Reverse BMI Calculator To Calculate Filled Goal
Mar 28, 2011
I already have a working bmi calculator for my website where visitor will enter height and current weight to calculate their current bmi. Then I want to have a reverse bmi calculator to grab the same height and weight from said bmi calculator to give a calculation with a fillable goal bmi (example: 18-24 "healthy bmi") to read out a goal weight for them to achieve. I have already figured out the first part of the bmi calculation now I just need the second calculation to grab the height and weight from original bmi calculator without needing to be filled in again and compute result in a second table. I will post code that I have come up with so far for the whole page.

I just found out that for IE6 (standard mode and quirks mode), for DOM Level 2 events (haven't tested for DOM Level 1), the event object is available just like in Firefox, that is as the first argument in the event handler function. I named the first argument eent (vokuntarily misspelled eent instead of event) so as to assure myself that IE6 didn't take the variable named event as window event.
CCl: For IE6 and on, no more need to have this ****** code (I hate it):
function eventHandler(event)
{
if (typeof event == "undefined")
{
event = window.event;
}
...
}

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any way to traverse the object array in
reverse order. I'd thought there must be a way to do it with for..in
loop, but couldn't find anything yet.

I need a function like reverseChars(str_arg) this will return a string containing the characters of the string str_arg in reverse order. For example, if reverseChars("javascript") is called, the return value will be "tpircsavaj".

I have created this chatroom using php and scriptaculous but I am stuck with a tiny issue which I believe is only solvable using Javascript.
I have attached 2 screen shots. 1.jpg is what I get at the moment and 2.jpg is what I want to get.
As you see when somebody sends message and the messages exceed pages size, the scroll bars appear, I need the scroll bar to be the oposite direction (down to top) like yahoo or msn or any other chat room.

I would like to create reverse dropdown boxes (that is, dropdown boxes that "drop" the other way around--perhaps "drop-up" boxes could be the closest term I could associate with such elements) for the menu of my personal site; I've seen such menus before, however at the same time I have also neglected to take note of what JavaScripts were used.

The code sortes/reverses the rows of a table with data upon the correspondent chosen column.

I'm baffled! I'm coding in HTML5 and getting back the geo coordinates with no problems; I set them as cookies for future reference, then pass them to a reverse geolocation server using $.getJSON in jQuery 1.5.1. I have to parse through the results, but I manage to get the user's US state location (which is my goal) in Firefox, but not in IE.
The JSON appears to be well-formed, and looks like this:
Code JavaScript:
{"place_id":"3065317","licence":"Data Copyright OpenStreetMap Contributors, Some Rights Reserved. CC-BY-SA 2.0.","osm_type":"node","osm_id":"356821721","lat":"32.9029017","lon":"-96.5636022","display_name":"Church of the Nazarene, Main Street, Dallas, Texas, 75088, United

I'm slowly learning jQuery and starting to have some fun with it. I've set up an animation where if you click a certain anchor the animation plays. However, being new at this, I cannot figure out how to play the animation in reverse if the same anchor is clicked a second time.Here is an example of my sloppy script:
<script

$("#animate").click(function(){[code]....
That is all I have so far.An IF statement perhaps?

I'm trying to make web page where when you click on a map from google maps, a marker is inserted with an infowindow telling you the address on which you placed the marker. Placing the marker works fine, but the reverse geocoding is giving me some trouble. I'm pretty sure the problem is in the javascript code not the google maps API. I put in some comments to show where I think the problem is.
HTML Code:
<script type="text/javascript"

I'm trying to do this email obfuscation thing where I reverse the email direction with php and then on the page flip it right way with css.
Looks great and works great, expect when I copy the email, it's of course backwards.
Would you have any ideas how to use jQuery (or just plain js) to flip it right way when it is copied? Or would it make the whole obfuscation thing useless?

I am looking for a snippet to use touch gestures in jquerymobile. The following snippets works fine but the page only slides to the left. How to swipe the page to left and right? (data-direction=reverse"?
<script type="text/javascript">
$('div.ui-page').live("swipeleft", function(){
var nextpage = $(this).next('div[data-role="page"]');
// swipe using id of next page if exists
if (nextpage.length > 0) {

I have set up a reverse proxy for a wordpress blog that is using the theme mystique. When I use IE to connect directly to the blog the theme works fine and loads ie7.css When I connect through the reverse proxy to the blog the theme does not load the ie7.css
From what I can work out it looks like the person who wrote it is using jquery to determine the browser type. Any ideas why jquery would fail when passed through a reverse proxy?

I'm developing a search feature to the following website: REMOVED THE LINK As you can see, the table has a mouseover effect that paints the current hovered row's border. Because I couldn't find any way of drawing a border around the tr only, I had to set all <td> borders white and after that set the top and bottom borders of all <td>'s pink. The first td is set to left border pink and the last one of the row receives right border pink. This is done in jquery's mouseover event. The problem is the border is no continuous, as you can see in the attached image. And that's pissing off my client. Do you have a solution? I've used padding: 0; border collapse.. I don't know what else to do.

What it needs to do is when the user fills in the last <input> it will add another one bellow it, and if it gets emptied it then removes the one bellow is (as long as it is empty too)
<input type='text' name='kit_parts[]' />
Thats the line it needs to add.

Here is my issue that I am trying to resolve. I know how to make a field in a form required for validation however what I am trying to do is require that at least one of two available fields is filled in. The form performs a search using the 'first name', 'last name' or both. What I need is for the form to require at a minimum that at least one of the two fields is filled in prior to sending it to the script to do the search.Here is what it should do in each instance:
[first name] [NA] = form submitted
[NA] [last name] = form submitted
[first name] [last name] = form submitted
[na] [na] = Not submitted
