I have 3 fields.

I want to have a group of thumbnail images on an HTML page, when the visitor onmouseover a thumbnail I want a larger image of the thumbnail to display in a larger floating box beside each thumbnail. I really don't want any borders or titles on the floating boxes - clean box. Also onmouseout the larger floating box will hide.

Jan 11, 2005I'm looking for a cross-browser (IE, Netscape, Mozilla/FireFox, Opera, Safari) javascript that will keep an image (or <div>) in the lower right corner of the browser window whenever part of the web page has been scrolled vertically. I did find a script on the internet that was supposed to fit my needs, but I found it didn't work as advertised. (I included that script below.)
Requirements:
- I'm using "Frames" and the frame I want the image/div to appear in is the main content frame that sits against the right and bottom edges of the browser window. So the lower right corner of the browser window is the same as the lower right corner of my frame.
- (optional) If the frame content is small enough such that there are no scrollbars or if the page has not been scrolled vertically, then I don't want the image (or <div>) to appear.
- the placement of the image/div needs to take into account the width of the scrollbar(s).
- my focus is to display a button in this lower right corner that, when clicked, will scroll the page to the top.
I found the following script on another site that claims it would do most of this, cross browser, but I was only able to make it work with IE (and I'm using IE 6.0). When I tried it with Netscape 7.1, Firefox 1.0 (Mozilla 5.0) and Opera 7.54, the button didn't float as the page scrolled. I checked browser settings and javascript is turned on for all the browsers.
Can someone point me to a javascript that will do what I'm looking for, or help me understand why the following script isn't working cross browser? I've worked with javascript and the DOM somewhat, but am not a Master of the subject matter, especially when it comes to cross browser issues.

Dec 6, 2009I run a streaming site and would like google adsense to appear at the bottom of the page/stream every 3 minutes, stay for 15 seconds and then close automatically. Then after another 3 minutes they'd appear again, stay for 15 seconds and then close again, etc, etc.I'd imagine having the adsense in an iframe would be easier.I'd also like to give users the option to close the adsense using a close button at the top of the iframe if they don't want to wait 15 seconds.

Jun 16, 2010I have a consecutive countdown currently using only seconds. I would like the output to show hours minutes and seconds (ex 2:30:00). The page is at riccraig.us/countdown.html. Here is some of the code:

Countdowns 3 through 6 are the same as 1 and 2. The initial html shows the desierd values. But when the timer starts it only shows the total seconds. I realize why it is showing the total number of seconds. However, I don't know how to get it to the 00:00:00 format.

On the 10 minute time limit there is an event that directs the person to a page which logs them off.I am trying to create a 1 minute warning pop up alert window which I can get to work but the alert window itself halts the 10 minute countdown execution. Convert A Digit (430) Into Minutes/seconds (7:30)?
May 18, 2011I am creating a JS function that takes a time input in minutes only and divides that number by an inputted digit. I would like to know how we use Javascript to convert that result into minutes and seconds.For instance, 30 (1800 seconds) divided by 4 = 450 seconds. How do I show that as 7:30? I can divide by 60 to get 7.5, but I don't know how to go from there. I got as far as the following, then got stuck.

Nov 15, 2010I've been having problems with web browsing that I think may be related to Javascript.I use forum sites like and there I get logged out every few minutes/seconds I've found that clearing my cache regularly seems to help a little, but it doesn't fix the problem. Other forum/avatar sites like Solia and Zaffcast don't work properly either, Solia was the site that first alerted me that my javascript may not be enabled. Since then, I have seen other sites that also require javascript that say that my Javascript is not enabled.I'm using Firefox, and my Javascript is certainly enabled in tools> options> content. I'm also having the same problems in IE, Opera and Safari (I haven't tried Chrome yet).I've done some javascript tests and it is working, but evidently not properly.There is another thing that confuses me, it's the fact that if I use my phone as a modem, I don't have this problem. So could it have something to do with my internet connection?

I discovered a problem; if the employee works less than 8 hours they may not take a lunch. I have it set to automatically subtract 30 minutes for lunch. How do I write it to only subtract 30 minutes if the work day is greater than 4 hours? I am new to java script and have NEVER programmed anything previously. (1) I have 4 product, for each product i have different end date stored in mysql in DB.

Aug 7, 2010I found the below script that works fine for the actual countdown, but when the user refreshes the page, the countdown starts from 5 minutes again.
What I am trying to do, is handle users that put something in their shopping cart and then get side tracked or what ever reason and that same product then being purchased by another person when I only have 1 left.
So using PHP I am going to subtract the qty of that product by 1 and then I want the website to either put it back, if the users checkout times out, or if a normal process it is taken out permanently.
So long story short I think I need some sort of 'memory' for the javascript, so the user can't just keep refreshing and it starting from 5 minutes each time. Also it needs to be carried through to other pages.

ajax. This is working 99% of the time but occasionally it will freeze
at the server for 5 minutes and then raise a javascript exception
"Unknown name".
After the exception I can run the same request ok, and keep doing so
until the next time it freezes for 5 minutes.
What does the "Unknown name" javascript exception mean?
Why does it freeze for 5 minutes?
I can't replicate this on my dev pc, it's only happening in a live
environment with IE6 and 2 load balanced IIS6 servers.

In FF it does what the css expects, that is to say it creates a semi
transparent gray box over the screen.
But when i view it in IE 7 it doesnt work, in that it doesnt display it
the same way, only a 1px square top right ofscreen.

The only thing is I would like the floating menu to float within another div and not move from outside of that containing div. As the script is, the menu position is absolute relative to the browser. Is there a way to make the floating div absolute to the boundaries of a second containing div like a sidebar, for example?

I have searched over internet for it but there i found menu bar whose co-ordinates are fixed. I mean if menu bar is on center of page and you scroll page a very little then menu will also scroll but in gmail it is different. When menu bar comes to top of page only then menu bar scrolls along with the page.
