Change Firefox / IE X Button Layout To Lower Right Corner?

Can I change firefox/IE's min/max/X button lay out to lower right corner? I have a web app (let us say i have 2 pages input.php and output.php) when user enters data into input.php and click search output.php renders from server. But the user from anywhere on web should be able to close output.php by using lower right X button. (by default FF/IE has top right X button, may top left in case of MAC), in otherwords I need to change the output.php page NOT on a user machine but on server, so that each user get same lay out when access the page.
I'm looking for a cross-browser (IE, Netscape, Mozilla/FireFox, Opera, Safari) javascript that will keep an image (or <div>) in the lower right corner of the browser window whenever part of the web page has been scrolled vertically. I did find a script on the internet that was supposed to fit my needs, but I found it didn't work as advertised. (I included that script below.)
Requirements: - I'm using "Frames" and the frame I want the image/div to appear in is the main content frame that sits against the right and bottom edges of the browser window. So the lower right corner of the browser window is the same as the lower right corner of my frame. - (optional) If the frame content is small enough such that there are no scrollbars or if the page has not been scrolled vertically, then I don't want the image (or <div>) to appear. - the placement of the image/div needs to take into account the width of the scrollbar(s). - my focus is to display a button in this lower right corner that, when clicked, will scroll the page to the top.
I found the following script on another site that claims it would do most of this, cross browser, but I was only able to make it work with IE (and I'm using IE 6.0). When I tried it with Netscape 7.1, Firefox 1.0 (Mozilla 5.0) and Opera 7.54, the button didn't float as the page scrolled. I checked browser settings and javascript is turned on for all the browsers.
Can someone point me to a javascript that will do what I'm looking for, or help me understand why the following script isn't working cross browser? I've worked with javascript and the DOM somewhat, but am not a Master of the subject matter, especially when it comes to cross browser issues.

I'm trying to make a page where you can change a page's layout through 2 separate CSS's via a button. i want to button to change text when it toggles the layouts as well. i have no clue how to do this with an entire CSS file, but here is something i made to change the background. could i use this logic to change the CSS of a page?
I got different looks in firefox and IE by using same code. I made a sign up form. If it's browsed by firefox, the elements will misplace. If using IE, not problem at all. BTW, I am using DW to make the form. Any hint?:thumbsup:
I'm working on implementing a menu and need to have information when the menu size is larger than the width of the window. The problem is that pas a certain point, jQuery("body").width() keeps registering 497, despite being much smaller than that. Has anyone had this issue
I have scroll and pagination jQuerys for a website that I am developing for a company. The jQuery works fine on all browsers until I updated firefox to 3.6.3. On FF 3.6.3 the page loads fine but once the scroll or pagination is clicked on to change pages, the entire content shifts up 200px. I was unable to find any known bugs with FF and jQuery except for certain jQuery pages not being able to load but that seems to have been resolved. I am stumped with this problem and was hoping that maybe someone would know how to resolve this. I have tried using JavaScript to detect the browser and version to load a different css but that caused the page to load weird and jQuery fixed it after scroll or pagination was activated.
I was able to deduce that the problem must be with the two columns float left and right which are position relative, but still am unable to figure out why once the pagination or scroll is clicked the columns should shift... Let me know if more information is needed, such as page source. (I will do my best to disclose all relevant information to the extent permitted by the company).
I would like to have a Back To Top button in the bottom right corner of the viewport. I figured that Javascript would be used for this, and after some searching, I found this Jump To Top Link script at DynamicDrive. I'm sure I could easily change its appearance from a link to a button but I don't like the jerky scrolling effect. I wondered if you guys could explain to me how to make the button (or link in the script's case) stay in the bottom right corner of the viewport at all times instead of scrolling?
I want to find a way to place a button at the bottom right corner of an image. The button should still be inside the image, not under the image. How? I know how to create a link button using FORM and INPUT tag, but can I use innerHtml to insert the button into the IMG tag? If not, how to do it? I tried, but the button is always outside the image.

Since the client user has no totally installed flash player in their computer, so that No need to detect if they have installed flash player. I try to create an alert and I found out that it�s impossible to put a link in the alert. Now I remove the flash installer in my computer, so that the flash in my webpage become a box. I want to happen when they open my webpage that contains a flash; an alert or message on the top was appearing saying that �You do not have flash installed in your computer. it's possible to bind a function to an element that is fired if that element is 'moved'/repositioned via the browser.
For a more specific example what I have is a function that calculates height and width of certain elements to allow them to all fit nicely on the page without having scroll bars, and this is bound to the window onresize event. It works nicely most of the time but occasionally something will change the height of one of the elements and this effectively bumps one element right off the page.
So I'm wondering if its possible to have an event bound to an element that is fired when an elements position is moved/recalculated by the browser? Short of polling every second or so, to see if it has moved/recalculate layout.

I got a problem while renendering a menu and combobox on a page. The problem is stated below.
As per my requirement I have to display a menu on top of the page and a combo box just below it. While dragging the mouse over the menu, the submenu items should appear over the combobox. I go for ZINDEX, assign a lower ZINDEX to the combo box than that of the menu, but still the combobox appears over the menu items.
I have looked around and not been able to find a definitive answer to this. Prototype does not work in IE 7 or lower. All other browsers work just fine. Even something as simple as toggle(); will not work in older versions of IE. I don't get any errors or anything like that. It doesn't really seem like a compatibility issue as much as it does that those browsers could be parsing the code differently?

here the behavior is strange, when i press Alt+P in keyboard, button1 is triggered and when i press Alt+Shift+P in keyboard, button2 is triggered ..
I'm trying to make buttons that change from one color to another when you click them and change back when you click them a third time. I wrote this page (http://cf.lehigh.edu/ems/test.html) but it only works on Firefox(Not IE or Chome, untested on safari or Opera). I'm using javascript to change the button colors. Is there another way to do this that works universal or another tool such as CSS?
In my web page I'm having flash content. Now i'm detecting client's flash player version by using javascript. I saw one more method to detect flash player version by using express download method.
