Need Script For Floating Image At Lower Right Corner Of The Window
Jan 11, 2005
- I'm using "Frames" and the frame I want the image/div to appear in is the main content frame that sits against the right and bottom edges of the browser window. So the lower right corner of the browser window is the same as the lower right corner of my frame.
- (optional) If the frame content is small enough such that there are no scrollbars or if the page has not been scrolled vertically, then I don't want the image (or <div>) to appear.
- the placement of the image/div needs to take into account the width of the scrollbar(s).
- my focus is to display a button in this lower right corner that, when clicked, will scroll the page to the top.
Thanks, and here are the instructions and script that I mentioned above (that I had founed from another site):
Place the watermark on your page where you want it to appear on non-DHTML browsers (say, the bottom). Then nest it inside a <DIV> tag with the attributes id="waterMark" and style="position:absolute". Code:
Can I change firefox/IE's min/max/X button lay out to lower right corner? I have a web app (let us say i have 2 pages input.php and output.php) when user enters data into input.php and click search output.php renders from server. But the user from anywhere on web should be able to close output.php by using lower right X button. (by default FF/IE has top right X button, may top left in case of MAC), in otherwords I need to change the output.php page NOT on a user machine but on server, so that each user get same lay out when access the page.
Stuck in the bottom-right corner of this page is a Social Media sharing tool floating over the page content. It's semi-transparency changes upon hover. It grows out from the corner upon hover as well. [URL] I'm thinking it's ShareBar but I don't see anything like it on the ShareBar site.
I guess this case applies to both popup windows opened by window.open() and by showModalWindow().
I have two buttons in popup window, "Cancel" and "Save". If the user clicks either button, there is a "process" at parent window before close() at popup being called. The problem now is, if the user click the "X" sign at top right corner of that popup window, how to trigger the "process"?
I think I can do nothing in popup window since the closure is unexpected programmatically. Can I put some kind of listener in parent window to detect if popup is closed?
i am pretty new to jquery and hope this is the right place to ask. my problem is the following. when i mouseover a certain element on a page, i want that a certain image is displayed in the top right corner of the page, no matter where the it is currently scrolled. how can i achieve that?
How can I make it to where an image will load in the corner of a website?Specifically, I have part of a template I want all people to see, however, some people either get it cut off or not shown at all because of their resolution.
I want to find a way to place a button at the bottom right corner of an image. The button should still be inside the image, not under the image. How? I know how to create a link button using FORM and INPUT tag, but can I use innerHtml to insert the button into the IMG tag? If not, how to do it? I tried, but the button is always outside the image.
Those who have used Google notebook may notice that google notebook displays the notes in a small floating window of the browser. I have tried to create a similar floating window, but with no luck. Dojo has a sample floating window, but that floating window has to exist in a browser page, but looks like Google's floating window can exist independently.
Anybody has some ideas how to create a similar floating window?
Here is what I am trying to do and I need some help with the code. I want to have a group of thumbnail images on an HTML page, when the visitor onmouseover a thumbnail I want a larger image of the thumbnail to display in a larger floating box beside each thumbnail. I really don't want any borders or titles on the floating boxes - clean box. Also onmouseout the larger floating box will hide.
I'm working on a mysql browser / edit-in-place app which presents the user with a floating UI (think lightbox), that contains widgets appropriate for the given field they've clicked on.
Presently, rather than centering the UI element like a lightbox however, I find it best to keep it relative to their mouse, so that they don't have to traverse halfway across the screen with their mouse to interact with the interface if they've clicked something (for instance) on the bottom left.
The problem however should be apparent: if they click something towards the bottom of the screen, we need to adjust the css top/left properties so that the UI remains within the viewable area and doesn't run beyond the viewport, if possible. I've seen this done tons of times with tooltips.
I've thrown some basic awareness together using$(window).height() / width(), but if anyone could point me to a maturealgorithmfor harvesting the appropriate offset.
I am a systems analyst and network admin for [url].... We already have an exisiting site, which has JS. We now need to add a lightbox effect onload that will basically overlay the page in grey and focus on a banner before you can access it. Thus, pushing everyone who visits to read a banner. I would also like to add an "x" graphic in the top right corner of the projected image to close the banner and return to veiwing our site.
I got a problem while renendering a menu and combobox on a page. The problem is stated below.
As per my requirement I have to display a menu on top of the page and a combo box just below it. While dragging the mouse over the menu, the submenu items should appear over the combobox. I go for ZINDEX, assign a lower ZINDEX to the combo box than that of the menu, but still the combobox appears over the menu items.
I have looked around and not been able to find a definitive answer to this. Prototype does not work in IE 7 or lower. All other browsers work just fine. Even something as simple as toggle(); will not work in older versions of IE. I don't get any errors or anything like that. It doesn't really seem like a compatibility issue as much as it does that those browsers could be parsing the code differently?
problem with accessKey attribute value p (lowercase) and P(uppercase) for different html buttons.. the browser unable to differentiate between upper and lowercase key ...
i have a simple form with two buttons, and i want to trigger these buttons with keyboard keys in combination with Alt key. for example Alt + P (uppercase) should trigger button 1 and Alt + p (lowercase) should trigger button 2

I'm working on implementing a menu and need to have information when the menu size is larger than the width of the window. The problem is that pas a certain point, jQuery("body").width() keeps registering 497, despite being much smaller than that. Has anyone had this issue
