Redirect Page To Open In Parent Frame
Apr 5, 2007What I'm trying to do is make it so when a visitor or a search engine tries to view a page outside of the parent frame it reloads that particular page inside the parent frame. All the scripts I've tried WILL redirect the visitor back to the parent frame, but NONE of them will then load the previously viewed page into the 'main' frame. I don't want visitors to have to navigate through the site to find the particular page they were viewing.
I have seen this script before but I can't remember which site was using it, also without a redirection to the frames the site won't display properly and navigation would be difficult. Code:

Apr 29, 2010Im currently building a new discount-webpage and Im looking for a solution to be able to hover over a discount button to reveal a small text without clicking. And after clicking on the button that the text in the flash button is copied into the clipboard and a new page open with a small frame from my window with the new page underneith. examples of this kind of script can be viewed on this page: [URL]... Im not looking for someone to do this for me. All I want to know if there is another language to do this with like possibly java? and maybe some links to tutorials. Oct 27, 2009I have gotten my script to do exactly what I want it to do with one exception. I have some thumbnail images that people can mouse over and the actual image is 100px by 75px. That is what I use for my thumbnail and they reside in www.website.com/images/thumbs/image1.jpg. I have the large version of the image that resides in www.website.com/images/image1.jpg. Its actual size is 640px by 480. When I mouse over my thumbnail, I don't want the thumbnail to appear for the larger image, I want the large image to appear instead? Let me know if you need ellaboration.

Open The Frame Inside The Main Frame
Jan 10, 2011I have a little problem, I structure my site with a main page index.html with a frame in the central whit name CENTRALE, so every other page I will open within this frame. Now I need to have a direct link to these internal pages, give an example I wish it were possible to go to the page clothing giving a direct link to that section of the site type www.indirizzo.com / clothing.html because the state of things if I take the 'direct address to that page I open only the part inside of the frame, but I wish I would open inside the "main frame, there is a solution in javascrip to overcome this problem?

Feb 13, 2009I have it set up so that there are three frames (frames and the use of javascript are encourage for practice) "bar" on the left with navigational options, "main" in the center where the body of the drill is presented, and "feedback" along the bottom where the feedback will appear.
My issue is that I have everything working except the form! I'm not sure how to make it so that upon clicking the submit button the feedback is presented in the "feedback" frame. This was suggested to me but isn't working, maybe I have a mistake somewhere? Or is there another way I can do this?

Put An Image On The Front Page Of Website That Changes To One Of Two Random Images On Mouseover - Link
May 2, 2010I am trying to put an image on the front page of my website that changes to one of two random images on mouseover. This part was easy, and has been done (I got the code from [URL] But what I am finding difficult is to make each image link to a different page. For example, if the user mouseovers the main image and sees the 'thumbs up' image, then clicks on it, they should be taken to the 'thumbs up' page. And if the user mouseovers the main image and sees the 'thumbs down' image, then clicks on it, they should be taken to the 'thumbs down' page. now i didnt write this javascript.. someone in a forum wrote it for me.. i have been able to edit it to suit my layout requirements..
my problem is that when the page loads, the span is empty..
i need an image to load in the span immediately as it looks wrong when it loads..

Jul 20, 2005I have a page with 4 frames in it. If I click on a button in the 4th frame, a new window has to be opened and the value of the listbox in the 3rd frame hoas to be passed ....
My code works fine in IE, but doesn't in Netscape .....
First, the value of the listbox .... I try to get it with
parent.frame3.form.listbox.value ... But an alert of this (as a test)
does nothing .... I tried several combinations like parent.frames[2]
and parent.frames[frame3] but nothing happens ...
Another problem is that the frame4 is blanked ... strangely enough ...

My research indicates that this blank page location-problem is a result of using document.write in the Function. Therefore, I know I need to find a different way to accomplish this, but am failing miserably.

May 6, 2009I am using a very simple search-type page to enable users to input a model number and its page appears in a inline frame. Its not a true search as it is simply relying on a person entering the correct html page name to find it. But this works perfectly in my application.The problem I have is that I cannot get the type box to accept enter key as a submitt, only a click of the mouse will submitt the request. If enter is pressed the box loses the users input but no action is taken.I think this may be a javascript issue. I have posted the code below.

Ghost Image For Frame
Apr 1, 2005I am working on a application which is a frame based application. In leftFrame I have many links to jsp pages which get displayed on rightFrame. I have a ghost image for the whole application. So far fine.
But I have few wizards which open in rightFrame. When I try to adjust the ghost image for wizard, it's pain and hard to find solution which works fine on IE, Netscape and Mozilla.
Can somebody suggest me any idea how do I do it?
Mouseover With Image Map
Dec 3, 2005I used an image map because i have 5 bracelets in one picture, all with different styles. I created the mouseover images so that when your mouse is over one of them, that bracelet will highlight and show the name of the style. But the mouseovers are not working at all.
All the .gif have been uploaded into a sub folder named bracelets. I do not want and ALT tag or an onclick, an no link associated to each bracelet. Code:
