to work and don't know enough about java to add more time slots.

I've got a selection of 4 images/banners there all the same size and fit into the website layout perfectly, what I'm after is a small bit of java that will change the image from 1 - 4 and then loop to do it again all on a timed delay.
The code I'm using was pulled from a slide show exsample and i've just removed asmuch of the code as was possible.
Code:
<html>
<head>
<title>Slideshow</title>

<div id="pagedate"> (<em><?php echo date("l"); ?></em>) <?php echo date("F d, Y"); ?> <span id="pagetime"><?php echo date("h:i:s A"); ?></span></div>
I have two questions:
1. How can I make it dynamic, so that the minutes and seconds change even if a page isn't refreshed?
2. How can I make it display the VIEWER'S local time? It shows midnight when it's 9 p.m. my time, or something like that.
Also, would displaying seconds eat up a lot of bandwidth? If so, I might limit it to minutes.

I intend to start learning JS over the Xmas holidays, but right now I only have a very basic knowledge of it.I was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on how to do this, as I think i should be pretty easy.After someone changes something in the admin area [e.g. the position of an item] I want to be able to have a small div display at the top of the screen saying something like "Position Updated!" and then have it fade away after 2-3 seconds.

I want to display my listings like they do here: http:[url]....The code on my end calling the third party service looks like this:
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
document.write('<script language="javascript" src="http://###########.com/?bid='+####+'&sitenumber='+#+'&tid=event_names&pcatid=2&showcats=true&title=Concerts Tickets"></' + 'script>');
</script>
How do I make it only display one letter at a time? I believe some variation on the sort method might work...

I am try to make images float across the screen horizontally. Ideally I would like them to come from both sides and be at different y positions.
The problem I am having is that I can only seem to get one to move at a time.
Another problem is that when they move off to the right of the screen it expands the viewable size of the site.
So here's what I've come up with thus far.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html><head>
<title>Image Mover</title>

I have a client that wants a new background image every time page is reloaded. I thought I have to script and thought I had it working but when I applied it to all my pages from a template I made in dreamweaver it doesn't work. It only works on the template.
See code below.
<head>
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
function MM_goToURL() { //v3.0
var i, args=MM_goToURL.arguments; document.MM_returnValue = false;
for (i=0; i<(args.length-1); i+=2) eval(args[i]+".location='"+args[i+1]+"'");
}
function MM_displayStatusMsg(msgStr) { //v1.0
status=msgStr;
document.MM_returnValue = true;
}
//-->
</script>
</head>
<body>
<script>
var randombgs=["../images/main_background.png", "../images/main_background2.png", "../images/main_background3.png", "../images/main_background4.png", "../images/main_background.png", "../images/main_background2.png", "../images/main_background3.png", "../images/main_background4.png"]
document.write('<body background="'+randombgs[Math.floor(Math.random()*randombgs.length)]+'" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">')

I've used countdown timers etc. that use the Jquery library, so I know it's possible for Jquery to retrieve the date and time for use.I was wondering if there is a way to limit the time a DIV is shown depending on the time or date. For example:
<div class="show_content">
Content
</div>
And I want to show this DIV only from 12 am onwards on the day of 16th December

I have a Javascript that calculates and displays how long, in minutes and seconds a user has been in online(Google Gears development) mode on a given web page. I need however, to modify the script so that it calculates and displays how long the user has been online on the web site. For e.g. on page 1 for 2 minutes 12 seconds. Moves to page 2 - total time on page 1 and 2= 4 minutes 13 seconds. My script (see below) starts a second counter then converts that to minutes and seconds. I have tried passing the secVar0 variable in the url but that comes back "undefined".
Code:
if(request.responseText != "" && request.responseText.indexOf("404 Page not found") == -1)
{
c=0;
[Code]....
