I am dynamically adding text boxes within a table and I want to be able to dynamically remove them as well. I have this part of the code figured out.
With each text box that I add, I also add a link in the same row, but different cell that will be a "remove" link. Im having trouble finding the index of that row by clicking on a link.
I can find the index by clicking on the row(tr) but I can't seem to figure out how to find the index by clicking on the link inside of the row.
Here is my code:
Creates the link dynamically in the 4th cell:
Code:
Remove Row Code:
Code:
Find Row Index Code:

I beleive the problem is in the rows[i].onlick part, since I'm not techinically clicking on a row, Im clicking on the link. I have tried changing the rows variable to:
I have developed a new site in PHP.Its done using modules and call each page in index page :[URL]... But my client want a color change on the current page select. So how can I do it using JS ?
I have the below array called "results". When I loop through all document elements I would like to check "field_name" against the "results" array and see if it exists and what index number it is at??
// Split the comma delimited response into an array results = result.split("~"); //Loop through array and populate fields[code].....
I want to use the same Photoslider II code but for three different slideshows on same index page. The problem is one works fine but when I add another one on same page everything gets screwed up. The code is below but how can I make adjustments so each one works independently? Code:
So I'm making an ecommerce store and I'd want to hide a product scroller and a banner if the page is any other than index.php, and I know jQuery has the .hide function, but all the examples link it to a button/link/other but I don't understand how to code a conditional statement that hides the code if the page loaded is anything else than index.php.
Would like to say right away that I'm a massive newbie on this and the project below is something I'm creating for others but also to help me learn at the same time. First of all I have my Index file. This contains 3 divs (MainDiv TopDiv and BottomDiv) in which I load iframes onto using innerhtml using this code.
function loadPageX(pageAddress,containerID { var el=document.getElementById(containerID) el.innerHTML="<iframe src="" + pageAddress + ""height="100%" frameborder="0" width="100%" ALLOWTRANSPARENCY="true"></iframe>"
I need guideline with a script I am using for a link on my index page to load up a different page with two iFrames on it and at the same time load up different pages in each of these iFrames. I have achieved this with only one iFrame so far with this script:
So basically when I click on Link1 on Page1 it takes me to Page2 with iFrame1 with a page loaded and iFrame2 with nothing loaded whereas I would like Link1 on Page1 to load up Page 2 with two different pages loaded in the iFrames all at the same time.
I have a site built in CI and I have integrated a js/jq image slider into the index page. I linked all the files to the correct places but for some reason the js isnt working? Some of the fonts in the slider are controlled by js files, and they are displaying correctly, so i know the files are linked ok, but for some reason its not grabbing the code to control the slider. I am not sure if its something to do with the file structure used in ci? Is there something I need to be adding in any config files to make js work in ci? I also tried nivo slider and had similar results. and ive had no luck at all finding a slider built for use in ci....
My project is stated in the title, I want to let users who want to see my portfolio click on a button and the portfolio page slide over my index page. Ex. at www.visumdesignz.com over to the left is a button that says portfolio. when you click on it an extruder pops out, I used the extruder for another function, I decided I didn't want that function, but it gave me this idea. I want the extruder to slide over all of the content.
I noticed the facebook app has a similar function to what I am looking for, take a look at it, when you are looking at your dashboard the news feed slides off to the side, that's a similar idea, even though this isn't mobile, you get the idea, at least I hope.
I am trying to get the index of a li with a specific class. I know I'm selecting the right object because I can apply a CSS class to it (eg change border colour) but when I try to get the index it returns -1. But I know the object exists as I can alter it. :-s
jQuery(document).ready(function() { var active = $("#tertiarynavigation .bordered").get(0); var num = $("#tertiarynavigation li").index(active); alert("Index: " + num);
I am trying to load a different index.html page for each different screen size that the browser has. So the page looks best at different resolutions.I am not really able to test it since I haven't finished building all the different resolution index pages yet. I am just wondering if anyone sees any glaring errors in my coding. This is my script:
<script src="javascript/stndlibrary.js"> var screendim=getWindowSize(); var screenwidth=screendim[0];[code]......
I can't alert the history array of the index page or use that arrays indexOf to read and write it to go back to predetermend conditional index of that array? If I could alert the history array and read the array elements then I might be able to write and go to one of the history array elements specificaly? So I might be able to use window onload to create an array that stores the classname of a div every time the divs classname is changed then go back in page history to the classname specified? code...
How would I be able to display $yes in the index.php page after the modal window of profile.php is closed? Or how would I be able to refresh the index.php page after profile.php page is closed?
when you click on the link a new page html page opens and on that new page, information found in a database with the id of 12(as found in the link) will be displayed using external style sheets etc. Can this be done with html css javascript and json? P.S I know how to do this with php however I want this to be done in my mobile app so the actual page cannot be a .php page
I have just bought a JS animated web template. I made changes to the file names on the splash page (index.html) and 2 landing pages www.keithmacstanton.com/dez Now everything is all messed up.
I have a problem with layers. In my example there's a link inside div#msg with 'z-index:1' and a overlay with 'z-index:2'. Now when "mousedown" fires, will change the div#msg z-index value from 1 to 3 to be on Top, so the link become a clickable link.
The question is, it is possible to make the link on top and open it with just one click?
I've made a page to listen to The Dutch Top 2000 ever.. Example : [URL] After that I want my fewers/listeners to put a new youtube link to my database by giving input from my page. Example: [URL] For my database it is required that the input only 7fXaC07X5M8 instead of the complete link. [URL] My probem is how to handle the input in my form by javascript:
I have a web site which main page is index2.html I need a script that when I refresh the page it takes me to index3.html or index#.html in a random fashion. the list of index numbers is 10 so far.
It is possible to perform a find in page search that looks at a specific link, opens the page in a new window and finds the text within that document?? Basically I regularly use an html page in work that has a list of people and their telephone numbers. I want to be able to type in a searchbox on my main page and it open the target page and find the name I am looking for? Is this possible or can you only Find In Page on the same page or another frame?
Basically, I have a link that should open the targeted link in a blank page, and upon the link being clicked, the original page's URL should be changed. The reason for this is that the user has to browse information on another website, and then pass the information on to me via a contact form, so rather than make them click back on my tab in the browser, and then find the "Contact" page link to fill in the form, I thought it would a good feature to simply go ahead and load the "Contact" page upon them clicking the link to the external page (which of course loads in a new tab). Here is the code I have in place:
This all works fine on my computer, regardless of the browser that I use. One of my partners on this project called me this morning and said that the link was taking him directly to the "Contact" page without opening the "Other Site." This is strange because after I put this in place, I showed it to him and it worked fine. Now, a few days later, and it does not work. He said that he cleared his browser cache, history, cookies, etc. and the problem did not go away. He uses IE8. After he told me it was no longer working, I went to test it myself, and it works fine for me no matter which browser I use (IE8 or 9, Firefox 3 or 4 Beta).
why this might have worked one day and not the next? Is it simply a problem on his computer, or could it be an issue where based on what type of browser you are using, this won't work. Also, I know this is the JavaScript forum, but is there a way to do this in PHP without using the JavaScript onclick event? Obviously, I can't use the header() function since this functionality needs to be present on a link within text of a page.
1. Load the first page of a series of pages into an iframe when you click a link 2. On each click load the next in order page 3. When last page has loaded if clicked again will start from the beginning.
What I am doing: I am creating a tutorial for a friend who cannot figure out how to use her new rental management program. I could use a manual slide show to have her click for the next image however, there are a LOT of tutorial images which show her what to do at that point. Her program contains a great number of setup screens, report screens etc. This means the slide show would be sitting there loading all these images before it will work. So, I figured, OK make a page with an iframe, and then I could put each image on it's own little page i.e. page1, page2 etc. Place a little button, or a next link, then have the link load the pages into the iframe in order.
brighten a page to white when a link is clicked, and then unbrighten to the new page the link sends you to.
Anyone know how to do that?
I want to make the home page be the gateway page, and if you click on any of the links, the home page fades to white really fast/smooth and then the white goes away fast and smooth revealing the link that was clicked.
